the REEL pinnacle of overhead jiggers in my opinion is the Shimano Ocea jigger, I handled both the saltiga and the ocea side by side and found the shimano to be smoother, more precise, lighter and more compact in the hand but I must say the saltiga is easily the second best jigger on the market, + it has more drag so probably better on tuna :)
@@TackleWest Okay I'll remove that. I have both and you are right about parts. The evergreen is next, next level though. You did influence me to buy the 22 Exist 5000, it's even nicer than my Saltiga Bay Jigger 4000SH, or Morethan Branzino How do rate the Shimano Ocea Jigger I have vs this new Saltiga?
Man Love this new reel. Was looking at the Ocea but when I saw this in person and this blue gold is crazy. Picking this up with the odm slow pitch 6. 8 rod at Tomas Tackle in Salem Mass this week.
Thank you kindly for sharing the information on the new Daiwa reel so very impressed with this new product for 2022. Can I make a little suggestion please to include your name so when calling the store to be able to speak with you please. As I live in Port Stephens NSW some items you sell I have not been able to find here in nsw Thank you kindly for your understanding please. Kind regards John Dickson.
Just received this from ebay through FedEx. And I am using a Pro-hunter kaido vervio 200g max 6'1" solid rod (as light as a feather)with spiral guides and strong enough to land a 38kg yellow fin tuna...just within 10-12 minutes...(230g Tokayo). Daiwa Saltiga 15h is very cute and small 😍 but it fights like a serious monster built for the kill. Don't be fooled !!! Edit:I used Saltiga EX #3 (55 lb) 400m braid.
@@flynnellison9435 Im looking to buy one real soon, is either this or the F custom 1501hg. Trying my luck to see if someone really compared these 2 and gives me some insight.
@@chernlee88 depends if this diawa reel comes in lh. Also not many people use the fall lever on the f customs. I just got a 1501 xg and 2001nrxg from japan for about $200 cheaper than in aus per reel 👌
