I bought some of Giant’s Contrast bumpers during the pandemic. They’re great. Still in wonderful shape. They even replaced some of my 45s with some manufacturing problems.

My REP SSB sleeves were bolted on. I cut my sleeves down to 10" long and welded them on myself.

Yep. Weld on I was talking about the inner collar portion. I have had others ask if they could cut it down, but I wouldn’t recommend it I am Sure that voids any warranty and could possibly effect the balance etc

I have the rep SSB. Wouldnt trade it for anything. The pad feels great, i use it for calf raises also. Nice review carp. Idk why, but squatting on an SSB just feels so much better on my back than straight bar squats

Definitely a great bar! Yeah the SSB is definitely a more comfortable position for your upper body. If you have no plan on competing in powerlifting, SSB are a fine squat movement. Guys that do use it as an accessory movement, or during the off-season to takeoff the pressure from shoulders, wrists, and elbows etc.

I've owned Titan's, SS Yoke, and the transformer bar. The pad on the elitefts is MUCH better/denser than the Titan, and even the Kabuki imo. But that clear coat on it is awful.

Is has been a good budget one. I am also guessing you probably got it a while ago and paid $199-$249 for it on sale or scratch and dent. I like it better at That price than $299 it’s the same bar that used to be $200.
