I am currently on my second Spacetourer. I was happy with the first one so replaced it with another new one. Comments about the steering are correct, it is very low geared and could be better. Unlike many MPV's all eight seats are adult sized with adult legroom. The fully removeable seats on rails are magic and add great flexibility. What she doesn't mention is how comfortable & quiet it is to drive on the motorway as it has much softer suspension than the vans. I prefer it to my families Ford and Skoda Saloons long distance. My manual car does 45 mpg on a run. Ignore the nonsense about the wheel covers as my basic model came with them. The Citroen and the Peugeot have the best kit options but the Vauxhall version is built to a price, so check the Vauxhall spec carefully before ordering. I recommend you order the reversing camera as it is so much easier to park with that and it will just fit in a standard multi-storey car parking space without the headroom worries you have with the VW or Transit equivalent. Both of my Spacetourer's have been completely reliable over 60k miles. Its by far the most practical car we own and is in regular demand by other family members due to this.
@@larsvaneynde4281 Yes, correct. Due to the vehicles layout there is an enormous area under the floor that could be used for a massive battery without risking ground clearance. I am very much hoping that a much larger battery will become available in the future. I need to be able to drive 500-600km a day and I would like to be able to do that with just one short charge top up. At the moment that isn't possible so I will stick with the diesel.
The Peugeot e-traveller is better specced for less money. I picked up my e-traveller Allure last week. Full leather heated and massage seats, leather steering wheel, hud, panoramic roof, alloy wheels. All stuff not available on the spacetourer without paying thousands extra. And for less money.
I payed £27 for a reverse camera for my Fiat Scudo. Still working great after two years. And better picture quality than the factory fitted on in my Mitsubishi ASX. That's just a rip off.
"Play hide and seek", that one nearly destroyed my keyboard with tea as did "Ooohh, ooh, ooohh, is there a word for that". An informative fun fuelled review of a very practical car and I would have to agree don't fill it all up with kids unless you have a really good vacuum cleaner and ear defenders. Strangle that I quite like this car, a functional practical load carrier that is also good to carry a swarm of people around in. Not sure if I'd go for the leccy version though although if it's filled with fit adults they can help push it to a charging station and have time to recover while it recharges. Nice one Nicola!
Why isn’t the e-SpaceTourer offered with the e-Dispatch van’s larger 75kWh battery pack in the UK like it is in other markets? I checked on Citroën’s French configurator and saw that both the 50kWh and 75kWh packs were available for the e-SpaceTourer, before checking the UK configurator and saw that only the 50kWh pack was available in the UK. Why Citroën doesn’t offer the larger 75kWh pack for the e-SpaceTourer in the UK I’ll never know, because if they able to offer it in other markets with the 50kWh and 75kWh packs like they do in the UK with the e-Dispatch van, then I don’t see why they can’t do the same here in the UK for the e-SpaceTourer.
This drives like a 5 series, which I’ve had, either drive it slow or hammer it , it doesn’t work inbetween , I’ve got at tyres on mine with a 20mm lift kit and it’s handles pretty dam well for its size
Wallowie is probably the word your after. As for the range, less being half! Expect a maximum of 100 miles most of the time. The problem that you so rightly pointed out is weather. Batteries do not cope well with temperature at all and as a result capacity changes, it also changes with use and age. None of that with conventional fuel! Range is always what the range is. Tank capacity never changes.
I have the 2019Citroen C4 1.5 Turbo diesel Grand Space tourer.A nicer looking car than this model. Why not having the earlier model as an E.V? Ours is big enough ideal as a disability car plenty of space for my wife's wheelchair. The engine is very responsive and economical.Ours is park assist a 6 Speed manual gearbox the grandkids love it with the moving sun roof. Why getting writ of a successful model?
Nicola is my new woman crush lol 😂 great review watched a few now and you have a nice way to keep them entertaining, so many other reviewers male and female are quite boring to watch.
Is the E Space Tourer made in Yorkshire by any chance? (As in: 'By 'eck, lad, what van were that?' 'That were no van, uncle, that were the Space Tourer!' 'Don't thee mean E Space Tourer, lad? Thee 'ast to learn to speak proper. Thee 'art a Yorkshire lad, and a Yorkshire van thee should drive.').
If you compare a modern car with one built even 10 years ago, the progress when it comes to technology and safety kit is staggering. It's not as simple as to say that cars are "more expensive" - that's somewhat missing the point!
It's a car channel, it reviews ALL cars in various price ranges. It does it very well indeed. If it only did cheap cars it wouldn't be a very good channel would it?
