I’m sorry that people are constantly insisting that you are wearing coverage when you’re bare faced or that you’re using filters. However, you could spin their criticism and think, “Dang, I must have some gorgeous skin!!!” Which, BTW, I think you do!! This foundation looks beautiful. I couldn’t pay that much for any product but that would never cause me to miss out on one of your videos! You are so talented, thorough, and honest with your reviews. Thank you for your dedication to your channel & for teaching me so much!! 💜
God forbid people believe that you have beautiful skin which by the way you work very hard at!! I struggle to understand why people can't just be happy for other people but I guess it goes back to the saying... their not happy if they have to constantly criticize others. I, however appreciate the knowledge I get from your skincare videos and use it in my everyday life and skincare routine. I absolutely love cushion foundations, the ease of the puff which I do like to use. The patting and pressing and not losing any product is something I appreciate. I may want to get this but just ordered the Clinique serum and Shieseido foundation. Have to see how they work. You look beautiful as always.
I struggle with the same thoughts. I understand people have insecurities. Heavens knows that I have plenty myself. I was just always taught that if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say it all; whether to someone's face or behind the safety of a computer screen. I hope to get a review of the Clinique foundation up soon!
Feeling the same way about this cushion foundation. It has become my favorite - my skin is dry, mature with a touch of redness - just loving it. It edged out Surratt Dew Drops as my favorite foundation. Great review, Mandy ❣️

Just picked this up and am super bummed to report that this. foundation. is. everything. Because it’s SO expensive!!!! And because I hate big, fussy packaging which a cushion foundation inherently is. But the product is worth it. Flawless. My skin but 10x better. The fact that the product is separated into two cushions is kind of nice... I throw out so much product when seasons change and this allows me to save the second cushion (all wrapped and perfectly preserved) for its next season. Planning to get another compact in the next shade darker and rotate the two throughout the year. I can’t wait to finally have a water-based foundation for summer that I love. Thanks for the review!

Just tried this today, finally splurged for my birthday. Wow! I love it. After I figured it out. I was swiping it and nothing came out, until I realized oh yea, it's a cushion so I bounced it. Duhhh... but so happy. Natural coverage. Yay!
Mandy!!! I was trying so hard to resist buying this. Given you like it and because Future Skin is my favourite foundation of all time, I just caved. At least it was on a slight sale for Lunar New Year.
First, let me say that I love your new set up. It's so much easier to see what you're doing and the lighting is great! The foundation -- I have aging (58) combo skin and recently got this. It is beautiful on the skin and does wear well. Even though I have textured skin, I still have to combat oil through my t-zone, which is so annoying, so i always have to powder. While I love how this looks, I do overall prefer the original Future Skin because it is oil free and keeps my skin less oily for longer. However, the cushion is great for touch-ups later in the day, because it adds a bit of moisture back to my skin, which keeps me from looking dry when I need to add a bit more powder. This does work great for me when it's colder and less humid outside (I live in north Florida, so humidity plays a huge role in how a foundation wears on my skin). Hope this helps!

It's crazy how foundations work different for everybody, because this one is less shiny on me than the gel foundation. So funny! Ok, it's hard to make anything look awful on that gorgeous face, but girl it's looking exceptional on you. I may have to take the plunge. You had me at "blurring". Great delivery on content. I could just watch you apply make up for hours. You probably could do it in your sleep, you make it look effortless and always natural.
I just received this in Vanilla and am LOVING it. I also use JI Liquid Minerals (have used it for almost 20yrs). I like it with the ELF sponge and the IT 115 brush. I'd love to know which foundation you travel with?? We are going to Europe for 2 weeks and I'd love you to do a video on what you'd take on a longer trip - BOTH skin care and makeup. How do you travel with an Elf Sponge?? And do you wash the ELF after each use?? Thanks Mandy I'd also like to know if you are liking that Real powder (can't remember name) for under eyes more than the Pat McGrath Under Eye Powder? Are you using a concealer with the Cushion now, or still just adding extra Cushion to your under eye??? And you aren't setting your under eye either??? I'm still on a learning curve with the Cushion, but the Vanilla is a perfect match for me.
I will definitely add the vacation makeup video to the list. I tend to pack pretty minimal when it comes to makeup and travel. I actually have sponges that I get for super cheap that I use in my kit and just give to my clients. So, I will typically take one of those and just throw it away at the end of the trip. I do wash my ELF one about every other use with my Dr. Bronners bar soap. I do think I prefer the Rare Beauty powder more than the PM, although I do still like the PM one. And yes, most of the time I do use concealer with the cushion, and I always set under the eye even if I don't set the face.

I found the future skin gel in vanilla too light and nude was perfect but do you think the shades run lighter in the cushion foundation? Hey Laura, I haven't tried too many other cushion foundations honestly, so I don't know of any that would be comparable. I need to look into more though since I love this one so much.

From what I have seen, they run a bit lighter. If you reach out to @angelarogers on Instagram, she can help you with shades. She is a Chantecaille rep, and is always a great help!
I feel like the gel foundation needs to be set, on me at least. It is also dewier and doesn't blur as much. While I LOVE the gel one, I do think I like this one even better. :)
When I was much younger and her age my skin was like that too and that comes from taking care of it. She has a natural beauty she takes care of her skin she takes care of her body. My mother had me using as a young person I started using Noxzema my mother made her own like mud stuff for her face.
What do you mean by “mask” when you’re talking about foundation? Have you tried the IT cosmetic cushion foundation? I used to love that and would like to know how it compares to this one😘

The foundation looks beautiful! Looks like I’m going to have to start saving, and buy some of there products. I do want to get the powder as my first purchase. I’ve spends hundreds upon hundreds on foundations I don’t care for so I don’t mind spending the money on something if I really like it. I have so many foundations just sitting around that I’ve spend $50 or $60 dollars on. You look amazing, and thanks again for another great tutorial. I agree Crystal. It pains me the foundations that I end up throwing away because they expire before I can use them all up. Especially when I know there are those select few that will never let me down. This one has made that list for sure! And sure...I use the Minetan Ultra Dark Self Tanner. :)

I will add the Lancome to my list. Thank you! I think the Gel is more dewy than this one, and I do feel the need to set it. This one blurs more than the gel one too. I LOVE the gel, but I think I like this one even more.
It looks beautiful however, i heard on another channel that the compact only lasts for 10 appliances and that there isn’t a separate refill available, which spoils the fun for me a bit really. So i won’t repurchase it if thats true.
Oh that definitely hasn't been the case for me at all. I am not sure how much product they were using, but I have used mine over 20 times at least, and I still have product in the first compact. And if you turn it over, you get even more product.
It's hard to compare it to the powder foundation since they are so very different in formula, but I do think I actually like it more than the future skin gel cream. Which I never thought I would say. LOL

For sure. I'm not a follower of others. I found you by accident and I'm sold! You read ingredients and I've learned a ton about the order they appear etc. I've always been blessed with good skin and never put any effort in. Now at 44 I want to and you're a great resource. The ranking would be a great watch.
Oh that is so hard to say since I don't use it daily. But I will say that if you take the cushion out, and flip it upside down, it has a huge amount of product to be used that way. :)
It would be hard for me to compare because to me they are so much different. This one is so much lighter weight than the BC, but it is less coverage as well. I would say they are both in my top 5. xoxo
I do think you could build it up to that. It also works really well with other cream products, so if you wanted to use a fuller coverage concealer on your spots, this would work well for that too!
It is truly unfair that you are accused of not being truthful about your bare skin. But the problem might really be that people who struggle with big skin problems just feel bad about their own imperfections seeing your lovely skin. It’s like me watching someone who is 5’ 9” wearing size 4 trying on clothes and mostly what I feel is awareness that nothing she tries on would look like that on me. Ever. So maybe say a prayer for people who might be struggling and feeling discouraged about their skin.
Oh I definitely understand everyone has their insecurities. I have plenty of my own. And I do feel for those people. I just wish it didn't manifest itself in ugly comments that I get every so often.
