I have been using a sample of the Chantecaille Rose Tint and I was very surprised by how blurring it is. I've been forgoing foundation and spot concealing. It gives a fresh everyday look that is office appropriate. It is now on my "buy" list. Love it on you. And I do like a gel. Haven't tried it under my Future Skin yet. Thanks for the video!💚
I have both and much prefer the Chanel - I personally thought it was more blurring and helped hide my pores as well as being more moisturising. The Chantecaille felt lovely going on in the hot weather but I didn't feel it helps my makeup as much as the Chanel. I would tend to ear it when not wearing any other foundation product.
The Chanel product sounds lovely, but I’m wary of the oil in it since I have oily skin in the summer and combination in the cooler months. I have the Chantecaille, which has no oil and seems to work well on my skin. I’ve also noticed that, if I apply the Chantecaille under my eyes and beneath my concealer, it gives an pretty luminous look and seems to inhibit creasing. The blurring effect is real, which I enjoy very much. Thanks so much for comparison video - very helpful.
To be honest I don’t know yet which one is best for my skin, but I can say for certain both look and sound good! I was curious about them and I’m glad that you made a video specifically for these two products! You read my mind! Thank you for this comparison. I think I should try the Chanel. I have the Chantecaille and I really enjoy it. I don't like products that come in jars that much. It sounds like these products are very similar.

Great comparison .. I was not aware of the Chanel and now want to try it … but … I am completely hooked on the Chantecaille and use it daily. Today to be totally extra 😊 I did a light application of the Chantecaille then a light layer of the Isamaya illumination and then barely there layer of Chanel water fresh touch … my skin was so perfect all day through 7 zoom sessions! I was quite proud of myself … LOL!
Great review, I use La Mer Primer & La Mer Illuminizer, both have skincare ingredients and are long wearing. Nothing I've seen on the market compares to La Mer skincare ingredients especially in their makeup. Perfect on mature skin. Thanks so much.
I bought the Chanel primer when I saw it as a new product. I also bought the La Mer primer. They are both new so unsure if I prefer one over the other. Thank you for these reviews Alison ❤
You're looking very lovely! The Chanel side looks so much more natural than the Chantecaille, which has an artificially glitzy appearance and seems to actually alter your complexion to a lighter shade and who needs that? Have you ever tried the By Terry CC Brightening CC Serums? They're quite nice, too. They also have a wonderful Densiliss primer that is so effective that I don't need foundation when I use it.
Hey Allison you look great with your hair straightened out. I have to say I like the chantecaille side, it definitely blurs your skin making it look youthful. Chantecaille is for me. Thank you for the comparison👌💕💕💕
I definitely saw on the Chantecaille side the lifting and bluring it was evident on screen. I love the Chantecaille i probably should have bought another one in the sale i have like a quarter of the jar left , i use it so much. It does have a scent mine does . I think the packaging is definitely prettier more lux but can be annoying in that jar and always worried im gonna drop it and break it on the tile floor. It also has better skincare ingredients in it, i think the peptides add to the lifting smoothing effect. I feel its more then just a makeup type product and i dont find that with alot of skincare/makeup products. * Haven't tried the Chantecaille skintint one it was sold out in the summer sale and idk if I remember seeing it in this sale or I probably would have picked it up .

I love both brands but usually favour Chanel however, in this case, I think the Chantecaille made your skin look more perfected. Also I notice the Chanel has silica which I try to avoid as I hate how it feels and often pills on me so for that reason too I’d personally opt for the Chantecaille. Really appreciate this video as I was looking at both of these and it’s helped cement my thoughts on them - thank you 😊
Allô Allison! J’aime beaucoup le primer de Chantecaille . J’ai la peau très pâle et il est vraiment très « glowy » mais sous un fond de teint c’est super beau . La seule chose qui me freine pour celui de Chanel est le fait que l’alcool est le 2ième ingrédient ( alors que celui de Chantecaille n’en contient pas ) . Je n’ai pas de problème à utiliser des produits qui contiennent de l’alcool mais j’essaie d’éviter lorsqu’il est en haut de la liste des ingrédients parce que ce n’est pas le meilleur ingrédient pour la peau… Merci pour cette revue ! Loved the video, thanks so much dear Allison!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I have the one from Chantecaille with my dry sensitive skin, but use skincare first of course, mostly from Chantecaille as well. Chanel skincare/primers are absolutely a no, as they always contain alchohol AND fragrance, nice brand, Chanel, but they never learn this. Foundations, maybe i'll try one, as foundation is of course not the first layer on my face. I'm crazy about my Rêve de Camelia illuminator/highlighter from last year, sometimes eyeshadows, the rose naif lipgloss, and that is it, i think. But with their eyeshadows, they really make progress!!! Chanel, as well as Suqqu are the only brands i'm really excited to see what is the Christmas collection, for now than. @@AllisonChase i tried the Stress Repair for the eyes, but stopped, it got a bit into my eyes everything, no matter how carefully i applied. And i really love their Nano Gold energizing eye serum, but really addicted to their Nano Gold energizing eye cream, mostly i combine them, or i use one from Sysley (evening) In the morning i love this new Rose the May Eye lift, as my eyes can be more thick because of the medication than, love this product!!! The best product they make, it's that Bio Lifting Serum of course, i don't always use it twice a day, but try to, addicted! Love the Bio Lifting mask as well as the Bio Lifting mask plus, it depends how dry the skin feels. Dry now, lots of AC during the smog, and now end afternoon/evening making the house warm in the autumn. This brand is very expensive, i only buy it when there are price actions here in Europe, still cannot buy from the Chantecaille USA/UK website, which i really do not like, as it became my fav brand within 2 years! And i watch (back) lives, from you, from Abby, as i learn so much than!!! So, making steps, with, for instance first the Blue Light Protection Hyaluronic Serum, than the THE (Bio Lifting) SERUM, than doing something else, let the serum set into my face and neck, than a moisturizer, a more thick or more thin one, i love the Creme Anti-Stress Aux Fleurs from them, the Healing Emulsion, their Bio Lifting Oil Free Fluid, with or without the Rose the Mai oil, or another oil, i have one from a Cult Beauty goody bag that one is also very good, forgot the name, can search if you like to know. When i'm to tired for these kind of steps, after using the Purifying and Exfoliating Phytoactive Solution, i splurge and smash on my entire face an neck the Gold Mask, i don't do that every day🤣, an expensive hobby. I do not go anywhere for my face, can't trust my dry sensitive skin to somebody else, i'm a control freak with that. Besides Chantecaille is still love some Clinique products, especially my Comfort On Call i use, when everything went wrong and my skin REALLY hurts. This special Clinique moisturizer was THE solution after trying La Prairie moisturizer, what a terrible stuff this is, i even got fever than, a few years ago. I also did not trust Sisley skincare anymore, but i have a sleeping mask from them now (heard from Michele Wang), wonderful stuff, and i have Creme de la Blair for the morning, learned from my friend Chelsea here (Glamgirlchelsea), it's the softer, more affordable answer to La Mer. Not the same as La Mer, Chelsea says, but comes close! La Mer, i tried some samples, very expensive and don't love this brand on my skin, it was not a La Prairie experience, but yes, the addiction is here, i'm a Chantecaille addict. What i did not like from Chantecaille, was the moisturizer in the green jar, the CBD i believe, it smells like stuff for doing the dishes. I think it's not the end of me trying and loving their wonderful skincare! For my body, i use Nécessaire The Body Serum, fragrance free, love it, buy it via Space NK. Where i also buy my Chantecaille, or Cult Beauty, Niche Beauty Germany, 24S Paris. Because, especially the first 3 mentioned companies have lots of price actions. It's also available at Douglas here in The Netherlands since a few months, but no actions yet. But on the Chantecaille website everything is available, that is never at a retailer, and that is why i really don't like it that i cannot buy from their website when they have actions. But found via them Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Space for Giants, with my passion for elephants! This was long, but this is a bit about my skincare that i use since last year, i can forget something here and there, that's possible. Since i use Chantecaille skincare as well (first only the makeup), my skin is a bit more quiet, more smooth, and a little bit less dry! Have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
Thanks so much for the in depth and thoughtful comparison review. It sounds like the Chanel is rather similar to the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base, since it is thicker and more moisturizing. Any thoughts on how they stack up against one another?

It looked lovely on the skin. However, I noticed I had a lot of sparkles on my arm where I swatched the product once I was outside under natural light. Have you found this to be so? Would this show under foundation? I love the product’s blurring and brightening/healthy skin effect so I’m a little heartbroken😕

I really love the new Chanel primer, it’s truly skin care product for me…it’s truly plumbing and refreshing moisturizer. But…I’m testing for one week already this product and for some reason all my Chanel foundations doesn’t look good with this new primer…I don’t know why, maybe I should to try skip some steps for skin care with this primer… I still really hope i will find the way to use it.

I did a phone order of the the new Chantecaile makeup collection and the SA told me about this skin tint so I just threw it in. I had no idea it was supposed to be a primer. I was using another primer on top. The glow still showed through. I like it but did wonder if I was supposed to wear it all over or just cheekbones. I've been wearing it all over because of the texture. I am curious about the bronze version and I still want to see the Chanel one. Thanks for the clarification.

I have both of those products & the chanel gives more of a glow than tbe chantecaille & the chantecaille is alittle more greasy feeling than the Chanel,its not super greasy but the texture of the chantecaille is just slightly greasy..& the chanel has a strong scent wheras the chantecaille has no scent,ive worn each of them as primers & the chantecaille doesn't do much 4me as a primer & as a primer the chanel is more hydrating & glowy
If I heard you correctly these are the same size so price should be a consideration and Chanel is $48.., Chantecaille is $77.00. I like the Chanel packaging much better and on you I am not seeing a difference on your skin so it’s a no brainer to me.
