Thank you for not promoting something you wouldn't really purchase yourself. We are a single income family of 6 soon to be 7 and cannot afford expensive cookware. I love following you because of your authenticity and relatability.
Don't let anyone try to make you feel guilty for living up to your principles. You and your family are what we need more of here in the U.S. and I believe you have an influence on people...God is using you. You reach sooo many people and have no idea how much you help us deal with our own lives. Thank you.
Girrllll you ain't got no time to demonize anybody or anything!!! Your channel has grown organically because many folks can relate to you and the content. You are as authentic as they come! Some channels lack authenticity, it has become business driven. You ain't that! Thank you for sharing your piece of the world with us✌🏼💚👩🌾🏡
Girl thank you for being so genuine. Thanks for always thinking of your subscribers. You're sticking to what God called you to do and you're not allowing no amount of money to change you. You are the BEST! My family and I love you and your family. 🥰💛
Sometime we have to splurge in something that is a investment for longer use. I do recommend you NEVER EVER put your new pots & lids in your dishwasher. Even if it’s says it’s ok. They will dull the finish & corrode the interior…essentially “dry up”! The silicone will break down & that pretty color will turn chalky. Take your time and hand wash. You did a great job in your entire selection. So pretty 👍👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I understand what you’re saying you’re not gonna promote something you can’t afford to buy and then put it in our Heads that we need it to and we can’t afford it could may make us feel bad so thank you for watching out for our feelings you’re truly one of the good ones
I love your videos so much! We could really use some prayers right now. I had a miscarriage in January and just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant with TWINS! ❤️ I'm excited but also so nervous. Watching your girls makes me excited for our future with 2 little twins 😍
Congratulations! I'm a twin and my only brother has twin daughters. Being a twin is absolutely the greatest! Prayers for you, your husband and your precious little babies.
Just a tip, if the pots and pans have wooden handles, and you want them to last, you can't put them in the dishwasher. Also, your baking sheets will last longer if you hand wash them. Last tip, if you are going to nest the pots when you store them, I would put a couple of paper towels between each one to avoid scratches.
But what most do not understand is if these pots and pans are of excellent quality they will pay for themselves in a lifetime. Look back at how many times we spend 70-100 dollars on a “cheaper” set of cook-wear. Some things just make sense. ❤ I look at the year in review when I’m paying a bill as well. Some think “Oh, it’s only 4.99 a month” but in a year’s time that is 60 dollars. Trust I am ALL for saving that dollar. I just think of things in a longer time frame of usage, reliability and durability. So yes sponsoring them would be an excellent idea BUT ONLY IF the product covers itself in price of longevity. 💖
@@Truelyblue333 Yes u are right but just spending that much isn't easy for people on a budget... But I do see what your saying hopefully the one she just bought will work just as well!!😉
@@Truelyblue333 agreed! I have the same Correlle dishes my grandma gifted me over 20 years ago, nothing is broken except a few glasses and they are used every day! I also have had pampered chef pots and pans for over 20 years, and have only had to replace one pan of the set. Cost per use on my kitchen items is so low and 100% worth the investment if you can afford it. I would have spent hundreds more by now if I had gone the cheapest route. 100% I realize this isn't everyone's situation, but you do get what you pay for.
Shane is the best husband. Most, not all, but most would never spend that long shopping. He seems to enjoy it as much as you do. I love how close your family is. How did Nanny like her truck? It was so cute. I can just see her sweet, and appreciative face when you gave it to her.
Just a tip for your baking/pizza sheets: use Parchment paper. It will save your pans, and also keep food from burning on the bottom. You can buy name brand at Walmart, etc, or you can also find it at dollar tree. Its fairly inexpensive. The glass casserole pans you got are great for baking and clean up well. Enjoyed seeing the drive through Knoxville!
Thank you sister for geekin out over the trees!! I live in Florida and we don't get any season changes and I just adore the different colors. It amazes me and makes me feel so loved to see how much our Father loves us to give us such beauty to look at. Thank you for takin us on y'all's adventure.
I live in a major city so watching you get excited about the buildings and surroundings in Knoxville was honestly just so refreshing. I just don't slow down and think about all the good/cool things here because I'm so used to it.
Same for me. I live in Houston, TX. It is refreshing to see someone get excited over things I take for granted..except for the trees turning colors. They don't do that much here in TX.
I got a big set of stainless steel Kitchen Craft years ago. Cost $4500.00 and worth every penny. They will still look and cook like new when my grandkids are using them!
Love getting to come along on your shopping trips. 13 hours?! No wonder you all are wiped. Team working the cleaning is the way to go! Love all the new kitchen goodies .
My advice would be to purchase stainless steel cookware. It doesn’t peel like nonstick. It’s healthier and it has a longer life. Barkeepers Friend works a charm on burnt on stuff and will keep your pots looking brand new. As long as the pots don’t have any plastic handles you can pop them also in the oven. The trick to using stainless steel cookware is not to turn the heat up to high while cooking.
I feel like the partnership with companies is sometimes a good thing, it gives utubers viewers the chance to get something they wouldn’t be able to afford or get without the discount they give viewers, please understand that I totally appreciate you doing you, and what’s right for you❤!!!! I love you all and wish you all a blessed week!!!
Not sure if you have ever watched the Minimal mom on RU-vid but when she has talked about being more minimal in your kitchen, I can tell you it has helped me. I have only so many pieces of dishes. It does help cut down on your dishes because if they are not washed then you have nothing to eat on but man it sure makes a difference and you can clean up quicker for sure. So your doing a great job merina.
That’s the saddest part in Knoxville the first time I went that way I cried seeing all the homeless under the bridge but it let’s us know how blessed we are and how thankful we should be
You are doing such a great job being so conscientious and keeping only what you use, and it will help keep things more under control bc you will manage much less inventory, yet what you have will be higher quality. I can say that having less inventory, but better quality, will be longer lasting, and overall has helped those ADHD family members manage our home so much better.
I got my last cookware set at Ollie's. Way to expensive in Target. Your kiddos are so well behaved out in public. I'm so impressed with them. And they cute as can be. Cool video. Have a fun weekend. ❤
@@fearfullycreated The Calphalon and Caraway lines don't fit the affordability profile that Target supposedly offers. Im up in Canada so I can't really recommend stores to you. I really would have thought Big Lots might have had the cookware prices you would be more interested in. Heather xo
Hi Merina, I’m just tuning in, only 5 min in, but I wanted to pause just to tell you that you are such a genuine, beautiful human being, you and Shane both. I adore your whole family. Your intro literally inspired me to stop watching for a minute to make sure you know what a difference you guys are making with your innocent and sincere words. 😘 Watching from Michigan…Kim
Loved going with you shopping and to Knoxville. It was beautiful. I was wondering if I could have you all keep me in your prayers. I lost eyesight in my left eye about 2 years ago , and now I’m starting to have the same issues in my right eye. Your channel was the only place I felt safe to ask for these prayers. Love the cookware ! Thank you all ❤️
You get what you pay for where cookware is concerned. I bit the bullet and bought the ninja never stick because the cheaper cookware coating comes off in your food.
Good cookware is worth it. I have acquired mine by purchasing one piece at a time, over the span of 15 years. Aim for items that can be used on stovetop and in the oven. If you don’t have a ceramic cooktop, I recommend cast iron and enameled cast iron. They become heirlooms. I also have a few stainless steel pieces with copper bottoms, that are 20 plus years old. Copper keeps your pan evenly heated, less likely to scorch. Stay away from nonstick coated pans. They eventually get too hot or scratched and require replacing.
I love watching your joy and your smile over your cookware set!! They are beautiful!! There are people out there that have no idea, what it means to have to save money for something they want. Some people will buy whatever they want, not even looking at price tags, and these people don't appreciate what they have!! Watching your joy over finally getting something that you have wanted and needed, has definitely put a smile on my face!! 😊 I am excited to see future videos of you cooking with your new cookware!! 🍳
I have worked with homeless services and branches of that for years, and what you told your kiddos on Magnolia street (which Im guessing is like what I’ve worked with) brought tears to my eyes. “You can’t judge because you never know, but use caution” is so so true. Wow, just thank you. I think that’s how I can remind my children too. ❤❤❤
I absolutely agree Merina I love that u don’t do sponsors that are expensive cause honestly we gotta keep it affordable! I mean I’m a medium range kind of girl I don’t always do super cheap I go for the middle range and I love that you don’t go out your lane and show us things that maybe only 5% of us can afford.
Had to add, those cutting mats are awesome, I don't have a food processor and cut up my onions, peppers and veggies by hand, so easy with the mats, you can pick it up and dump them right in the skillet or pot, you will used them a lot.
Very proud of the boys for keeping their room looking so nice. You and Shane are so blessed with your family. It's wonderful the way your whole family works together. Love your family so much.
*Drinking game* - take a shot of iced coffee every time Merina says ‘cute’ in Target 🤣 Very nice kitchen stuff! Nice that you’re looking into how to care for it 👏🏼 Xxo
I am so happy on your new cookware ,and I use those mats I love them. You are so deserving of your kitchen ware. You are a blessing and truly love you and your precious blessings. Jesus loves you so much .
Miss ma'am, thank you for taking us window shopping with y'all! I always know I'll leave your video with smiles and laughs! 💖 rolling thru Knoxville singing New York, I know my belly would hurt from laughing if I was able to spend time with you!!!
Thank You! Do you! I see mainly your channel is helping others on a dime. Alot of us can not afford $400-$500 cookware. That's what I love about you and your family. You do not live above your means. That is 99% of us!❤ You brought me so much joy watching you in downtown Nashville!😂 I am the exact same way leaving my little town going into the big cities in NC. I am amazed at alot of scenery & it makes me thankful in the end that I live in a small rural town❤ The pink weed sign!😂😂😂 I love yall
The only RU-vidr I have followed consistently for 12 years also does not do sponsored videos. She has stayed true to herself her entire channel. While everyone else became carbon copies of each other with a beige personality, she didn’t. I actually think doing it the way you and her are helps keep the integrity and staying genuine. Which is why I also like your channel. This girl is at a million now and still humble. Please keep doing what you’re doing.
I loved this video, it was a little bit of everything!!!! Thank you for not promoting something you wouldn't buy yourself. I love watching you because you're "real." You stay true to yourself. I love ya big, Merina!!! I hope you have an awesome weekend and a great week ahead!!
Thank you for the nice video, Marina! It was great to see you & the family! Nice to tag along with you… I’m so glad you got your new cookware and accessories! Enjoy! :) I love you, Marina!❤️
You should sponsor that Caraway pots and you can be very honest about it if you don't like it tell people you don't like it but if you like it you'll get free pots and you can help other people who are willing to pay that amount of money for the pots
My husband and I when we lived in PA we would take drives on the Weekends. We would hit a lot of cute little towns. We enoyed driving and looking at the trees, creeks and scenery.
I'm new here,I watched about 20 videos from your makeovers and I adore your family and your personality.. I currently live in Florida and we're looking into moving to Tennessee next year, glad I found your channel.. you're a really fun channel, so light hearted and good.. and I think you're doing things right...
@@fearfullycreated my daddy lives there and as child I lived there for 3 years. I'm ready for seasons, it is too hot for me here, I'm so excited to make the move..
First of all forget the sponsors your kids are so well behaved. Do you give them tranquilizers 😂. Even with gadgets my nieces & nephews only be quiet when they are GONE 😂. I love it. You have a beautiful family ❤.
You passed up the $5 glass & bottle brush trees that light up in the Dollar Spot! They also had the wooden ornament paint sets your kids would’ve had fun with. For shame..🤣😂🤣
I decided a few years ago to strictly use cast iron. I saved a few big pots to boil pasta otherwise everything is iron. The Lodge store in pigeon forge has “seconds” racks and you can get so many different pans for very cheap. Our last trip I got a wok lol. They have pretty much everything you need and they last forever ❤
I thought u had a scarecrow on the side window in the car. I thought oh man she went all out in decor. Until I realize it a doll one of the kids holding. Haha. Gave me a good laugh.
I’ve thought the same way as you when watching someone who’s sponsored, there have been some where even if their sponsored and you get a 30% discount. I’m just speaking for my family, we still couldn’t afford that item. Thank you for being so honest, they feel demonized because they may not be Idoing it for the correct reasons! It really isn’t because of you!
Hey my dearest friend Merina! I needed a good dose of you tonight! You always make me so happy! Love and hugs from your friend Kim in Quincy Massachusetts! ❤️🥰😘🎃🍁🍂
@@fearfullycreated I am now! I lost my dearest Auntie Lynn on Thursday she's now with her dear Lord and savior, her mother, mother-in-law and my cousin her daughter. I will miss her dearly, but I know now she is no longest suffering with dementia and pain. Thank you for asking. Can't wait to see the rest of your video! Love you more, Kim 😘🥰❤️
many people don't know that most vacuums have different Settings for different floor types and it seems while pushing yours that it doesn't glide well over long carpet. i suggest changing your settings to help you struggle less and for better suction/cleaning.
You 1,000% made my night tonight!! I screamed so loud when you mentioned the gingerbread trees. I hope you find them near you. My Dollar General has a whole aisle of Christmas already!
Please pray for my great nephew. He's in the hospital & will probably be there a while. He's 7 years old, autistic, non-verbal and is having some neurological & nutritional problems. I believe in the power of prayer and will welcome all the prayers we can get.
I bought when my first child way 2 years old. I paid over 2,000.00 for waterless stainless steel. I told the salesman that I better be cooking with this set when I had grandkids. My daughter is now 47 and I have 11 grandkids with the oldest in his 20’s. I still am using that set of pots and pans. They look brand new.
That's why we love you Marina ! I just love the way you think , and how you are a REAL, HONEST person ❣️ nothing wrong with not wanting to work with sponsors. It just makes you more real! In my opinion 🥰
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your RU-vid channel. I too am a homeschooling mom but we are a military family. We lived in TN years back and we loved in. It's such a beautiful state. We are currently in North Carolina. Anyway I'm rambling just want to say thank you for what you and Shane do. You all make me laugh so much and sometimes my 15 yo will watch with me.
