Oh, Abby, thanks so much for this terrific review! Just prior to its release I had told myself NO MORE FOUNDATION for awhile until I use up the collection I’ve already built. But, when this came out I couldn’t resist and I got it! I wear B30 in everything Chanel and when I did the foundation match Clé de Peau said I needed the 030 Medium Ochre. I’m so glad I watched Erin Nicole TV’s review prior to ordering because she and I always wear the same foundation shade and she said the 030 would only work if she was self-tanning, so I ordered the 020 Light Medium Ochre and it is a perfect match. I only mention this to maybe help others in their shade selection. I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION! How in the world am I going to use up the rest of my extensive foundation collection?! Anyway, you look stunning in it and I’m super happy with it, too! It really holds up throughout the day for me, too. Hope things are getting better for Portland! Xoxo
Abby, I think this is the best I’ve seen a foundation look on you. You are glowing in a very beautiful, youthful way. The shade looks spot on. Just the right amount of radiance. Lovely look.
I am super happy with this foundation!! It's the first Cle de Peau foundation I bought because their other foundations just aren't what my super oily skin is looking for or plays well with. But this one is gorgeous. I like to have glowy skin, but many radiant foundations are just too much and fall apart in an hour so I usually go for natural/natural radiant/natural matte finish or the soft matte kind of finishes (you know the kind I'm talking about, lolll, every brand calls it something different, but the finish that just looks like skin with skin's natural sheen)!
I got a sample of this expensive foundation. It's so skin like and covers. I think it's gorgeous. I have big pores and most foundation sit in my pores and give me that polka dot pore look but not this. Thanks for doing review!! I think it is worth the price tag
Thanks for sharing!! I am so glad you addressed the PORES because I felt like I was not giving this foundation the justice it deserves on that front!! I just think it looks gorgeous on the skin and is skin like but also provide coverage!!! So glad you love it too! xoxo
Love this foundation! I made it a point to wear it everyday for two weeks and I really do think it has improved my skin! It was worth the price for me given the skincare benefits and they seem to be there. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for sharing!! This one does really feel like it is actually GOOD for your skin- which I never expect from foundation. I am so glad to know that you are seeing the benefits!!! xoxo
Abby, I ordered this foundation in B20 as well and it’s a great match for me. More importantly, I love this foundation. It’s pricey but well worth it in my opinion. Thanks for your review.
I am really interested in this one but I don't like fragrance in my makeup. I might try and get a sample to test it out. It looks great on you and I think the color match is spot on!
This looks absolutely beautiful on you! I also have dry mature skin and was turned off by the soft matte claim. Thank for doing this video. I'm definitely going to order.
You are so welcome! Patty- I almost skipped this one because of the word MATTE but I am so glad I did not. It really works well on my dry, mature skin! xoxo
Cle de Peau is one of my favorite foundations. Like you I love the Radiant Fluid Foundation and would love to see a side-by-side. I also like the Radiant Cream Foundation when I want a little more coverage. Have you tried this one in the past? I would think it may be comparable to this new foundation formula but not as "matte". I definitely will be picking up this new formula though!
When I saw that it was matte, I thought it’s not for me. It looks so beautiful on you. I think I might need to get it now. Radiant and matte? I didn’t think it was possible but looking at it on your face, it really is! It’s causing me a little stress, how to get the correct shade for me. Because of the price, I want to get it right! You look so pretty Abby! 😘
It's so good! AND yep, I was going to PASS on this one but I am so glad I did not. I am loving this one and it is a unique combo- radiant and matte- and yes, the stress of getting the right color is real!! I get it -- I wish I could help a bit more.... xoxo
It's so good! I freaking love it!! AND I even think the match is pretty good but again- wish I could go sample. LOL!! Because, ya know... I have to overthink everything! BUT this one feels like it is actually good for my skin. I am loving it!!!
That foundation look so good! It’s not here yet but will definitely get when available in a few years🥴. Very nice. I did purchase the Suqqu cream foundation, the colours are a bit hard, I find, to get right. I ended up with one that is way TOO light. It’s very nice, bit more coverage but controllable. Thanks Abby, good to hear that nasty smoke situation is hopefully gone for good. Stay safe, take care. Elaine xx I have same issues with good fitting masks.....finally found great ‘kid’ ones on amazon. Think Morningstar or something like that. They have all colours not just kiddo type. They also have disposable filters. 👍
Thank you Elaine!! I think you will love this one - once you get it!! AND I had trouble finding the right shade in Suqqu as well! AND I have never been so grateful for fresh air and will never take it for granted either. It has been raining all day and I am LOVING it!!! xoxo
'I friggin love it.' 😂❤ I am so glad to see your review and this looks BEAUTIFUL on you! Skin like! I am friggin loving the Chanel Les Beiges revamped foundation!!😂😂😂 Our adult grammar rocks! And the color looked great on you! Lisa ❤❤❤
LOL! Lisa - I am obsessed with this one and the Chanel Les Beiges! I am going to do an updated Foundation Roundup video but wowser--- two winners!! I just got your message and I am so freaking proud of you! You are my little rockstar detoxer!! YAS!!!! xoxo
I waited to see your review for my dry & very mature skin! I was almost hoping you hated it so I could save $130 on a foundation that I don’t need during a pandemic, but what the heck!! Thanks for the review - it looks gorgeous on you!!!
So Abby will you do a top foundation and why please? I’m really hesitant to by a matte but it does look gorgeous on you! I’d like to know which one you recommend the radiant or this one plus how does it compare with the new channel. Love you and your videos 💕💕
You look gorgeous! The general consensus is that this foundation is a winner. I just wonder why it's called matte? I immediately discounted this foundation when it was first released. I would never wear a matte complexion product. If I didn't watch youtube beauty channels, I wouldn't consider it. Since I haven't been using foundation, I will wait to purchase it. But, it's first on my list! Thank you for the thorough review!! Take care, Ginny 😘😘😘
Thank you Ginny!!! I was going to pass on this one because I did not think it was for my skin type- but low and behold- I freaking love this one! It is radiant and matte-- weird but also magical. I am not a huge powder person- so I feel like I don't need it with this one. I hope you are doing well!! xoxo
Hi Abby, that foundation looks beautiful on you. I am trying to decide if I want to order it. Some of my faves are Chanel Perfection Lumiere, YSL All Hours, Guerlain L'Essentiel, Lancome Idole Ultra Wear, Givenchy Couture Teint, Gorgio Armani cream. Do you think the CDP would be better at covering pores? I have large pores and I am always on the hunt for a flawless look in foundation but hate to waste money. Decisions, decisions. Glad things are getting better in Portland. I live in Washington and we have been hit hard with the fires too.
Thank you so much Mary!! I have to tell you - I love the Radiant Fluid as well but this one feels even more luxe on the skin. Creamy, hydrating, nourishing!! I am truly in love with it!!! And it has a smidge more coverage than the Radiant Fluid! xoxo
That looks beautiful on you Abby...and glad you like the Rare beauty brushes. I see a new foundation ranking in your future!! How do you feel this one compares to the TF matt (which also wasn't very "matt")? Glad your air quality has improved!! We have had some gorgeous days recently in Chicago.
Thank you! I am glad you gave me the nudge to get the brushes!! AND yes, a new video with foundations will be coming soon!! AND this was feels a bit more luxe, creamy, and hydrating than the TF matte- but yep, I did not find that one to be matt either.... these new RADIANT MATTE foundations are really interesting -- they give you glow but for people with dry skin-- you don't really need to powder much and they don't feel drying!!! Crazy!! xoxo
Jodi- I feel a bit behind on filming lately but YES- I have an updated Foundation Video that I have promised and yep, this one will be included! LOL!!! xoxo
This seems like a beautiful foundation and it looked gorgeous on you. I have enjoyed using face masks from slip (they make those silk pillowcases too). You might like this masks since they are comfortable and adjustable. I have been contemplating purchasing one of the new nude color limited edition hermes lipstick - not sure though since nothing beats tom fords blush nude for me.....
I have seen those and will have to give them a try!!! AND I did purchase one of the new Hermes lippies that just launched the other day and I love the two other ones I have BUT you are right.... BLUSH NUDE is hard to beat. Did you know that the TF shade in Abigail is supposed to be a dupe!!! - this little one- rstyle.me/+eXgD_7c1RWHXdtRH_3m5TQ I hope this helps! xoxo
So you think it is fine for us with mature dry skin! I have the "The Foundation" and love it and I also have the lipstick in Bamboo (wore it one day last week). The only thing that was holding me back was the name "matte" I usually run from those! I honestly have to say though it looked dewy on your skin the entire day and I was very impressed with the beautiful radiance it was giving your face! I wonder how they do matte and radiant in the same bottle?? Magic!!!! Thank you for sharing this with us and here I go to purchase yet another foundation (Ha)! Love and Hugs!!
Tanya- I was going to PASS on this one because it had the word MATTE in it! BUT I am pleasantly surprised and actually LOVE it!!! It is radiant and hydating and the last thing I would describe it as --- is MATTE. LOL!! Let me know what you think - if you get it. Sending love and hugs! xoxo
Hi Abby! I already tried this foundation but returned. It has radiance but looks really flat on my skin and I feel it makes me look older. I love the Cle De Peau - The foundation, which is more forgiving on aging skin but a beautiful finish. I thought this foundation looked great on you!! I will look forward to seeing your comparisons with your other Cle De Peau foundation. 😊
Bonnie- that is what I was worried about !!! So I almost passed but so far - I am surprised by how much I love this one! BUT I don't actually own THE FOUNDATION. I have tried it but was not wowed... but I am pretty darn sure I got the wrong color-- so that makes a HUGE difference. So yes, I will be doing doing comparisons!! xoxo
Beautiful! I think this shade looks excellent on you. Does it tend to oxidize over the course of the day? I found that the Cle de Peau "The Foundation" oxidizes, so I had to return the B20 for the O10 and add a little WB20.. Really want to see the comparison of the Radiant with the Matte. Yay for clean air quality!
Catherine- I literally will never take CLEAN AIR for granted again! Oh my goodness! So I feel like my Radiant Fluid 010 did oxidize a bit darker but I am finding that this never Matte version is staying pretty consistent and if anything maybe oxidizes lighter.... or maybe it is the mica that just gives your skin a sort of glowy- slightly white tinge..... SO I will compare the Radiant Fluid to the Radiant Matte. I hope this helps. xoxo
@@AbbyBlissWhite Yes! Clean air is nothing to take for granted. We've had a couple of good days and have been able to exercise outdoors! If the B20 oxidizes lighter than it's probably the correct shade for me. Thanks.
No Abby I agree it seems to oxidize lighter, I feel this way because when I apply it, its a perfect matcb...at work its a face i.d clock in and my face looks lighter so I do agree it lightens !!
Hi Abby, Thank you for the wonderful review. I have been wanting to try this one for a while now but as I am unable to swatch them I am finding it difficult deciding which shade to get. I have been using the Sisley phyto teint eclat 1 ivory (old formula) for ages but the new version looks terrible on my skin sadly. Hope you can help me out choosing the perfect shade. I have cool undertones for reverence. Would really appreciate your help! Enjoy your weekend. X Emilie
Hey Abby this looks fabulous on you! 😍 I bought shade B10 after a lot of handwringing about shade matching and think it’s a pretty good color for me. I’ve only worn it a few times but am not sure whether I like it quite as much as the Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte. What do you think?
Thanks for sharing Julie!! I am glad that I was not the only. one handwringing over the shade match and I am loving the creamy hydrating nature of the CdP one a bit more over the TF Traceless but honestly - they are both amazing! I loved the TF in the warm weather and I think the CdP might be better for me in the cooler weather but still both outstanding foundations!! xoxo
Yes yes yes. I love this foundation also. I have 70 year old oily skin and it works perfectly with one pump. On a different subject, do you think P50V would work for me?
Thanks for sharing!! It is so, so, good! As far as the Lotion P50V-- that is the medium version-- so if you are looking for a nice liquid exfoliant and that is not overly strong then I would go with that! My skin cannot tolerate the original Lotion 50. Way to strong!! I am not a skin expert but I can refer you to Bisma - who is my BR guru and she can analyze your skin and give you recommendations- if you want her info- let me know. xoxo
@@AbbyBlissWhite Ok. Thank you. I have used the one with phenol and the P50 without. Both are a little too strong. I will take you advice and try the V!!
OH!!! BTW!!!! Have you tried the Sephora masks? The ones you trade in points for? OMG it fits my face perfectly, hugs every contour perfectly and doesn't move around! I have to wear a mask at work (obviously) and the Sephora mask is, so far, the most comfortable, stays in one spot and doesn't scrape around every time you move or talk, AND DOESN'T MESS UP MY MAKEUP!!!! Aside from the tip of my nose and the tip of my chin I don't have makeup taken off or even moved around ANYWHERE!!! And that's with wearing it straight for an 8 to 10 hour day!!!!!!
I love the finish and yes your skin looks matte and radiant. Does it have subtle scent? It is funny you applied the Chanel Blurry green which I was just thinking about it. I heard that this foundation doesn’t need a concealer. Do you agree?
Yoko- it definitely has a rosy CdP scent. It does dissipate but it definitely has a scent. AND yes, I could have skipped the concealer but since I own the Radiant Correcteur - I just pulled it out. AND yes, I love that whole BLURRY series! That sort of got me back onto Chanel!!! I hope this helps. xoxo
It looked great at end of day......I have been using it since I received it last week and must say, it is amazing.....I was hesitant because I have dry skin but it seems to work, I powder very lightly, if at all.....I picked up O20 and it is a perfect match......I leave the house for work at 7 am and don't return until 6 pm....it lasts the whole day and I don't have to touch up....A comparison of the CdP foundations will be much appreciated.....😘😘
Lourdes- I am super impressed!!! AND I am laughing because I was going back and forth between 020 and B20.... but regardless if I have the right shade down- it is a total WINNER in my book!!! AND yes, I will do a comparison video!! xoxo
Hi Abby: I see Nordstrom online finally got in the new CDP face luminizing powder Lt. Ed. for Holiday 2020. The CDP website is sold out again in this and the Bamboo lipstick you and Michele Wang love sooo much is low in stock there, so I ordered both of them right away from Nordstrom. Can't beat their return policy if anything is less than stellar while on the CDP website, you have to jump thru some hoops for a return. Will you be trying the new primer from CDP? Looks interesting. Cannot wait for Chantecaille HOLIDAY 2020, TOM FORD Winter Soleil and Holiday Dior. I am stopping at two Dior quints......Soft Cashmere and Rouge Trafalgar. They give me what my color selection was lacking plus working with the TF quads I have and Chantecaille Fall 2019 with the wildlife series.....I have many mix/matches to choose from. Have to leave room for the next HOT thing! :) Chat soon!
Peggy- it definitely has a rosy scent and luckily for me it dissipated pretty quickly. I hope you love the Kjaer Weis!! I have got to check that one out too! xoxo
It looks great. I wish it wasn’t scented. I’ll see if I can pick up a sample. My shade would be BF 20 and I didn’t see it online at cle de peau or Nordstrom.
Kristina- I actually love Matte version better and I have mature dry skin. I have not pinpointed exactly why but I find the Matte version to be radiant but not dewy and it has a gorgeous airbrush look. I did not really love the Natural version which surprised me but I did not love it.... I hope this helps somewhat! xoxo
I want to pick up the brushes as well...In my opinion its odd being a synthetic brush they are more expensive than Sonia G, Wayne Goss, Repher, and so on...same price as a rare fox haired brush...Its the name on the brush I guess and thinking of buying them because they are so pretty
Mine surprisingly shipped within 3 days of order, placed it on Friday to be in hand Monday...I was concerned as I also live in Oregon...Only about 40 mins from Miss Abby !! So happy it wasnt delayed as all of my other orders were. Abby it matched me to B10 and feel its a little ashy *( I think I should of went a shade darker...when I go to purchase another I will go a shade darker or maybe with Ochre...It shade matched me to two undertones B and O *( hmm
YAY!! Fellow Oregonians!! AND clearly- I have been matched to O and B and WB! LOL!! AND it took mine 2 weeks to get here. Craziness!! BUT I really love it!! xoxo
Hi Abby. I have an oily T-zone so I am one of the women who like more matte foundations. Soft matte with medium coverage. Is there anything you would recommend? Just curious. I know you tend to go for more radiant foundations but just wondered if you had any soft matte foundation recommendations. Thank you. ❤️
Abby love look but tired of spending money on so many foundation. I love love the la prairie caviar. Every time i wear it i get compliments on my. Skin.
The La Prairie Skin Caviar is my favorite foundation in my collection (it's also the most expensive at $245!!!). It is just so gorgeous. It makes your skin look like its just perfect, beautiful skin with no makeup on it!
Hi Abby: I have tried O20 in this new foundation and now I have B20 like you do. The O20 worked but yet I felt a little jaundice from it. This B20 does not give me that feeling so will stick with this for now. I am confident the B30 would have been a touch to deep thus face not matching neck and line of demarcation effects setting in. The beige in this line is not as pink as I thought it would come out so okay there. I agree with you......I tend to overthink foundation colors too but it is an important part of the makeup routine to get right. Having worked in this industry for many years, I saw too many wrong foundation color choices and it was not pretty. Waiting for your Tom Ford First Frost/lip balm review. Any day now? :) Chat soon!
YAY! We are twinning Donna!!! AND yes, I just ordered my TOM FORD Frost stuff and I am so excited!! My Wayne Goss blushes have yet to show up which is a bit discouraging but all sorts of fun goodies coming our way! I also have some HOS stuff to share with you guys later this week!!! xoxo
@@AbbyBlissWhite Hey Abby: I ordered from Beautylish the new Holiday Tom Ford frosty lip balm.....knew I wanted that right away. Am holding off on the quad for now......just not sure of it yet. Too similar to last years Soleil D'Hiver which I did not use and have passed along to a new Mom. :) Need to see your presentation of it and really want to see Chantecaille Holiday before I commit too much to another collection. I have several other Tom Ford lip sparks and adore them so this new frosty lip balm fits right in with them. I have got to locate the Dior Golden Snow quint....that is my next quest. Wish me luck! :)
Oh yeah......My HOS Whispers of Enlightenment fragrance will be here tomorrow! I have my hubby hooked on the new Gentlemen's fragrance that HOS sent to me as a sample. Guess I know what he will be getting either for his birthday in November or Christmas! Yay! :)
Janice- that is another one of my new favorites!! SO here is what I would say- I was just thinking about the same thing- because I am doing a Foundation Round Up and this one feels more luxe/creamy/nourishing on the skin than the Chanel Les Beiges BUT I love that one too! So this one provides more coverage than the Les Beiges but they both have a very pretty RADIANT not overly GLOWY finish. They both feel light on the skin and I would say this one has more coverage and feels a bit more LUXE-- but the price reflects that. LOL!! xoxo
Abby, looks great on you. I have this foundation and want to love it, but I’m having a terrible time with it settling into every wrinkle and line I own, also in my pores a bit. I’ve tried different primers, no primers, you name it. My skin is normal and the color is so perfect. Any suggestions I can try before I have to return? Thanks
Oh bummer!! So I use the Glo Skin Beauty Solar Shade Spf before all my makeup and I swear it makes a difference. People ask me about primers but this is the only thing I really use.... I wish I had some more ideas since you love the color match!!! Maybe try the SPF.... but if not- you need to return it. xoxo Holy Grail SPF is Glo Skin Beauty Solar Shade SPF 50- bit.ly/3aIs4Ao If you buy from Freezeco Beauty- please use code ABBY20 to get 20% off your purchase.
Woo hoo! How is my little 50 year old friend doing?? Happy Happy B-Day cutie and yep, we may have found a match--- but of course, I have to OVERTHINK it - just like i do everything. Sending you a hug and love!! xoxo
Thanks Abby, very pretty. I’ve been curious because my holy grail for many years was Cle de Peau Silky which was discontinued about 2 years ago. It was a little thicker than Radiant Fluid so I wondered if this was replacing it. I wore B20 in that so I assume it’s my color. I like you tend to purchase neutral or slightly warm shades but sale associates alway match me to rosy colors. I might get a sample even though I promised myself to try to use up my current foundations. I have several that are a couple of years old and I feel so guilty getting rid of them since they’ve been barely touched. I don’t mind when I don’t like them but I feel bad when it’s just that I have too many to get through🙄 XOXO.
Marjorie- I remember you telling me about that foundation and now- I am wondering if this is indeed the replacement because the reason I love it so much is that it feels truly luxe and creamy and super nourishing on the skin -- BUT it is not heavy or greasy feeling either. SO it is kind of amazing and I am surprised I love it so much!!! AND yes, I feel you on that. I have a HUGE drawer of foundation and then usually rotate through about 3 to 5!!! I hope you are doing well and if you get a sample- let me know what you think. xoxo
They finally got a restock in my shade for the concealer so excited to try it** I would agree on the coverage light to Medium *) It actually has good lasting powder and I wear a mask and shield in an hot heated work enviorment, It stays pretty dang good *)
I like this one. I like it because I do not have to powder it. I do not have to wear primer with it. I am 030 in this. I have a light/medium skintone that is neutral both warm and red/pinkness underneath. I also hear the this is expensive thing but honestly no. For me I don’t have to use other products to make it look good, it works with my skincare, and I do not have to use a lot of product.
I like the look of it on you and will purchase. It's a good review, however...it's WAYYYY to long so gets boring. It could have been half this long, but good product and thank you. Looks lovely on you~!!!
Lori- unfortunately- I have learned I can't please everyone and if I keep my reviews short then people have said they wish they included more detail -so I am sorry you found this boring and will continue to find a happy medium in the future. It really is a fantastic foundation. I hope you enjoy it. xoxo
Thank you Terri! I was just thinking the same thing- because I am doing a Foundation Round Up and this one feels more luxe/creamy/nourishing on the skin than the Chanel Les Beiges BUT I love that one too! So this one provides more coverage than the Les Beiges but they both have a very pretty RADIANT not overly GLOWY finish. They both feel light on the skin and I would say this one has more coverage and feels a bit more LUXE-- but the price reflects that. LOL!! xoxo
Oh bummer!! I am so sorry to hear that and I am actually shocked that it is working for me. The good news is that there are plenty of other fantastic foundations out there. xoxo
