My wife and I took a drive up to Tray Moutain Gap right outside of Helen, GA. This was a great trail for anyone who is new to offroading. It is about 7 miles to Tray Gap. The first 5 miles are pretty well maintained gravel and the last 2 are where the fun is. Hope you guys enjoy the video!

Love the Content so far! ill be overlanding in NC and North GA this week. Going to hit Brown Mountain OHV area, hurricane creek. and some more difficult trails in north GA.

I love Tray Mountain! I usually hit it from Indian Grave Gap - fun water crossing at the start (usually only about 6"-8" deep... but still fun). The climb is steep, but easy, and quite a few areas to pull off to relax and enjoy. I ran Winding Stair Gap this past weekend, which is always fun. Other places you might like to visit (I'm in northern metro Atlanta): Dawson Forest (enter from GA 53 for an excellent - and deep - river crossing). Wolf Creek Rd (near Blairsville... be sure to stop at Sunrise Grocery for some boiled peanuts and snacks and tell Jason I said 'hi!') Wildcat Campground (near Big Canoe... it's a short in-and-out, but still nice) US Forest Svc Rd. to Long Creek Falls (easy drive, nice hike in/around creeks) Those are some great places to go as you get more comfortable with your offroad/softroad adventures.

@@GeorgiaZR2 Oh, then don't take her in Dawson Forest yet. Before I bought the ZR2, I used to take my Outback through there... and it was halfway up the grill. 🙂 My wife used to be scared of the crossings, too... now she loves them and wants to take pics. Your wife will come around - as you get more experience offroad, she'll get comfortable with it.

@@CurtGodwin thanks for the advice... I am taking it slow with her but she had a great time on this trip. The only times she was nervous is when she was on the "cliff edge" side as she calls it!

@@GeorgiaZR2 Ha! Yep - I know what you mean. My wife doesn't like those shelf roads, either... especially when oncoming traffic appears. At least the foliage obscures some of the biggest drops... from view. They're still there, but she can't see them. ;-)

Thusxweek i sm getting mt new black rhino matte bronze wheels and nitto recon grappler A/T size 34 ( 285/75R17) tires put on my 2024 harvest bronze metallic colored zr2.

I live on the Outer Banks of NC. We're on the beach all the time. Always hear folks say, "It's sand...how difficult is THAT?". I know some guys that make a good living pulling those folks when they get stuck. 😂😅😂😅

One thing I can say about washing my truck I never use any brushes. They’re not good on the paint even if they’re soft!

That's a good point. I always used a brush for my old F150 whch wasn't a very "clean" truck so I never thought about scratches. I just need to stop being lazy and climb into the bed to reach the roof without a brush!
