Sephora in the US has now added at least 5 of the colors. I ordered straight from Dior's US site since Nordstrom's was out of most of the colors I wanted. I want to add a warning to be careful with these. Out of my 6 (I might have gone a little overboard!), I've had the upper right shadow fall out of the pan on Grand Bal and New Look. I've seen a couple of reviews where people mentioned problems as well. They didn't shatter, but it seems like the softness of the new formula is leading to a design flaw of sorts. I'm not fussed since I caught them so they didn't break and I was able to put them back in the pan and know now to keep them flat when storing. But I DO want to warn other folks who might need to carry their quints around with them to be careful & maybe store them flat instead of on edge. I think it's a measure of how awesome these are that I'm not sending them back.
Hi Beth! Thank you SO much for the warning. I pinned your comment to the top so hopefully others will see this. * Knock on wood * I haven't experience this but I see what you mean because the formula is so incredibly soft. That's such a shame that they don't come with those little velour pouches because I think they would cushion any blows to the palette.
@@strll3048 I don’t carry mine around. They last pretty well all day unless you’re doing something strenuous outside. I’d use one of the Chanel stylos or Victoria Beckham eyeliners to tightline & in your waterline since they’re waterproof & leave the quint home after application. If you do have to carry it, consider a padded makeup bag or zipper pocket in your purse to give it a little protection.
I love denim, soft cashmere very much from your pick ,I love your eyelook ,its gorgeous, you're right that this palette is so pretty and matte doesn't look hard matte .I love to see your eye makeup tutorial video using these palettes.thank you ☺️☺️☺️
I believe that I will be purchasing the "Soft Cashmere"!! I am actually not upset about the velvet pouches. I usually end up throwing them away!?! Love your looks!!!
I would love to see a look with plum tulle first. That one speaks to me the most but all of the quints you purchased are ones I would buy. Denim scarves me a little bit. I am not sure I could make that one work for me. 🤔
These are so beautiful! I limited myself to 3 (so hard lol) and got Rouge Trafalgar, Black Bow, and Denim. I did a declutter of my eyeshadows, so these now have the place of honour!
I used to use the old, old formula of Dior quints (early 2000s?), but haven't tried them since. I splashed out and purchased two: Plum Tulle (safer) and Denim (waaaay out of my comfort zone, but the most visually pleasing of the palettes to me). Haven't tried them yet, but I'm happy to see your swatches and hear your comments. Thanks as always, Allie! :)
I can’t wait to see you test & try on the palettes! This was like a teaser. I just knew you would be getting the blue & purple quints you can pull these colors off beautifully. I can’t decide which ones to get. I look forward to your video!! 😊❤️
Great video Allison. I bought all 3 of those palettes and some others. So far the only one I have worn is the Plum Tulle and loved it. I have bought Dior quints for many years but really love the pigmentation of this new formula.
Thank you for your review! I’m a total fan of Dior and looking forward receiving mine later on this week! I have a sales person in The Bay that always advise me with Dior products and there’s a pouch as a gift as well 🤩🤩🤩
Hi Allison! These palettes are absolutely gorgeous! I think you picked the perfect variety to try. I will definitely be picking up one of these three so I am looking forward to all of your tutorials to come. I always love watching your videos and you always answer my questions so I don’t need to ask 😊
I purchased the Tutu palette and the he Black Bow palette! I haven’t received black bow yet but the tutu palette is gorgeous! I love the pigmentation and the blend ability of this new formula!
OOO I love your swatches! Plum Tulle for the win! Yes, I too need a cool purple in my life. Ordinarily I would NOT use that white shade, but, Allison, you have me convinced to try it ! The more I see of Soft Cashmere the more a must buy it becomes...
I love these! I have plum tulle and denim on the way but soft cashmere is something special imo. Dior’s new formula is incredible! I think you are right that the biggest problem is choosing! They did a great job designing their color stories imo.
Hi Lexi! I also think they did a great job with the colour stories and this new formula is amazing. I think that Soft Cashmere is my new go to soft everyday palette.
I got plum tulle as well. Looking forward to your looks . I love the deep mat purple. It looks a bit darker and bluer in my quad. Maybe just the screen. I love the purple silver from the top left as well
Please start dramatically with the Denim palette. And what about acquiring the Trafalgar and pink carolle palettes? I think Dior have excelled themselves with this collection, and some of the Christmas colour combinations look inspired.such a delight to experiment.
Bon matin Allie. All the quints are beautiful but my fav is the plum, I think that will became stunning on my green eyes :). Waiting from reviews in all of them. Ida
Hi Allison, I got the black bow - classic smoky palette. I knew the shelf life is 6 months, but I had to have it. It’s nice to hear from you that they last longer than 6 months. Thanks for your video! 💕💕💕
Love the ones you purchased. Denim and Plum Tulle are the first two I want to get. Soft Cashmere is very pretty but I think it is close to Tom Ford's Nude Dip which I already have. If you have Nude Dip maybe you can let me know if it's close. Enjoy your new palettes. I look foward to your upcoming tutorials.
I always go to your channel for luxury eyeshadow reviews! I love the velvet pouches too so that when I travel, I don’t scratch the surface of the palette in my bag too bad they removed that. 😄
To my eye, CD seem to be outshining Chanel on eye palettes this year. Can’t wait for our lockdown to end to get to the shops to view the range. I love each of your choices Ally. Thanks for the review and I’ll look forward to your demonstrations. 😀💛Deb
I’m so impressed by these palettes! I bought Tutu and I adore it, but plum tulle looks gorgeous as well. I love purples! I’m strongly considering picking up soft cashmere - in lieu of the new Natasha denona palette.
In this newest formula I had a similar dilemma: I couldn’t decide between Tutu and Plum Tulle because I’m still looking for the eighties purples so... I have both. You’re correct... as usual-the formula is beautiful, easy to work with and so creamy. I think these are totally worth the investment. And, if you can only get one, the fact that there are five shades and you can do a natural or smokey eye from one palette is well worth it. And, I don’t know why they have the 6M expiration date....well, I have an idea but I that’s a whole other post.🤨 I love your topics and thought process!! I look forward to your posts!!!! 😍
Allison Chase Right... I’m cynical so of course I think .... well you know. I’ll have mine in five years and I bet it will be fine. I wore Tutu today... it’s gorgeous. I swear I look at the purple palettes I don’t have and it’s like subliminal messages: it shouts “I’m beautiful-you need me- buy- me- and, I do”. I’m like 🙈
Shadow heaven! Such gorgeous colors. I want them all, but too bad there's no pouch. You MIGHT try this w/ stuff that doesn't have individual velour protectors: I like CT iconic looks w/ makeup bags but didn't want to invest in a bunch of those. I did get the sophisticate (your suggestion - love) so I put that, with a liner pencil, blush, lipstick & gloss that go with it in a cosmetic bag. I had other unused bags so I did a golden goddess bag, a bombshell & my version of the vintage vamp. Just w/ stuff I had. That left me w/ minimal every day products on the loose. I like it because everything is grouped in cosmetic cases, my drawers look more organized, I can take a "look" out, put it on, pop it in my purse & go. Might not work for you b/c you need things available to film, but an option. XO
Hi Missy! What an amazing idea! This might work for me if I wanted to set up "featured" items for every week or every month. I could have a little kit of products I'm trying to use during that time.
I am in love with the one I picked up in Mitzah.. I think it’s my favorite eyeshadow formula, to date. So disappointing that the expiry date is 6 months! I’m not throwing mine out in 6 months... are you? The look you have on your eyes is beautiful! I have “Nude Dress” coming this week! I want to try Cashmere & Poncho, and probably another one, too!! Happy Monday, Ally! Have a great day!
I wasn’t going to buy anything but I just ordered “denim”. I may buy another couple of palettes in the future but right now I’m into color and the blue eyeshadows were the ones that got my attention at first sight.
Hi Allison, thanks for the review. Did you see them in person? I wanted Soft cashmere but this light color is very disapointing. I am considering 599 New Look.
Thank you for another informative video! If you had to choose between Dior soft cashmere palette and Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow natural shadows, which one would be a winner texture and formula wise ?
@@valentinaufimzeff3527 Chanel does make good powder eyeshadows but their Les Beiges eyeshadows in general are not outstanding. Stick to the regular Chanel eyeshadow collection.
Darn I wish you would’ve gotten Black Bow 😘 I love the Soft Cashmere, I’ll probably purchase it if it isn’t similar to the Natasha Denona Glam palette I just ordered lol
They arrived in UK shops 3 days ago. I already got 4. Lol Mitzvah and Red Trafalgar were already in the list. But ended getting Soft Cashmere and Poncho. Maybe New Look... but I will see. Who cares about the 6 months anyway?
Didn't you miss a matte shade in soft cashmere? I got very disappointed with the top two shades, they spread glitter in my whole eye and ruin the other colors. Or I don't know how to work with them. 😔. I was planning to use this as my main work palette as I do not own much make up and feel like I wasted my money on this one.
I actually really love it, the dark brown shade is matte so it works for me. Feel free to book a consultation if you'd like a step by step walk through on how to apply the palette.
I adore your video! Happen to come across your video and it was excellent. Wanted to show support 💕 I also have a channel too. If you have a moment to check it out that would be much appreciated! ❤️
