@@brandoncardoza i think it just has to do with there being a first black howard and seymour (besides the one seymour on the uk tour who never got to debut and kirsten being an alternate. We really can say this cast is very diverse for those reasons. We have never had a black seymour and howard
@@ethansuggs9712i get where you’re coming from, but this was way prior to the Aragon tour queens debuting, and still that cast had a Puerto rico howard and a filipina seymour. So i’m confused on why you commented this?
I can't imagine how nervous they are, they have a huge responsibility, because people will compare them with the old queens but i know that this queens are gonna kill it!!!
Errrr have you seen every cast of Hamilton? The casting call states explicitly that they want to cast BAME actors for most if not all of the named characters other than King George
Despite having seen the new cast in person, here is what I think of this megasix : Obviously this is their first show and given how the queendom (me included) was extremely sad about their previous queens leaving, this must have been an ordeal to the new queens (even if we all agreed that the new cast would be extremely welcome) so I guess they were really nervous. However this sounded amazing ! I haven't remembered the actresses' names yet so Imma mention their role. Aragon, I think, reminded me a lot of Lauren Drew. She is already quite confident in her role but i'm sure in a few weeks she will have developed her own guimmicks. Boleyn was a bit hard to hear on the recording but I think she has all the sass needed to be a wonderful Boleyn. Edit : I've bing watched this and pressed repeat a few times, and I notice her voice going up on "fun", which is surprising for her performance, she already knows deeply what she wants her Boleyn to be and that's amazing Seymour was super great really, she has the same vibe as Nathalie Paris and Abby Mueller : those strong mom vibes. All Seymours seem to be always ready to give a hug. I'd be interested in seeing her Heart of stone ! Cleves was the most complicated role to get cast on, since Get Down technically isn't the most complicated song (AYWD and IDNYL I'm talking about you) but Lexi, Shekinah, Brittney, they all have developed their specificities as Cleves. This role demands huge comic timings, confidence and experimentation. The current Cleves was super good, don't get me wrong, but I think in a few weeks, when she will be used to "entertaining" the Queendom during the megasix, she will be really incredible. But now she's already great ! Howard too, during the megasix, has a line that works best when you really know your fandom "sing along to your favourite queen's song" which must have been tricky to say since it was her first performance. However, she reminded me of Aimie, but it seems like her rendition of K Howard is going to be a bit more mature than what we had previously seen. Parr was honestly great, and as for Cleves and Howard I think her characterization development is going to be amazing. This cast looks very very promising and I already love them. Merry Coronation, new Queens !
She's not our first Principal Howard of color (the first is Samantha/Native American (and I think Latina)) but I'm like 99% sure she's our first Black Principal Howard.
Love love love this, they are all wonderful! K Howard in particular is giving me life! Can't wait to see more of this wonderful cast and the alternates too 😁💜
Absolutely LOVE this new cast. I was gonna list all the Queen's that gave absolutely dominating power vocals but then I realized that I was about to list all the actresses from this performance. I absolutely love love LOVE this new cast and I'm looking forward to everything they put forth. Reign on, West End!
How exciting! It’s so awesome that we get to see these fabulous Queens at the start of their journey. I can’t wait to see how they make the roles their own. Two more months and I’ll be there in the front row 👑
I wouldn’t call four black, one white one Asian diverse. Dives means a wide variety, not black. In my opinion it’s the same as one black one Asian and four white.
@@brynbreakerofrules8058 a majority black cast is diversity while a majority white cast isnt . quite frankly we dont need more representation of white people .
@@darrest9808 I’m not saying that while people need representation, nor am I saying it’s bad. I’m saying it’s not diversity, it’s representation, that’s all :)
Thank you so much for uploading this!!! Will you be uploading any vlogs? Also, I love how the new cast have just started and they're already recognising you and smiling at you! And, I think I just spent an hour watching this megasix on repeat because they're just so amazing!
They all sound very nervous especially Boleyn and Cleves… idk how and why, but I can sense they’re still getting used to it esp as they replace the OG Queens… but I KNOW! They will be amazing!!! That harmonization in “we don’t need your love” OMYLAWRD IT WAS LIKE I WAS WATCHING A CHOIR HFJXJVJD 😭😭 I AM INLOVE ALREADY!!!!!!
This new BoBo (I haven't learned the names of the new cast yet, but I'll get there) really understood the assignment. She really seems like she IS just trying to have some fun, and her energy was amazing! I do believe I'm going to like this new cast! I'm ready to see some alts and alt cuisines though, and unless I'm remembering incorrectly, there's one more alt in the new cast than there are traditional alt costumes, so I'm wondering if we're going to get a brand new color in the alt costumes...
This literally gives me all lives matter also finally andrea not the only Asian main Boleyn (no offence I support all) but ye (love the costumes there different then some other costumes that looks like this )
@@tatumfromkoreaplays2768 Considering she played Fatimah/Pritti in ETAJ and has the middle name Nadime, I think it's safe to say she is of asian/middle eastern descent
3 white queens 1 asian queen 4 black queens 1 maori queen 1 middle eastern queen Please stop with the "all black isn't diverse" comments because you're literally lying.
