New journal, new background! 🤗 Haha I'd love to hear your opinions about the grey wooden look! I thought a white journal on a white table just wasn't it and we needed a change anyways... 😄 But besides that, I really hope you enjoyed this video and are having a lovely day wherever you are ❤️🥰
Really love the classic elegant look you gave your setup. I would love to hear more about your experiences in Japan in your videos. I am a fan of your art and am looking forward to your July setup.
Thank you so much! 😍 It means a lot to hear! Haha I don't really know how I'd bring up my Japanese life in the videos. 😂😅 I've thought about it but I think most people don't really care (understandably, lol), so I've shared some behind the scenes stuff on Instagram Stories instead. :) I have a highlight about my Japan life and I'm trying to share more stuff in there in the future as well ☺️
I love that clean, minimalistic, simple layout! I wanted to have a perfect bullet journal at the beginning of the year, but I ended up skipping monthly layouts during quarantine. I think I want to completely start over with a new journal
Ahhh I know the feeling! Well, the half year point is actually perfect to start a new journal in my opinion! ☺️ The old one can always be used as a practice and sketchbook! And thank you so much! 😍❤️
I'm starting a new journal very soon and you've made me want to just go ahead and do it now. It makes more sense to start it at the seventh month rather than the eighth. I love your spreads. You've given me a couple of new ideas.
I love the simple planning and bujo set up. The notebook looks really nice and probably comprobable to the Archer and Olive. I can't wait to see a review on this one as I am shopping for notebook dupes as good as the Archer and olive but inexpensive.
Thank you so much Michelle as always! 😍 And you're right, it's so comparable to the Archer and Olive, I was actually super surprised by the paper quality and how similar they were! I'm trying to get that review out as soon as possible, after I get some watercoloring experience with this notebook ☺️
Me too!! i've been using archer & olive for the past 6 months and i'm going to switch to STM after, their paper quality is just as good but mostly i'm drawn over by the fact that they have marks printed to mark half the page! so convenient!
Right!! 😍 I didn't even know about that detail, but was so pleasantly surprised after noticing it! I've been so happy with mine so far! I just wish they had more plain and boring color options of their journals for a simple person like me, lol 😂
I have ordered Scribbles that matter bullet journal for myself. I'm happy to hear that you love STM bullet journal. I love your black and grey theme. You keep it simple but it's still pretty.
I can really really really recommend the Inprint Journal. I know sometimes they are sold out, because they are a private brand that another BUllet Jounralist sells and make but they are certainly worth it with thick white paper, that is watercolor proof!
I wanted to buy it so much but unluckily they were sold out every time! 😭 It looks amazing though, and I would love to show support to a fellow creator. Thanks for bringing it up, I'll really try to get my hands on it for the next year! ☺️
Hii mam I am from India I love your bullet journal spread and you inspire me the most to start my own bullet journal .I love your goals page , and your money page thanq mam for inspiring me .I am waiting for your July 2020 setup🤗
That's awesome that you moved here! I moved to Japan in 2017 and I have gathered a bunch of journaling supplies because Japan is awesome with stationery! Did you order your journal online? Didn't even know STM ships here!
Ohh that's so exciting to hear! 😍 How have things changed for you in three years? ☺️ And omg I've already started the hoarding process.... There're too many options everywhere 😂 I ordered my STM from Japanese Amazon, I was super surprised to see they had it, and it came the next day! ☺️
So simple yet so beautiful! I love the inspiration page! I have one myself at the beginning of journal next to goals page! Very important to not wait for inspiration but seek it out yourself 🧡
I’ve have been following your channel since your first Bujo video ! Ur bujo ideas and art are always inspiring ! :) keep it up and can’t wait to see ur July setup !
I will definitely use the money spreads for my next year bujo set up....it's so useful to do it that way....Thank you as always for such an inspiring video!
WOW!!!! Everything was so beautiful and perfect, but at the same time simple and minimalist. I love it!! If I could paint like you I would definitely recreate it in my own bujo. I'll suscribe to see more of your beautilful pages
Your setups are always so clean and simple but still elegant, whether it's a truly minimal beginning journal spread like these or a more colorful/decorative monthly spread. I've used a number of your designs in my own journal, and I love them! These spreads are simple enough that I can recreate them myself, but I don't have anything near your artistic talent, so I've purchased some of your monthly setups on Etsy too. I'm so glad you've made them available, thank you! Do you have any plans to make some of your older spreads available there as well? Congratulations your marriage!
Thank you SO much! 😍 Hearing all of that means more to me than I can even explain! ❤️ And hum, I haven't thougt about making the old themes available in my job, mainly because I've already destroyed the pages by using them. 😂 I could probably edit them clean though, but didn't think anyone would be interested in the old designs. Do you have any specific theme in mind you would wish me to add? ☺️ It's always nice to hear outside opinions!
I totally understand having used the old spreads and it may not be feasible to put them up for sale if it would be insane editing them to blank! I know you usually put up a couple of versions of your setups when you post them to your shop now - both a blank version and a more date-specific version. It doesn’t make sense to keep the date-specific version forever but the blank version could be used anytime and might make sense to leave that. I’d definitely still use blank versions of some of your older setups! The ones that come to mind are the one with the gorgeous lighthouse painting, the one with the deer kind of in front of mountains, and the first hummingbird you did. I didn’t find your channel/shop in time to use them for the months they were originally in, but I’d totally use them (and any others) in the future. Even if the entire setup would be too much to edit to blank and post, just some of those drawings as separate stickers/decorations would be amazing. I think people could build their own setups and just add those as decoration which would make them more versatile too. Anyway, just a thought! Hope you are well and enjoying Japan!! 😊
Having had to face just how short life is and how suddenly ends, I have learned there isn't always time. Heart attacks are sudden life stealers. My uncle is gone, and Dad was disabled by the 2nd one which completely changed what can be done. Our next hour isn't guaranteed, let alone next year.
But we cannot live live assuming we will die soon either. There needs to be a happy medium between “I’ll do it later” and “I shouldn’t bother because I’ll probably die”. As she said, she wrote there is time in reference to the year we just spent trapped inside, and might continue to do. It is good for mental health to be able to look to the future in this case.
Hi! Thank you for sharing this. How do you like your Scribbles that Matter Pro journal in comparison to your Archer & Olive one so far? I'm having a hard time deciding between the brands.
Hi! ☺️ They're veeery similar to use! The paper is basically the same in both, the thickness, color and feel is exactly the same. I personally think the Archer&Olive has prettier colors and designs, but the Scribbles that matter is cheaper, it has page numbers and helpful small marks in the middle of the pages, which makes counting the dots much easier while planning. So as a conclusion, I think it really comes down to your preference in those small differences. I think both are great options for a bullet journal nevertheless, and it's really difficult to choose a favorite 😄
@@JournalAway Thank you for sharing your insight. I've used the STM for a few years but have heard great things about A&O, so I was wondering how the paper quality compares.
Thank you so much! 😍❤️ It means a lot! I've mainly used the fonts called Collection and Janetta Silloam as my inspiration, but the font has slowly modified to this version that's not exactly neither of them 😄 I'm doing a video about it in the next few months ☺️
Haha we got married a few months ago, when I came to Japan! 😄❤️ (and I think this is the first time I actually mentioned it in the video, so you didn't miss out 😉)
Ahhh I don't know, should I? 😂 I feel like most people wouldn't be that interested in them on this channel (plus there's literally nothing happening in my life, lol), but I've shared some more behind the scenes stuff on my Insta stories ^^ I just really struggle to find anything interesting to share 😂
Haha it's much more than half way. 😄 I might be able to fit two more months but I'm using the last pages to test pens, stickers and sketching anyway, so it won't go to waste ☺️
I was expecting that you will upload this today Just very beautiful See my message on your instagram account Well I just opened my instagram account So love you
Well it is a personal question You are from finland but why are you in japan And another question What can I write in the japanese page You can answer me on instagram also
The biggest reason is that my husband is Japanese and since I love Japan (I was here as an exchange student few years ago), we decided to settle here. ☺️ And you could think about something you would want to use in your own bullet journal setup that I didn't set up, like a list of birthdays, a bucket list, a master to do list, a project tracker, movie/series watch list or anything else under the sun! ☺️
