Funny thing is valve didnt even put the updated version of the map with fixes. The ones they put out are broken and you can literally go out of bounds.

@anthonyreuben i was running csgo in 200ish fps with nvidia, discord and faceit overlays all running at the same time, now i turn everythign other than cs2 off and my fps peaks at like 90, but sits at 40-50 most of the time on the lowest settings possible..
okay but they need to keep these maps coming, 3-4 map updates per year like this, its not like they even did any of the work for these, the community made. There are plenty of other great maps readily available... and have been for quite some time.
The update is good all around, but I expected more. CS2 feels more like a chore than fun time with friends. Even with new maps, content is lacking, in my opinion. I don't expect to see dumb flashy things in the game, or just trash content pushed into the game for the sake of it, but I expect more from a game with such history and with Valve as the developer. There's no reason to play CS2 insted of other FPS games. We've been playing the same maps for 25 years, the same game modes, the same loop, with the same dynamics. The best times in CS2 are the times you don't play the official maps on the official modes. It's been hard convincing friends to play the same thing they're tired to play, especially against cheaters most of the time. It's just easier to play other games and have actual fun, in games with new ideas, with actual content and lots of different modes. I remember in some old operations having to do some co-op missions, having some challenges to beat, having rewards as you play, It makes you care about the game and it makes have fun times with friends. The game has just became a borefest and frustrating. Hope this changes and the fun factor will be the major thing to takle, and not the skin market.

I'm ultimately happy for they fixing competitive ranks because it always been unfair when you are silver but actually been a global in CS:GO ruining the game for others who are not global. I can finally enjoy competitive now
Bruh it makes no sense that Valve didn’t even bother acknowledging the 25th anniversary but for the 24th they give people a birthday coins or whatever. Keychains customization stuff and other leaked features hopefully will be added by the end of summer but it’s looking a little underwhelming. Good update but not what we expected per se.
hyped my old cs 1.6 buddies up for 25y anniversary, expecting the biggest update of all time for the biggest anniversary of all time. last week i realized that valve doesnt really care for counter-strike anymore. sad, really, sad.
Valve: remakes CS:GO, turns it into CS:2, removes 90% of the content, sucks at everything they could possibly do, refuses to elaborate further, turns into EA
If this is the start of MANY high quality community maps being added, say once a month, its a huge positive. If valve wants to start rolling out the dough and use the already existing content - who would oppose it.

To me, fixing matchmaking would be a working VAC or overwatch and clean rankings/new season at the same time as maps, would make more sense. We’re gonna be stuck in season 1 forever lol

Why are all the comments so negative? Everyone expected a new Operation, but these are only your expectations. No one wrote how good it is that they finally fixed matchmaking and optimized the game itself (which is not easy to do) I guarantee that when the Operation is released, everyone will write why Anticheat was not updated, when Anticheat is updated, everyone will complain about something else ...
Man I just want an operation. I am starved of one and I have no problem playing standard comps with the boys but I miss the operation. Now with this update it feels like we will never get one and that operations are a thing of the past
Yes, many of the community had wished/hoped for more. Nevertheless, the cheater problem seems to have gotten a little better and we're finally getting a little more variety! For a good operation you need more good maps and that's where the start has been made. If Valve keeps working on it, it will only be a matter of time so far i'm very happy with the update!
EVERY SINGLE PLAYER with a G-SYNC monitor should enable that (and NVIDIA REFLEX + BOOST and V-SYNC) RIGHT FUCKING NOW! I just tested it, and holy shit Valve is right, the game feels smooth AS BALLS. I usually had LCD screen ghosting when playing at high refresh rates but that seems to have been eliminated??? Also the latency is lower than the temperature of Pluto, the game feels great to play. ENABLE IT NOW! I BEG YOU.
I've been saying this forever, even made a guide on it for CS:GO many years ago with the only difference being instead of Reflex (didn't exist back then) you had to cap the fps below your max refresh rate. Hopefully people will finally understand that V-Sync, if used correctly, is a good thing. Now with Valve officially recommending this. there is literally no benefit in getting 600fps vs 350fps when your input lag is identical and your monitor only supports 360hz for example. it's just a waste of energy, and thanks to G-Sync the game will feel even smoother as it pretty much eliminates microstutter.
If you have AMD and FreeSync monitor: enabling FreeSync, turning on V-Sync and capping a few fps below your monitor's hz (for example 141-143 fps if you have 144hz monitor) working aswell. You can also turn on AntiLag (equivalent of Nvidia Reflex) but I don't know about that changing something greatly
@@DarkEagle26it depends, if you have a 144hz monitor and usually get 300fps+ then yes, because you are physically limited to 140fps or less. however if you barely get more fps than your monitor refresh rate it's a no brainer. likely same thing if you have a monitor with over 240hz and get plenty of fps. you dont need 500fps for the lowest input lag, you can usually achieve the same stats with a lower rate. when I tested it myself, using around 350fps and 800fps, there was less than 0.5ms difference in actual input latency. meanwhile by using g-sync the game felt smoother overall. so generally speaking, it simply depends on your hardware. luckily there are great tools out there to see your input latency, so you can simply test it yourself. if you get the same latency using gsync+vsync+reflex compared to having all off, then definitely enable it just like Valve recommends in their blog post.
@@Curken thats the old school way, and yes it works. Reflex is crucial here, because it automatically caps the fps below the refresh rate to avoid any v-sync input lag. not sure if Anti Lag does the same or not. But with Nvidia you can simply set the fps to unlimited or 999, doesn't really matter.
For anyone without a GSYNC monitor, use V-SYNC fast instead of on or off. The gpu will continue to generate more frames than necessary like without V-SYNC, but instead of having screen tearing, it instead just shows you the previous fully completed image. Low latency and no tearing, all in one.
Most people were complaining about microsuttering that were proven to be caused by VAC, not by video settings. It was shown that those microsutterings don't occur if game is lunched with "-insecure" flag, which basically mean: with VAC deactivated. So, Valve is kinda bsing us.
The game has a huge audience, a constant large online and a huge number of problems ranging from optimization to cheaters. And the poor indie-developers from Valve cannot handel it. Wake up! CTX made great co-op maps in CS:GO for free. Now he can't even do that due to lack of tools, so instead he started making his own games. A whole year has passed since the game was first shown, but it feels like we are still in beta.

the worst part is that all valve really did here was lower the number of wins needed to 2 and apparently readjust the rankings, the maps are all community made, also they released bugged maps, not the onces that recieved hotfixes by the creators lmao

Anomaly just continues to buy thousands of dollars worth of cases lining valve's pockets with more cash. The community should be outraged at this. They uploaded community made maps on 25th anniversary and it's enough for some people... They just put the maps into rotations, literally shitting on us with how low they try.
Valve changed some menus and some maths as to how ranks are calibrated. The community made the content. Seems like they’re slowing down effort again, probably for the sake of Deadlock.

After this update I constantly face a situation where when Im being peeked the game freezes and it unfreezes and the guy peekin me is somewhere else. It also show "arrow pointing down and percentage". I dont know what to do I reinstalled cs2, turned on and off V-sync, G-sync, reflex and even lower manually ma fps to the refresh rate. If anyone had the same isssu and know how to fix it pls let me know. (btw I have RTX3060Ti, i7-10150kf, 16gb ram, and SSD
I dont understand why cs can't just deny the rumors about operation. People would still expect something but not be disappointed that its only map update.
1 year after release, the game is still open beta. It will take 3-4 years to catch up with the quality and content of GO .. thank God for skins, otherwise this game would have died 10 years ago with this support and updates
maybe within 3 year the game is playable again with a working anticheat and solid map rotation etc. but for now all that matters is Black Ops 6 so after that maybe I will come back to CS… and if not GTA6 will be there too

No operation, no mention of the anticheat, just packaging 5 maps that weren't even made by them, fucking around with video settings, and doing something that used to work in CS:GO just fine while also doing the immense, sisyphean work of changing a constant from 10 to 2. And this is the update that warranted "extra testing" and couldn't come out on the anniversary? Speaking of, notice how there isn't a single mention of said anniversary, here? This is just a TF2 level update for the 25 years of CS.
It took them 6 months to fix mm just wow. This update is 80% maps that are not made by valve and 20% tweaks and small map fixes like this was delayed for week.😂
No operation, just a tweet for 25th anniversary, still no danger zone, still nothing to fix the cheater problem. All is good because people are still opening cases. I'm not sure what to say.
No train, Cobblestone or cache, Assault, aztec, no comp italy no weekly missions, no danger zone. Just bunch of community maps that existed for some time now. Im starting to think that they really have some sort of skeleton crew working on this game. Its been like over 9 months and the game is still sht, full of cheaters and framerimes are like tossing a coin.

guys i have gpu 1060, nvidia reflex is heavy for this gpu on the cs2 ? Or does it have nothing to do with it ? i do test but i don't see some impact, my cpu is i5-8400.
I like this but I expected much more. CS2 is still unfinished, there's still huge problems with VAC, ELO and performance. I hope by the time we get the next season things are fixed.
I still want an anti-cheat first because I usually play with a full squad and the chances of getting another 5-stack with a cheater is higher than it should be.
Any updates on the SimpleRadar for cs2 really missing that from csgo I don't know many of the newer maps in the comp pool at the mi tue and would be a really big help
SIMPLE RADAR developer here, it is currently impossible to do custom radars without tempering with files you are not supposed to temper with. With CS2 release Valve has changed the path of radars directly into the core .vpk file which gets checked by VAC

Another day another patch without 128 tick server and overwatch. Btw all map maker have been hard at at work fixing lot of bugs but valve puts the bugs in anyway. Valve loves dota 2 more unfortunately
ngl the r/globaloffensive post about warowl's take on this update was really disappointing. I swear all of the people complaining would have complained if it was an operation and call valve greedy. Like I get people want anticheat updates... but people on the thread were complain about how valve wont fix AC or FPS issues... i swaer they didnt even read the patch notes... valve have been trying to fix FPS? and I swear cheaters are slowly getting pushed out of the game. I watched a video with leetify stats to back up this feeling. I get people being dscontent with valve, but the anger and ferocity leveed at the devs for an update (which people have been begging for) is un called for. I have been wanting new maps for a while. I was getting bored... But im not allowed to be happy about it there, because it wasnt an operation, or an extra 100 fps for potato laptops, or cobble, or cache or train... how can people realistically complain about cache not being added to the game? Like actually??? FMpone just made a new map... and is cache is actively being worked on... people will actually complain at anything in this community and I hate it tbh ;-; I like that new content has been added that I wanted... why am I not allowed to enjoy it and the progress being made without being called a valve boot licker?

You will always see negative opinions dominate on social media, there are tons of people who will be quite happy or just content with updates like this but will never think of posting that opinion.
Still no Train even though it was one of the maps used when marketing CS2. That was all me and a lot of people wanted (including pro players). Not this. The fact is that people play these new maps for a while and then return to premier. What an absolute joke.
Decent update. But the big one is still missing... Cheaters are still doing whatever they want. Untill this issue is fixed people are forced to play on faceit or esportal to atleast escape a few of them
