Not a nitpick...the glass is part of the price point man...you should absolutely expect heft and quality with bottles..atomizers..caps.. presentation etc..I agree even if it is a fantastic scent..when your wallet feels the purchase it should be quality up and down..it disappoints me when expensive companies/houses slack on quality
I think Sebastian from Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews did first impressions a few days before me but he had a sample, so I guess I might be the first one with the full bottle. Thanks for watching and commenting 💯
Cool cool. Sebastian mentioned it was closer to the edp too. I honestly don't know how much more they can milk this line. 🤔 If Chanel comes out with BDC Elixir I might just crap myself. Too late.
The edt and edp are basically year round scents. This sounds more like a colder weather scent based on the heavier spices. I will have to check it out. Good review.
Yes based on scent profile I would call this a fall winter scent, unlike the other three where they are more versatile scents. Although I’ll probably still wear this one year round as well.
Nice run down Corbin. I wonder why the trend is to only drop three notes? I’m sure they have a reason, but don’t get how not listing all the notes would have a big marketing strategy
@@stevenwalton3363 That could be very true! Especially with so many clone houses out there. I thought that even with the notes being kept secret clone houses can get a machine or program that will break down a fragrance for them anyway. Not sure how true that is either, but just something I’ve heard
I too am not a fan of the edt. Kinda boring to me. The edp is better. A bit more complex. Never smelled the parfum. How did you get this new one so fast lol
It’s pretty good. It has a nice natural mint accord to it in the opening and then as it drys down the scent becomes warmer like the original pour homme
Always nice to get a fragrance before others. I had Prada Luna rossa Ocean for 4 weeks now. It smells good, and love to know that i dont know anybody who has it. So no one smells like me😍🥳 I dont have any sauvage in my collection, not the biggest fan of the edt. But im looking at the parfum version, or this new one.😎
@@kingsnyder3310 Got it from a Big designer warehouse in Denmark, they made a mistake and had it for sale. So was fast and grab one before they found out it was on there website. But it is out now in the airport
Wow that’s awesome! I’m interested in trying ocean. Yah if you don’t like the EDT, this one you might still enjoy. To my nose, there are more differences than similarities.
Hey man, I'm a new subscriber. I really like your channel. I have just a couple of suggestions. It's a little bit odd where you announce "roll the intro", and you said "welcome back from that short clip" Like telling us what you are editing. It's weird. Also I would say get a cheap ring light. Thanks for the content!
Hey I appreciate the honest and non vulgar feedback! The transition in/ out of the intro is just a style I developed and have been using for a while now. Like the person said above, it’s something I developed to stand out and the goal is to keep things personable. No one will ever be able to make everyone happy. If I just cut straight into the video topic after the intro like most people do, I’m sure id get comments from others saying I’m copying other style, or not being unique. I’m sorry if it’s annoying or as you say “weird”, but, again, it’s just what I do to differentiate myself it keep it personable.
Elixir last like 10 hours on my skin, although it didn’t seem to scream. Based on the three you mentioned, Parfum has the best longevity but sits the closest to the skin. Edt jumps off my skin the beat.
In my opinion. EDT: something a high schooler would wear. EDP: the one I wanted to love. Gave me a headache a new times. It's just me, don't let it scare you. Parfum: most gorgeous scent of the trio (at the time). I prefer the Parfum, I feel like it's a scent for a man. Not a mature man, just a man. I'll be picking up Elixir though. Definitely a winter scent, IMO.
EDT: About 4 hours of wear time EDP: 6-8 hours depending on sweet or spicy Parfum: Highest oil content to last you all day It depends on the performance you’re looking to get based on when you apply, the price reflects the oil content and sometimes the EDP contains top notes that really leave a lasting impression. Sausage Parfum nearly disappeared on me with my skin chemistry, however this Elixir has stayed on me all day and mixed beautifully. I sell fragrances for a living so I was super excited to get this one in the department for testing and evaluation. So far it has been a hit and it actually will layer quite well with the original Sauvage EDT or EDP if you wanted a morphing fragrance while at an event or dinner. It’s certainly worth exploring and will likely be marketed as a unisex fragrance at some point.
@@northwestscent9455 It has no sense combined which the fragrance topic. It’s only my opinion. I don’t wanted to offend you. It’s should be like constructive criticism.
@@Bad-RoboCop I mean, Cascade Scents, TLTG Reviews, Justin Copeland, Max Forti, etc. all named differently but maybe you wouldn’t know the channel is fragrance related without watching. Why is it different for me? Or have you commented the same thing in their videos? Lol
@@northwestscent9455 Today I saw your Chanel tor the first time and thought, that you make good work for such a small Chanel. But than I saw your name and instantly thought, wtf should it mean. It’s like if you would name it Carpet Scents. It has very specific meaning, but not a tiny connection to scents.
@@Bad-RoboCop NorthWest, as in the Pacific Northwest of the United States (where I am from), and Scents, an alternate name for fragrances. There that’s where the name comes from lol.
