New details in Jodi Huisentruit case suggests crucial evidence was destroyed 

About 5 seconds into the interview portion, my thought was: They’re not actually going to tell us jack sh*t, are they?? 🤦‍♀️

This is what I hate about the media. Talking without saying a damn thing just to fill time and keep you tuned in .

There was supposed to be a palm print recovered from the outside of the car. Jodi told the police some days previous that she thought she was being followed. Then the police escorted her to work a few days. She must have given the police some description of the vehicle. And she was already late for work and answered the phone that morning. And people ignored her screams. We need a complete story here.

Okay, so what happened with this? It's nearly 2 years since this video was recorded. Who is/was this person? WHAT HAPPENED WITH IT?!?!

My god, I’ve never heard anyone say so much to say nothing at all. You could condense the entire half hour down to: I spoke to someone who told me something they’d never told anyone else. I can’t tell you who or what, but it’s definitely real. So this guy knows who took her and he’s just going to keep it to himself and waste 18 minutes of our time? Okay.

At first I thought it (new witness) was someone close to John Vancise. But after hearing this I'm thinking it was indeed people within the MCPD at the time are involved

After reading a lot about this case, part of it is the Mason City Police Dept doesn't want to admit failure. Their chief refuses to talk about it (unless that has changed) and apparently has told his officers not to comment either. Ridge is for the most part telling very little or nothing here.

Anybody think it’s strange that John happened to move from elsewhere to Mason City and happened to move into Jody’s apartment building and name his boat after her? He could have become obsessive after seeing her on the news and purposely moved to Mason city to run into her and befriend her.

Without details, Steve Ridge is no different than some internet commenter playing sleuth. I know a number of licensed private investigators who are no better than a random web sleuth. If eventually we find out his details and it was pivotal then congrats.

This is just like a law enforcement press conference. And the answers they give to reporters. Nill.

This case and the Springfield 3 are what started my true crime fascination. They are both so baffling. I sincerely hope they are both solved and give some peace of mind to the victims families. But as each year passes, it becomes more and more unlikely 😢

This informant needs to come forward and tell federal authorities what they know and get this out of local hands.

Hard to comprehend how EVIDENCE could be thrown out. I think twice before I throw stuff out at home. Maybe cops who throw out EVIDENCE should be working in sanitation and not law enforcement

I'm listening to this again. Sounds like the fear the informant had is no longer warranted. Meaning the drug dealers have passed, moved on, moved out, been executed? This "informant" simply needs to send what she/he knew in a letter form to police, anonymously. It's time.

There has got to be DNA evidence from her house and vehicle. I mean come on the toilet seat was left up, beer cans on table etc. It's 2020 with all the advancements in forensics they can't solve this case. Obviously LE hasn't submitted it that's if they even took any from scene.

Why bother to put this up at all? All these high profile unsolved cases have these adjacent investigators who say things like "a person has come forth with new, crucial evidence but I can't say who or what it is." Don't waste your time watching this.

Very good interview in my opinion. But she keeps saying that the informant gave a confession. A CONFESSION? Like to murder? If not why label it a confession? If it is a confession to murder why no arrest?

I just watched a more recent video of him claiming something about Jodie not owning the Miata, that she was test driving it for a friend. In the comment section people were posting that is not true - she had purchased the car from a local dealership but had not transferred the title yet. Very odd

Michelle Martinko’s murder was recently solved after 40 years. I’d suggest that killer out of Manchester, Iowa, may be involved in this one too. Michelle and Jodi look almost identical.
