Cinderella has been my favorite sense I was a small child. I'm 45 and going threw radiation bc I have colon cancer, so I wasn't able to afford this doll. So I'm so so glad you were able to get her an show her in such good detail. The other videos I've seen no one has taken her out of the box. So thank you for this. Have an amazing Holiday.💗
Such a beautiful, interesting doll! I really love the box with the castle. She really reminds me of the Millennium Ball Alex doll from Madame Alexander, who had beaded fireworks on a huge ballgown skirt. Her gown is this fantastic kind of bordeaux colour? And has a matching fluffy stole. Gorgeous doll in a "this doll came from the year 2000 and it shows" kinda way haha.
Thank you for showing a closeup of the fabric of the gown with the fireworks and castle, soo gorgeous and I didn’t see that part from the stock pictures! I hope you got the situation with your bank and being doubly charged from Disney resolved!!
Hahaha mine came two days ago and I was like “WHAT?” I’ve never seen ShopDisney get anything out so quickly lol. Laughed when you mentioned it first thing. Always love watching your vids. I love taking dolls out of box too. I keep all the Disney Store Limited Edition boxes (I only have 4 counting Cinderella now) but I’ve gotten several 90’s Mattel dolls I fell in love with and was like “no I do not want this crusty old box. Girl needs to breath. Also these rubber bands are super gross.” Also wish she had the other earrings as originally shown… but she’s super GORGEOUS regardless haha. People keep saying she’s plain but I 100% disagree. She’s stunning. Her face… the jewels on the dress… the choker.. her gorgeous hair.. the embroidered castle! Which I’m not an embroidery queen but I was like 😱😍 when I saw. And the champagne color is so perfect. It’s classy to celebrate the golden anniversary for the 50th. The black trim is extremely tasteful. I feel if she had a ton of little extra details it would start taking away from what she has. The fireworks would get lost too. I feel people REALLY overlooked the real attention to detail she was given. Anyways, keep on keeping on. Always enjoy you. Our collecting opinions mesh well. And I know they aren’t in line with other collectors who die at the thought of actually removing them from the box and actually enjoying. I don’t want my girls hidden in a closet. I like them shown off. And you know those box collectors just stuff their dolls in the closet never to be enjoyed because they’re out of room haha. (Not to say it’s bad to keep in box, but some people just buy them JUST to buy the “new” doll and don’t appreciate what they have. Enjoy your collection. Get what you want. But love what you have. Don’t buy just because. You know it’s gonna sit in the dark never to be seen again lol)
I think the reason they went with the white dress is cause in the original Cinderella movie her dress was supposedly a silver-ish white colour (take this info with a grain of salt I might be wrong lol) So it's a really nice call-back
A fiftieth anniversary is usually referred to as a golden anniversary so that's likely the reason for the champagne and gold but it is great to have her in something different
the removal of the earrings and the blunt chopped nub in the back were huge deal breakers for me also the fireworks being glitter, they could have used straight stitch embroidery and got a beautiful effect and it would really put that gorgeous dress over the top, but all the rhinestones floating on the tulle iare absolutely ETHERIAL, and the construction on her crinoline with the satin top is so impressive. I feel like if they put the recommended age up to 16 they could have just released her with the metal drop earrings. they also could have left some long hair in the back or tendrils on the sides or little tiana like ringlets for a twist on cinderellas regular hair and also a long black bow detail on the back would have been so lovely
This video made me even more excited to get her. I’m in love with the embroidery on her dress. I also love the touch with the wand. I’m not sure the significance of it but it’s beautiful!
She is lovely! One of the better versions of Cinderella I have seen. The extra details on the skirt are nice but not over the top which I appreciate. I have never bought a disney collector doll. I have always appreciated them but balked at the prices. My two favorite ones are Midnight Mascarade Megara (who is stupid pricy) and Jasmine in her red outfit from the movie, and the Snow White that looks like she is from the 20s. BUT I am seriously considering getting the new Ariel. I think the reason I like her so much is because she has a strong Art Nouveau feel. With the head piece, pearl strands and ombre dress? I think I need her in my life.
sad i didn't see her when i just went to disneyworld for christmas but i did get my first disney limited doll Pocahauntas there as well as order the current Disney Designer Ariel and backordered Kida(to hopefully get). They really are beautiful dolls and i am now sad I didn't get Esme when i saw her preorder cause i wasn't planning to collect these dolls. will try to get her after market though
I was a little hesitant getting the 50th anniversary Cinderella at first because I already have SAKS Cinderella and I prefer not getting two of the same princess doll unless one is 17” and the other 12”. In the end I got her because she will be my only Disney 50th anniversary “merch” and because Cinderella is all time favorite Disney princess doll. Also I just don’t have the space for more dolls 😅
Thank you for this video... In your opinion, do you think she has little amount of hair on the new doll? I feel she doesnt have as much hair as the Saks.. as to try to change it... But she is very beautiful! Both are!
I really love my 50th Cinderella. I was a bit worried she got lost in the mail. While she shipped the next day, she didn’t arrive until a week after you posted this. It just said shipping label created and then jumped to delivered. Would the metal bracelets cause greening like the old Barbies overtime? I don’t like the flaps on the box It makes it hard to display in box. I also which it dress was one piece. The top and the dress are 2 pieces.
Disney dolls are so repetitive by their very nature so it's a nice change of pace to switch up the designs, but I like the Saks doll better. She just looks more luxurious. One nice thing about this one is that her dress isn't blue.
Haven't seen the video yet but I wanted to ask for your experience with selling dolls, I'm in need of money rn but I'm not in the US for mercari or have an active eBay account, wondering if you know of more places for sellers??
There are a lot of buy and sell doll Facebook groups, but you will need to use PayPal goods and services to be insured and trustworthy, and also you will need to figure out shipping by yourself. But, there are no sellers fees
