Andrew, I love your channel. I'm really struggling to choose a new laptop. I shot myself in the proverbial foot 4-5 years ago with a terrible laptop buy (before I had a better understanding of specs etc.), and this has me really cautious about making a solid choice this time around. I've been looking at Dell's XPS line, Lenovo's ThinkPad line (particularly the Z16 and the P series) and HP's Envy line. Every time I near a decision, I find a review trashing my impending purchase. Whether it be bad build quality, thermal problems, poor performance... I'm at wit's end! I guess there is no such thing as a perfect laptop! Anyway, sorry for the rant. Again, your channel is fantastic, and I love the way you present.
The XPS and the ThinkPad line are a big step-up to the hp envy line. In terms of ThinkPad P series the P1 are thin a light performance laptops and the P16 have powerful CPU but integrated GPU or less powerful GPU less battery and worse screen, Is just for enterprise applications, not good for home use. I can't even recommend The P1 series because it is just a x1 extreme with some enterprise features and more expensive. In terms of ThinkPads you can find some excellent prices on eBay, they are an enterprise line, and sometimes they appear with discount on eBay, but the x1 extreme line is the way to go with ThinkPads. The other option is the Dell Inspiron 16 plus. Almost an XPS in terms of build quality with better GPU and a lot cheaper.
I love Everything about the Dell XPS 13 in UMBER except the lack of ports! Not a lover of carrying multiple dongles with me. Other than that, it's a very Premium laptop. Excellent review as always Andrew!! 👏😁
Nice unique color. Woud be nice to see more color variants like this for laptops in the future. Also Dell if you read this, please do consider putting amd options for ultrabooks like this in the next year models.
Not sure I want that chassis on the future 15" and 17" XPS models. I need a gap for my keys. Off topic: Hoping you get hardware to review from both Google and Microsoft soon. I'm hyped for the new Pixels (I REALLY hope they announce a Pixel Fold) and Surface Pros. Also, dope jacket.
