The JW house of cards falls when you look at their teaching on the New Covenant. They have TWO covenants unsupported by scripture. This is compared to Christian teaching on the New Covenant.

I told her Truth is Not harmed by inquiry or doubt, Truth is confirmed by those things. I left 6 years ago from being a pioneer, and Circuit Overseer in the family and many Coordinating overseers, Bethelites, ect... Yet I am so happy and full of peace and they are starting to see it. I studied with JWs for several years and 3 times (because I was so eager to find a Christian congregation, living outside of the US in a remote location) when I was about to join, I was stopped, I believe by the Holy Spirit, because they would preach on the "faithful and discrete slave" or assert something like "new books opened," etc. I found too many excerpted scriptures and out of context usages and I just could not tow the party line in unity. I have since found Seventh Day Adventists and have yet to have a strong difference with them. In actuality, they took me back to my childhood faith that, when learning the 10 Commandments, I asked my Baptist Sunday School teacher, "So why are we here on Sundays?"

Glad to hear you are out of the WT. But the SDA has its issues also. Nowhere in the NT are we commanded to keep the Sabbath. Paul makes it clear that no one should judge another as to which day is better. (Romans 14:5) The Sabbath is not a salvation requirement in the NT, however, the Bible tells us to not forsake the gathering of ourselves together. It became customary in the early church to meet on the first day of the week, which became known as the Lord's Day. Either day, doesn't make a difference, but saying there is still a requirement to keep the Sabbath, is just as guilty as the JW telling you that you have to join THEIR religion. Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant, and established a New Covenant. Nowhere in that New Covenant is the commandment to keep the Sabbath, and the SDA is wrong in saying people are worshipping the devil on Sundays. That is absurd. I would encourage you to dig a little deeper into the SDA; they aren't as straight forward as you think.

Wow I’ve been searching all day for a video like this and I finally found it! I praise God for your work well done in this presentation! I’ve been friends with a JW for my entire life (for most of it I was an agnostic) but after I came to faith 4 years ago I realized that her organization is a fraud. Just a couple days ago she invited me to watch the memorial service, and that was the first time I had ever heard about their strange covenant theology. Today I had a talk with her on FaceTime about it and left with so many more questions. This video has really helped me and I will refer back to it more as I continue to talk with my friend.

This explains it so well. JW teachings are so twisted up, jumping all over the place to formulate their doctrine. I grew up thinking I was stupid for not understanding their teachings and that I obviously needed to work on my personal study and spirituality. Great teaching in my last few dialogs with JW’a I have focused on salvation and the facts that they aren’t part of the covenant which is for the propitiation of sins. In both occasions they simply left the debate with no rebuttal. This is a very good way to make them think about the meaning of the Memorial.

To be exact Lee, it’s easier to call one a New Agreement (which replaced the Old Agreement, or covenant) and the other is a promise, which Jesus gave to his 11 disciples after he had already inaugurated the New Agreement as you said one was connected to the meal or specifically the bread and wine, the heavenly kingdom promise was not connected to the bread and wine. Therefore EVERY Christian who agrees with the “law of love” (covenant) would show their support by remembering Jesus and partaking of the emblems, as for the “promise” that was made after they ate the meal and passed the emblems, that is between Jesus and “those who stuck with him in his trials” They then were given the promise to sit on thrones at his table, the rest of us have everlasting life on the earth.

Another point, I now do not believe that the 144K is literal and regarding Eden, you say that they weren’t needed to rule over Adam there so why now, well for one thing, the Edenic cherub was assigned to watch over Adam and he also hadn’t sinned at that point so clearly there was no need for any “group” to rule over him and Eve…and secondly you mention in respect of the verse that says “before the founding of the world” that God looked into the future (which we know he can do if he chooses too) and knew what was going to occur, don’t you think that if God had seen in advance of making the earth what Satan was going to do and all the bloodshed, misery and destruction it would cause, that he would still have created it? What sort of God would that make him? If you had the ability to foresee that your family would all perish in a fire in a house that you built, would you still build it? I notice that you believe Jesus is God, sorry but I personally do not believe in a trinity, the scriptures are abundantly clear on this and the trinity is a Babylonian idea, Jesus in NO way is downgraded by Not Being Almighty God because he is a Mighty God in his own right. I’m not sure if you have ever been a JW as you seem to know quite a bit about them or whether you have only been a member of some other Christian denomination as you mention communion, I was a member for 25 years baptised at 39, prior to that when I was younger I was Church of England and what I can say for WT is that they showed me how to study and research which has been invaluable in undoing the false teachings of false religion, however it has also proven a very useful tool in undoing the false things they taught me, I have now realised that EVERY religion on the planet has its own agenda regardless of who the leaders are. They all twist scripture and have false doctrines so that all their members have their “ears tickled” and keep bringing in their donations to pay their clergy and Satan remains satisfied that he is still able to mislead the masses. We believe that all Christians are exactly the same in terms of salvation and hope which the bible confirms at Galatians 3:28 and Eph 4:4. Therefore your comments about people going to heaven or earth will apply......just not in the way you have been taught by Watchtower. Incidentally, about the idea that the GENTILE TIMES are Jesus "waiting" for his enemies to be put under his feet...... 1 Cor 15:25-28 disproves you. Basically, it says that he reigns until his enemies are put under his feet and in this context it clearly means the full and complete triumph over all enemies at the VERY END. This does not mean until 1914. That passage proves this point.

I'd suggest you read around the four differing interpretations.... the futurist, historicist, preterist, and idealist approaches. It is unlikely that you will, because if you are a Jehovah's Witness you will read only their material. Here is one view by a professor of theology. Basically every verse which supports Jesus deity has to be changed by the NWT bible and they change them without any basis, frequently. All the things you said about "gentile times" had ZERO bible verses. You would need to tell me and PROVE why you think that the phrase "gentile times" in Matthew has any relevance other than 70CE. Whilst Jesus did include future prophesy in that passage, there are parts of it which OBVIOUSLY refer to 70CE and that it one of them, because it literally says the trampling of JERUSALEM. If they rely on the new covenant then they should stop validating their policies with the Hebrew Scriptures. Their Bible doesn’t align with anything but their doctrine.

Hi - it’s a verb which is the act of “conferring upon” them a kingdom. Making a covenant is basically a promise. The video does explain the difference between this word and the word properly rendered “covenant”. One way to make this easier is to ask “how many new covenants are there?” “How many covenants were prophesied?” -- there is one New Covenant for forgiveness and for the changed heart of every person putting faith in Jesus Christ. Not even one verse says the covenant is “going to heaven” and the kingdom of God is established with citizens (Christians) on earth right now.

@Mr D C1 You are misunderstanding this. Please read the following: The first word Diatheke means Covenant. The second word Diatithemi is a verb (not a noun) and means "make, appoint, confer". Therefore, in Hebews 10:16 it says "the covenant (diatheke) I will make (diatithemi) with them" Can you see that the second word refers to making or appointing and is a verb? So yes, in Strongs it says that it can mean making a covenant. But it means the ACT OF MAKING and not the covenant itself. See strongs. Strong's Greek: 1242. διαθήκη (diatheke) -- testament, will, covenant (biblehub.com) This is a noun describing the covenant itself. Appointed - verse 29 interlinear Strong's Greek: 1303. διατίθεμαι (diatithemi) -- to place separately, i.e. dispose of by a will (biblehub.com) So thayers is correct also, that the word diatithemi can refer to the ACT OF MAKING (or appointing or conferring) a covenant. This is why most bibles translate it correctly as "appoint" or "confer" in verse 29.
I did not say we should follow "main Christianity". I said we should FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST. Put faith in HIM. come to HIM. Not a denomination, not a group of men. We do meet together to worship, but we are focused on Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. See Phil 2:9-11. As for the wars, many groups objected and were persecuted. Look at the Quakers, Amish, etc. if you google "conscientious objector religions" you will find many. Ask yourself........ am I ignoring OBVIOUS FALSE TEACHINGS just because I think they don't go to war?

You think Christians filled with the Holy Spirit did these things? Do you put anything into historical context? The JW religion has existed for 140 years or so ….. so are you judging upon that historical setting? Or are you comparing people in the 12th century who were not even Christian with JW in the 20th century? Is that a fair comparison?

Read about it, for you will not be there to enjoy it. Psa. 37:9-11,29. Or do you believe Jehovah God to be a liar as well? You neither have love nor respect for the one you know nothing about. His wrath will come upon all those taking up his name in a worthless way, he will leave none unpunished. Ex. 20:7. For it is him that you detest and hate. Who are we that you should mock and ridicule, we too are only the clay of the ground. However, Jesus gave us all a command to go and preach about the good news of the Kingdom. Imperfect vessels of clay to carry the news among nations, the sheep, the meek, the lost, the destitute, seeking the true God, the Father of the Christ. And we have said: ''here I am, send me!'' Isa.6:8 NWT. Yes! I will teach them about Jehovah and they will be blessed with ever- lasting life on earth. Do you think Jesus is happy that you are treating his God and Father with contemned and hatred against his chosen people, his witnesses, that are only doing his command to preach the truth about him and his God. " Go! and make disciples, {witnesses}, of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy spirit. ''TEACHING THEM,'' to observe all the things I have commandments you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system(s) of things.'' Mt. 28:19,20 NWT Come! It can be argued that an appointment or covenant are both agreements entered into by a select number. The covernant for the kingdom was new as was the new covernant because though both were foretold prophetically they could not begin until the messiah arrived. The forgiveness of sins is part of the new covernant, but this forgiveness of sins extends to the whole world not just those who are in the new covernant, 1John 2:2. Those in the new covenant and the covernant for the kingdom however have special roles to play in the way this works out because they as the 144,000 become priest kings who rule over the rest of mankind here on earth. As priests under high priest Jesus they assist in providing the bennefits of Christ's ransom sacrifice to the new earth soon to come. As we know not all Israelites under the old covernant were priests only the Levites were. Therefore all those who receive the benefits of Christ's ransom do not need to be of the priestly class, the 144,000, or in other words the bride of Christ or the new Jerusalem which descends to earth with all the healing properties of its rule, Revelation 21:9,10; 22:1,2.
ALL of Israel including the foreigner who joined Israel were in the covenant relationship with God. ALL OF THEM. Moreover, there was a SENSE in which ALL Israel were priests. God calls the whole of Israel priests here Exodus 19: 5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, 6 you[a] will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” Now this fits with Christianity. Whilst God does give some the position of leadership, we have a situation where ALL Christians serve as priests and are a holy nation in the earth. This is because they represent God and are witnesses of Jesus Christ. Acts 1:8. They also **intercede** for unbelievers. Example: Rom 10:1-4. JESUS fulfills the role of HIGH PRIEST and we are members of his body. 1 Cor 12. I notice that your comments are lacking scriptural backing. The idea of two different "new" covenants is not scriptural. There is ONE NEW COVENANT and that is made clear throughout the Greek scriptures. Please tell me about your two covenants --- What is the PROMISE of each? The SYMBOL of each and the PARTIES to each? Thank you .

The blood of Jesus was for the whole world not just those in the new covernant, while the covernant for the kingdom was introduced by Jesus to identify clearly their future roles in heaven, Daniel 7: 27 as the foretold holy ones of the supreme one, of which the whole earth must obey. This is also the Israel of God that becomes a kingdom of priests, but they had to become born again part of a new creation, Galatians 6:15,16 not dependant on genealogy or circumcision. These then became spiritual Israelites chosen not because of fleshly decent but because of faith in Christ: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for YOU are all one [person] in union with Christ Jesus. 29 Moreover, if YOU belong to Christ, YOU are really Abraham’s seed, heirs with reference to a promise." These are: "... a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession... 1Peter 2: 9, This is the Christian Congregation and the 144 ,000, based on the original 12 apostles who rule with Christ from heaven. This came to later include born again Gentile believers as if they were grafted onto the rootstock of natural Israel, Romans 11: 13. As such these are the little flock Jesus gave his first consideration to, Luke 12:32 , while now in these later days the other sheep, John 10:16, come more into the picture because they will be the earthly survivors of Armageddon which make up the new earth. See Revelation 7:13-17. I don't know how you can come up with a better explanation because you can see it all coming together now, just as it was foretold.
@@moseslivingstone1258 A better explanation is that in John 10 when Jesus said he would "bring" other sheep, he was referring to the Gentiles. This is supported by the New Testament which outlines this clearly. Acts 10 full chapter, Ephesians 2 full chapter. etc. Little flock - Jews Luke 12:32, Matt 15:24, Other Sheep - non Jews (gentiles) Acts 10, Eph 2, etc. All Christians are spiritual israel, read Galatians 3 full chapter. All Christians have ONE HOPE Eph 4:4, All christians are born again 1 john 5:1, Rom 8:9. Rom 6 full chapter. If you don't believe in two new covenants then you don't agree with JW leadership who have clearly printed that there are TWO and both of these covenants do not include the so called "great crowd". It's simply false teaching.
@@WitnessForJesus Adam was designed to live here on the earth. God's purpose hasn't changed for mankind and the earth even though Jesus introduced the totally new concept to his Jewish followers that of following him to heaven as his symbolic bride class. We know at weddings there are guests and friends of the groom who all celebrate together and its the same with the little flock and the other sheep. Even John the Baptist was not included in the new covernant, or the covernant for the kingdom, because he died before it was incorporated. John the Baptist refered to himself as a friend of the groom while not being part of the bride himself: " He that has the bride is the bridegroom. However, the friend of the bridegroom, when he stands and hears him, has a great deal of joy on account of the voice of the bridegroom. Therefore this joy of mine has been made full,"John 3:29. Jesus explained further: "Truly I say to YOU people, Among those born of women there has not been raised up a greater than John the Baptist; but a person that is a lesser one in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he is," Matthew 11:11. As we know John was executed before Jesus inaugurated the new covernant and the covernant for the kingdom. Therefore his reward is going to be with the other sheep who live here on the earth in paradise rather than in heaven from where God's kingdoms rule descends upon the earth. The other sheep can't just be Gentiles that later became Christians because these Gentiles were also incorporated as part of the little flock who were to receive the kingdom: "Have no fear, little flock, because YOUR Father has approved of giving YOU the kingdom," Luke 12:32. The other sheep first made their appearance in the Lord's day a period that has begun in our time these later days since Jesus's enthronment in heaven as the heir of the Davidic kingdom. Jesus is preparing to separate the sheep from the goats so make sure you are supporting his kingdom and keep doing good to his brothers: "And in reply the king will say to them, ‘Truly I say to YOU, To the extent that YOU did it to one of the least of these my brothers, YOU did it to me," Matthew 25:40.
@@WitnessForJesus it could be most any word. Foreign short e is converted to long a with a glide added to that. Any word that ends in a has an r tacked on (Americer, Afriker etc.), foreign i is pronounced as the English Y in “try.” I could go on and on. My German professor once said that Brits have the worst pronunciation of German words. It’s as if Brits try to Anglicize everything, such that foreign place and personal names become unrecognizable.
