I don’t celebrate the holiday. However, we went to visit my bro in law because his family is out the country. I literally told my husband to be more aware while we drove home due to other people likely drinking.
That's why in Islam ALLAH (The Creator) Holy Qur'an 5:91 Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist? That's why as a Muslim, is the reason i/we don't drink alcohol. My heart goes to the victim families.

@@YesItsReallyKeithSo true! They might be required to put a breath monitor in their vehicle and use it before the vehicle will actually start but virtually none of them get that apparatus. They also will have suspended licenses, etc, but that doesn't stop them either. They simply drive illegally and almost always get away with it...until, very unfortunately, somebody gets injured or killed.

I don't drink, alcohol, tastes like crap to me. I CAN but i choose not to, I've never liked the way people behave on the stuff. They become more emboldened on it.

This is beyond tragic! I am soooo sorry for the families victimized by an irresponsible driver, the worst type, one drinking alcohol and using his vehicle as a weapon...
This is ao hurtful to hear about. Im glad they caught and are actually convicting the culprit, and Im sending my sincerest condolences to the families of the victims.
The defense is obvious, he wrote a book about it and nobody heard his cry for help blah blah blah as such in 99% of courtrooms....and custody battles....and divorces......and family courts........and on an on throw some latin in there every now and then to seem impressive (cloaks and daggers language tactics, aka gang signs, symbols, words etc). Whatever Justice used to mean it hasn't meant that in a very long time.

I love to party. I Uber everywhere, even with my kid at times. If you can’t afford an Uber ride, you shouldn’t be out drinking. No excuses these days! Sad.

Those poor people innocently celebrating our nations day. Hope they get justice. This idiot wrote a book and learned nothing. DUI penalties are way too lenient . Over and over we see these people released to the streets. God be with the families.

Did they say he has a girlfriend...and that he wrote a book....and that he is or was a counselor...and that he was DUI? What else is there about this guy?
Alcohol is the devil's drink. Most ppl can handle it in moderation, but there are millions that are addicts and make deadly decisions. RIP to the fallen and lots prayers to all their family and friends😢 🕊️🙏🏽💐
As someone who cannot say I've never been guilty of drinking and driving.....I've never hurt anyone or wrecked (Got back home so that doesn't count) into anyone else so I'm kind of saying this while counting myself lucky, but If I'm that wasted where I can barely walk, I'm going to bed.
