New Capital One Lounge BETTER Than Centurion?...

If I were in DFW right now I would visit the Capital One Lounge instead of the Centurion. Not even a question. 🎉

I visited both lounges a few weeks ago at DFW. I have both C1VX and Amex Plat card. C1 lounge wins the showdown. Period. Better food. Variety options. Killer dessert. Less crowded. Better view. Also can do carryout. Customer service better. I got a thankyou card and candy for stopping by.

I live in Dallas, travel from DFW frequently and have been to both. The Capitol One lounge is not the Centurion Lounge “Killer”. The lounges are equally as nice. However, the Capitol One lounge is MUCH less crowded than the centurion lounge, making it more appealing.

The Capital One lounge makes the Centurian Lounge look like a 7-11. Seriously, It is waaaay better all around!

Last time when I visited Capital One lounge there was queue and they waitlisted us, had to wait more than 30 mins. They also mentioned shower room is broken and guests cannot access them

Yes but the problem with Capital One is that is few Lounges Vs Centurion that have more Lounges

Live in Dallas and commute to LA many times for family. I can say the Capital One Lounge destroys the Centurion Lounge for sure in DFW. Other places it’s different but comparing apples to apples they do a far better job. As for the guests it’s easy and customer service at the Capital One Lounge is great! I was extremely impressed. Flying out of DFW a lot and I won’t use any other lounge now.

I don’t understand how anyone can do a review of a lounge and say it’s a killer of another lounge if in fact I’ve never been to that lounge. I have never been to the capital one lounge and probably won’t be in the near future but I can say I’ve been to at least half a dozen centurion lounges and they are Generally the best I’ve been to in the US, but they do vary a bit. I’ve had to wait online to get it into a centurion lounge once for about 20 minutes otherwise I am generally checking right in and going in. Centurion lounge at CLT is my favorite so far.

The guest speaker is certainly a lovely lady.... But she's never been to the Centurion lounge and has only been to the Capital One lounge once. Maybe I'm old, but in my day, we brought-in guest speakers who were maybe experts or had something to add. Not sure what the purpose of this lady was.

Thank you Jazzy for sharing your experience! And thank you Ben for hosting. Great video. I’ve been to the C1 Lounge and it was outstanding. Especially the food. I also liked the ambience and bright colors/decor. My only Centurion experience was at the newly renovated one at SFO, which had a darker feel. I barely had time for a quick walkthrough and a cookie at Centurion. It was late morning with only 2 people ahead of me in line. Both C1 and SFO Centurion were packed, but C1 still had seating and you still felt like you had space to enjoy the lounge. Hopefully, I’ll have more to enjoy Centurion in the future. Between the 2, based on my own experiences, I’d still go with C1.

Any insider info when the real new DEN Capital One lounge opens?

The regular $95 Venture card also gives you 2 free Capital One lounge visits per year. It also earns the same 2 points per dollar on all spend like the Venture X.

My sister who has been to capital One, Centurion, United, admirals club, plaza premium lounges says capital One dfw is the best lounge she has ever been in

So the C1 lounge has had a wait last two times I’ve been there. BUT: you don’t have to wait in line very long (traveled on a Friday afternoon). Like you put your name on the list and the text you when they can take you. So much better than waiting in line. I went to Bar Louie across the street to have a beer then got a ping 15 min later.

I went to the capital one loung in DFW, hands down the best place I have been in an airport. I went to 4 in one day just to see how they compare. When I saw capital one is on point, it would be an under statement

Was surprised to see this was about the DFW C1 lounge, that's been open for over a year already. Seeing "new", I was hoping it would be announcing the opening of the IAD or DEN location.

I've been to the DFW Capital One Lounge several times. I've never been to a Centurion Lounge. But Capital One Lounge is by far the best lounge I've been to (compared to any Priority Pass lounge). I'd also argue its better than the Delta flagship lounge in Atlanta, which I've been to.

sounds like cap one lounge wins just on shower alone. centurion has showers, they are not always broken, but they are always broken or "something wrong with the pipes" whenever guests want to use the shower.

Nice to see capital one stepping up the competition. My wife has the Venture X and we love it. Best way to get lounge access for cheap.

can you use the AMEX Plat airline incidental credit if you buy drinks at the Capital One bar?

I've been to both in Dallas... ... the food is a little better at the Centurion as you can get as much as you want.. BUUUT the Capital One lounge feels classier because of the way they lay out the food AND the VIEWS... the views are amazing!!! they need to modify the bathrooms at capital one.. there is always a line!!!!

Flying out of Seattle next Friday, right in the middle of the day. Hoping the centurion lounge isn’t too crowded.

Hoping the Denver and Dulles lounges open soon! I am stopping by Denver in Sept and April (2024) Dulles in Nov and March (2024) no DFW stops scheduled.

It would be extremely nice to have if I had a flight delay or an extended layover, provided that it wasn’t overcrowded and you could gain access, but I’m still not sold on this whole airport lounge thing. I’m glad that it’s there though for the people who enjoy it.

Having been to both in DFW, I found the Capital One overall experience to be better... They are both great, though. I suggest a long layover and do both... And swing by the Flagship lounge if you are so entitled...

Centurion lounge at JFK has 1 shower, but it was pretty nice as lounge showers go.

Was trying to get to into Delta lounge at JFk and they want me to pay $50 for my wife and same thing for centurion. Not worth it in my opinion especially for a $695 cc That’s a platinum killer for me, it’s not a good card for couple that want to get into the lounge.

She disqualified herself by saying she’s never been to a Centurion lounge. It’s hard to say a lounge is better without either 1) having personally experienced it OR 2) having quantitative evidence that one’s better.

Hmmm aww Ben I hope your wife don’t see this video or you’ll have a lot of explaining to do…anyway that lounge just open so it should be great with less crowds cause there are more platinum card holders then Venture X card holders and you judging the food by its looks and not taste or freshness and if you live in New York then a lounge in Houston is of little use to us New Yorkers
