New Clear Extraction Upholstery Tool Review #ExtractorNozzle #ExtractorWand
In this video, we review a new extractor head that has the water injection tip inside the clear plastic head vacuum nozzle.
It's designed for upholstery and keeps the water contained so it doesn't overspray and make a mess.

I have converted my shop vac into an extractor using garden hose/sink connector to an air compressor line for water line. Then shop vac line for suction. I was using the mytee head with external spray but it is both messy and hard to find. My question with these internal spray type extractor heads is: without the pump of an extractor, would the water pressure be enough or would the vacuum suck it up before it got to the carpet? Going from a garden hose/sink to a 3/8 inch air hose, through a 1/4 fitting and to a tiny spray nozzle naturally creates pressure but wasn't sure if it'd be enough. Not sure if you'd know. I may just purchase it and find out but thought I'd ask first.

Hi. That’s a good question. I’m actually not sure because I have never used it that way. The pressure from the machine is around 90psi or so and it’s increased by the tip of the nozzle. But honestly, I have know idea. Sorry. Hopefully someone else can answer this question. I’ll pin it.

I've been wondering the same thing about garden hose pressure . Phil do you still recommend this upholstery tool after using it a while? It looked like on some of the more recent extractions you were using a different one.

Do you still mainly use this internal sprayer? I'm thinking of getting one but I'll be using garden hose supply so I'm not sure if it would work good enough.

It depends actually. In some fabric seats I will use this head, but for regular carpets I just use the stock metal head.

Hi Phil, Google "Numatic fishtail complete, it will fit 32mm hose, the only thing you will have to source is the fluid union, male and female, I have been using Numatic vacs and extraction machines for the past thirty years and spares are available in UK, I think the Fishtail complete with trigger assy is around £30.

So for serious hobbiest or car flippers (not professional detailers) what is needed to perform this type if cleaning (extraction? I believe it is referred to as) . I noticed in the demo, you used a Torador type of device- and that is connected to a compressor I assume, yet you mentioned a “pump” of some kind? Yikes, what is a minimum setup one would need to do occasional cleaning of seats, carpets and door panels? Thankful for any advice.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 4 года назад
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! I know!! We have lots of equipment and products for our business. But it’s totally overkill for a weekend warrior or Prosumer detailer. The Bissell heated Pro extractor is a great choice for deep cleaning carpets and cloth seats. And certainly having a small air compressor makes a big difference. Good brushes for nooks and tight spots are also cheap and very useful. If you already have a good wet dry shop vac that’s also a must. A good steamer is the McCulloch brand. Affordable and they work well. The tornador tool is OK but I actually don’t use it as much as other guys. You c cc’d an totally get away with a lot less but those a few essentials.

Great video as always. I recently bought a mytee lite 8070 extractor. Do you know how many wats a generator needs to be able to run this machine? I have a 1300 watt generator but I'm not sure of that's enough to run the Machine.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 2 года назад
Thanks. It takes a lot of power. Not sure exactly how many watts but we use a 3700 running watt generator and it’s fine.
@rene5313
@rene5313 Год назад
Mario Mejia Be sure that your outlet plugs on your generator are 20 amps or more. if not you will constantly trip the breaker on your generator. I'm using a 9000 watt generator to run my mytee 8070 lite. I believe the 8070 machine is at 19 amps thats why im using a 9000 watt start watts with 7350 running watts. It's been running like a champ. All those things are important to look at I've had to learn the hard way. I've been detailing for 11 years now and when your at a job and shampooing seats it's tough to get done with the breaker tripping. Its better to use a regular plug in a home or building but if your mobile it's best to get a bigger generator. I may be wrong but the generator you have may work for awhile with it running but eventually it will ware down fast because of overload. But hey try it!
