🍦, I know you're probably not going to see this, but I work for a dealership out of Percival VA, we have a KTM RC8C in our show room, it was the first of 100 off the line if you wanted to come through and get it.
CFMoto is probably the brand I am most interested in watching the development of currently, despite the fact that I definitely shared the same stigma toward chinese motorcycles in the past. Their current lineup is genuinely good (reliability still needs time to see how it shakes out, but initial quality is at least really impressive), and the pricing is just untouchable for the features. They may still be a relatively small player right now, but give it 5 or so years and the other manufacturers wont be able to ignore them. Like it or not, Chinese manufacturing of both motorcycles and cars is here and its not going anywhere. All we can hope for is that the resulting products are good. Its important to remember, countries don't make products. People do. I don't like the actions or stances of the Chinese government, but that doesn't mean the average citizen can't be a genuinely passionate enthusiast just like any of us.
The Chinese don't allow Vehicle Manufacturers into their market unless they make product there - With a 50/50 Chinese Partner. We've taught them everything we know. There's no reason why they should be worse than anything from Detroit. And General Motors got greedy after US Taxpayers bailed them out, and sold their Chinese Partner 1 more share, making it a 49/51 Partnership. General Motors is now just SAIC's US Retail wing. All their R&D is done in China.
Funny the people saying they won't buy chinese products because of the ccp, as if all profits went to them. These same people seem to have no issue buying a bmw or jap bike, and both countries killed many innocent people, and some of their grandfathers in ww2! And almost all products sold today likely have some chinese made parts.
Will increase in price for sure, but I doubt it would be as expensive as the big 4. They still pump out bikes at a higher volume than their competitors even for today's standards.
Honestly, as a long time rider of Hondas, they deserve it. I got fed up with their shit when "inventory issues" were happening for years and let the dealerships mark up bikes to disgusting prices. Not to mention how we always got fed the leftover scraps while the rest of the world got updated bikes. I mean like seriously, their "2023" CBR600RR is still using the same dash from over a decade ago, what the fuck...
@@wajalama It shows conflicting images on google, some show the digi-dash, some show the analog-dash for 2023 600rr, not sure which is the right image.
Let me just say I recently lowsided my 2023 KTM 790 Duke (CF MOTO BUILT) at about 60 mph. And the bike held up really well, no snapped welds or fractured ally. If it wasn't for a bent front wheel I could've ridden home. I've done 5k miles on it already and no issue to speak of. Very impressed.
A bike rammed into my Husky's(Made in India) radiator at 50+kmph, just the guard fell off which I picked up and put on back. Another time a bike rear-ended perpendicularly nothing damaged. See if 5 ppl who had problems would post here then everyone will think there's a problem with KTM's QA but 5 will post positively people will ignore.
I bought the 700 clx sport about a month ago and I am absolutely in love with it. It was a zero mile 2022 model so I got some money off msrp and didn’t have to pay the dumb transport fee. Walked out the door with it for $6300.
Honestly I'm all for Chinese motorcycles. I think the Chinese manufacturing gets a bad rap.. they make everything. Including high end quality stuff. Just cheap us companies wanting to pay bottom dollar that purchase the cheapest stuff.
as a chinese i feel really happy that a chinese motorcycle brand is getting more reputation, and the new cfmoto clc450 cruiser is coming out this year, so I really cant wait XD
So many good words for CF Moto. Another Chinese motorcycle brand Kove is also rising, their recently-relase 450cc-sports bike is quite comaprable with the Kawasaki Zx-4RR (performance & quality)
I saw a 650 cfmoto today and the front fork chrome was massively rusted. Must be the Chineseum they make it from. Beware - these things will have zero resale once people work out the quality issues.
Lol.they use KYB forks and shocks which are far from chinesium. Also, they are cheap bikes, nobody is buying a cheap bike for resale value, hell nobody buys a bike and thinks of resale value😂. So you either made that up or seen a very poorly maintained bike.
Fun fact - The Kawasaki 650 parallel twin is also manufactured by CF Moto. It's the same engine used in CF Moto's 650 line up and the Moto Morini XCape 650. Thank me later
I want a 450SS so bad, but it just wasn't the year. I'll end up getting one in the next couple of years probably. They just look, feel, and sound so damn nice.
An RSV4 for the price of a Ninja 600......YES PLEASE!!! P.S. LEAVE THOSE OH SO SWEET DUAL SC CRT SHORTIES UNDER THE TAIL AS WELL!!! DANG THAT EXHAUST LOOKS SPICY!!!!!!!
CFMoto has been in Canada for YEARS, trust me, they’re junk LOL The only people that praise them, are the people that couldn’t afford a proper machine and had to “settle” for a CFMoto.
I already own a CFMoto 800 NK. Wow is that Beast a riot! No complaints yet and everything seems to be getting smoother every change oil! I know that it's early to judge but I am beyond satisfactory level at the moment! Thanks for the video Yammie! Love from the Philippines!
The only reason to hate CFmoto upfront is the fact that it doesn’t carry prestige with the badge yet. It’s more satisfying though to support the underdog and and still be there when they take over
It's not a Chinese thing, it's seeing RU-vidrs all of a sudden cream their jeans (most sounding scripted) over a new product/company under the banner of "Includes Paid Promotion". I know, gotta make a living!
Yes, please more CFMOTO content. The bikes are quality, fun, and fill the gap left between the gentleman's agreements among the Japanese brands. Bring to me the 800NK. I am ready.
So CF Motos motorcycle credibility is due to the fact it makes engines for KTM. KTM’s reputation for reliability is poor. I’ll be sticking with my Honda 🍦
Great video. The editing was crazy great. CFMoto should try to get their current bikes moving before dumping billions into upper scale wish bikes. Even the major brands are having to cut back models and consolidate engine types. But it is fun to dream.
I love how some people in here are just completely unwilling to admit CF MOTO makes a quality product. Even knowing chances are they've never even seen one in person let alone ridden one. Even going so far as to make 💩 up talking about them rusting.... Just the political biases oozing from the heir pores... Hate to break it to you guys, the reviews are in .. and they're good.....
@@solidXsnake4lifeBut big brands like yoshimura exhaust have an after market exhaust for 450ss doesn't really sound good in my own opinion but it's good because it improves performance and trusted brand you can also buy Vandemon full system exhaust dual exhaust for cfmoto 450ss around $1200 USD no tune required as long as you have the db killer/silencer 100db w db killer / 104 without db killer
bought a 2022 650NK for $6K OTD and have loved it. Ridden my friends’ R6 and mt-07, etc. Loved those bikes and yes, they were BETTER but they were also almost 3-4K more OTD and idk if they were thaaaat much better. Part availability is okay but most parts that fit kawasakis for the 650 line up work since they’re pretty similar stuff and the 700 bikes just use KTM stuff so those fit pretty well too
I think it's hysterical that there's so many fools out there that would only ever consider riding a Harley-Davidson because it's the only legitimate "American-made" bike and they make a Chinese motorcycle. F*ckng HYSTERICAL. If CFMoto is making great bikes then fantastic! More to choose from!
Currently own an mt10, had it for about 3 years now, love it to bits, the sound, the character, the handling, overall magnificent bike. But when the 450sr got released in Australia I had to take one for a test ride. When I got off of it I had the biggest smile I've had in years of riding, it was the most fun I've had riding in years. It handles great, looks awesome and sounds fucking amazing for a stock exhaust. My wife has a ninja 400, I occasionally ride it from time to time, it's a solid bike, but the 450sr is so much better in every regard. I can't talk about reliability as I havnt had one for an extended time period, but if they tick that box, the big 4 need to check themselves. Good competition is needed to keep the market in check and balanced. I for one would love to see a 1000cc from cf moto.
Re "unbreakable ASV levers" ? Meanwhile many levers are obvious DESIGNED to break (with an actual break point notch midway in the lever) rather than to destroy that expensive brake master cylinder. So IS n unbreakable lever a good thing if the application is on a master cylinder?
CFMoto is taking a page from the launch of the Hyundai/Kia automotive twins in the US. Build with quality, provide great pricing and offer a generous warranty...a proven strategy for entering a competitive market. Now we sit and wait to see if they are as good as they appear.
WTF, why do you have to start out with political crap. Just report the bike details. Let the consumers make their own decisions. What is with all the yelling jumping up & down & arm waving. Don't have anything intelligent to say.
CF Moto sure is different compared to other Chinese manufacturers (We have an abundance of Chinese made bikes here in the Philippines) from build quality alone, the difference vs QJ motor is far off.
i work as a cfmoto technician, and trust me. they can build a good machine if they want to, but they dont give a shit and are just dishing these powersport vehicles out for a huge profit, reliability is low and build quality is even lower
anyone that knows anyone who has commercial dealing with China 'production' knows this my knowledge are oilfield fittings as soon as the USA factory rep leaves the factory, the quality goes to 💩 hence, most oilfield castings/fittings from China are outlawed
thats exactly it, the quality of the casting are very poor and unpolished. such little care has went into the production of the units that bolt holes are RARE if they line up. SOO much stretching and bending trying to get things to line up, and that just the start. service manuals and instructions hardly make sense or have the CORRECT info in the manuals. the problems are never ending... again they are flooding the market with poor quality and just turning a huge profit. long story short YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET, hence the prices are so cheap in comparison to other brands. @@joeblow5037
I love my 700 CL-X. In January 2024 CFMOTO at 51% and Yamaha at 49% announced a partnership to manufacture and sell bikes in China. I can't wait to see what comes next.
I have CF Moto 300NK, and given my small experience, I can point out only minor negatives: 1) Handlebar vibration could be a bit less 2) Engine cooling system is weaker than desired (affects only slow speed riding in hot weather, 85 °F), but no overheating 3) Fork rebound is a bit harsher than desired 4) Seat could be a bit softer 5) Speedometer shows ~2 mph more than the real speed Other than that, it seems to be reliable machine (+2 years warranty), well-built, and fully suits me as a beginner bike. Main competition are India-built Yamaha bikes plus Indian brand Bajaj.
@@TheLiamis Not sure. But it is annoying to see at lower speeds, when it makes a difference. We use km/h in Azerbaijan, so it is like 9 on speedo vs 5 real. I had a Japanese car which lied about 1.2 mph , that was tolerable, 2.5 mph is not.
@@IN_ZANE_ Completely agree. I am generally happy with it, worth the money. As for major brands, we don't have dealers in our small country, so that all those bikes come either used, or for crazy prices (like Z650 2023 for $16300).
CFMoto pricing in the US makes it a little harder to pick if a CLX700 is 7k and a MT07 is 8k... But here in Australia, the price mark is tempting, the CLX700 is $8,500 whereas the MT07 is $14,500. I'm stuck between buying a Suzuki SV650 at $11k or a CLX700. My head tells me to get the SV, but my heart based on the styling and features is considering a CLX700.
My CL-X 700 Heritage was $6,400 out the door here in the US. Granted, I bought the 2022 instead of the 2023. The cheapest MT-07 I could find online (excluding Facebook) was a new 2023 for $6,900 before tax, title, registration, and dealer fees. It would also require me to drive over 400km to pick it up.
@@domesticrifles4068 - to a degree, you are correct… Japan and Germany certainly had excellent engineers, but constrained by wartime logistics/materials, their ‘progress’ throughout the war shifted to efficiency/apt prioritizing to deal with constantly shifting availability of resources…. Most significantly, I can imagine a new sense of freedom/opportunity post-war to flex their engineering skills and visions… But Italy’s military engineering was a significant factor in Mussolini’s demise….
@@SongJLikes Dunno if Ferrari or Lamborghini ever got into the tank building business like most other auto makers of the day, but if they did their tanks would probably be very fast, very unreliable, and impossible to repair in the field.
Good observation. I may be wrong but I think it has more to do with the economic reconstruction efforts made by the world leaders. Ironically, this is also the main reason why China has the manufacturing and shipping competitive edge over developed countries. It’s actually cheaper to ship an item from China to your front door than it is to ship it across the US.
Everything we buy is made in China and it all falls apart or breaks from cheap manufacturing. It would be a cold day in hell before I Entrust my life to a Chinese motorcycle
@@javierreyes4748 There have been rumors of 1250NK before, but there has been little news recently. I personally think that CFMOTO will focus on the research and development of 1000cc V4 for the time being, because they will rely on this 1000 SR to compete in WSBK. If everything goes well and gets a good response, they are expected to launch 1000NK soon, and there is no more news about 1250nk. .
The low quality 'made in China' trope is a myth that needs to die. As someone who has witnessed very high quality products churned out in Chinese factories, I can unequivocally say that they can make anything that rivals the Japanese, German etc. The low quality trinkets you see in Walmart is a function of cost not country. If you ask a German company to make a $5 gadget you will get a $5 quality.
its a fun and popular trope too, pretty much socially and morally enforced nowadays, i'll say it first i dont support the working standards and ethics there, as much as i hate inhumane work ethics elsewhere, and so neither the government, people that plays along the trope does it in their one of 75% things that are made in chinese factories.
