That rug...oh my!!! It reminded me of when my husband pulled up our bedroom carpet in our first house together. I thought someone had dumped a bucket of sand. It was so rotted underneath and had collected so much dirty it almost filled a 5 gallon bucket once it was swept up. I told my husband no wonder it felt so dirty no matter how much I swept it. Now we live in another house with carpet all over. I can’t wait till we can remodel and replace the bedroom carpets and everything else with hardwood laminate. I did luck out on this house though, the couple kept it clean and I’ve only had to do minimal cleaning since moving in. The previous house was from an elderly couple who hadn’t had it cleaned in years. It took two hours just to scrub the kitchen hardware. And then I lost track of time stubbing the rest of the kitchen down. And just didn’t even want to think about the rest of the house and how long that took. lol This house is like I’m getting a fresh start to create a good cleaning routine. Which I need since I’m due in 3 weeks with our first kid. lol

The darker colored TV stand would go amazingly well in your loving room! The white would fit just as well, since your couch is a darker color. I'm not good for a vote 😂 I love them both!

When I was in the hotel business, we blended colors. Bright white with dark wood, and everything accented each other so well! You want contrast, but you also want things to somewhat match. The white would probably pop So well in there, just because your whites are more in the accent things that aren't technically "decoration". I'm still torn, but I think I just really want the dark one myself 😂 but that white one... I think it would be the "pop" of white that would do so well!

When I seen the stuff under the couch my only thought was "YESS! We're not alone with the mess under the couch!" I'm always shocked when we move our couch to clean under it. So real. Thank you for that!

You and Bri, and a few others are my fav RU-vidrs. I never miss those videos!!! We pay the grandorables to clean the baseboards. They do a terrific job and it saves my knees!! I dread cleaning carpets. DREAD it. The older I get, the more unsanitary I think carpets are. Area rugs are fine, but I don't want carpet anywhere in my home. Tip for large rugs like yours...we had a trampoline for years and I tossed my area rug on it, upside down so it didn't fade in the sun, and used Dreft baby detergent or Woolite and a hose to clean it twice a year. Early spring, as soon as temps reached high 60s and again in the fall before it got too chilly. Do it first thing in the morning and let it dry all day. If you don't have a trampoline, you can use a swing set, too. Just make sure the top isn't rusty or dirty first. Great job. You accomplished a TON of work!!!

I already voted the white tv stand on Instagram hehe, I think it has more of a soft look and it goes with the white stairs that are on the side 😄 Also I can’t describe how satisfying your carpet cleaning was 😱 Not even the vacuum can clean those things properly, we gotta shake them upside down! I have to do it asap ahah!

I love the look of the white tv stand! I totally understand with the carpet, I used to have a shaggy rug in my bedroom at the same time had budgies in there and the rug just collected all the seed, it felt gross to walk on and because it was black you saw everything! I totally needed that motivation! We have an area rug that’s kinda shaggy and it collects everything! I have a love/hate relationship with it. Personally I like the darker entertainment center. It would be a nice contrast with your walls. However it’s all personal preference because both would look good in your space. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

I love the idea of a “domino chore!” For me, I think it’s also the kitchen. Once the dishes are done, counters clear, and the sink is clean, I want the rest of my house to match that feeling of being clean and tidy. Although, if everything is a mess and I’m totally overwhelmed, making the bed is always a good place to start, because it makes a big visual difference in just 60 seconds or so!

I like the dark TV stand more. It looks rustic. I'm sure whichever one you choose though will look fabulous! 😊

When I was little I looked forward when it was time for Spring cleaning! Thank you for the video ⚘We just bought a big kitchen cart and I was going back and forth with white or dark one. I have a lot of dark wood but chose the white, love it!

Amanda, the white tv stand would look super amazing in your home. I enjoyed seeing the extra in depth cleaning you did to get your home ready for Spring. That rug did hold a ton in it; I was totally amazed and astonished about seeing that... Glad you got that all shook out☺

I would go with the white TV stand. It will make the space seem much more brighter and it will match the chairs you wanted to paint white, as well as your fireplace :)
