Is this FL specific? We only put down 3% for our new build. It wasn’t manufactured at all. No drywall, foundation or anything. Seller credits allowed us to add a few things to the plan we picked that wasn’t normally included so it was finished w/ things exactly how we wanted it.
This is Florida specific and also in regards to 90% of pre-construction here. There are a few small builders that have exceptions to that rule. If it’s new construction, but already built, you could put down as low as 3 1/2%. Same here in Florida with picking different finishes and upgraded options inside the house.
