I played this with my daughter yesterday. We were able to beat Ursula with the included decks pretty much by racing her. This was on easy mode. Ursula would have won in her next turn. This is going to be a lot of fun trying different (and better) decks to try and beat her on the harder modes. 😊
Given how many sets 1-3 cards come in each included player deck, I’d really love the option to just buy everything except the player decks (Ursula deck, etc). So existing players can just use their own decks for the Ursula scenario.
Love Deep Trouble, even on hard-mode solo Ursula crushed me lol. One major peeve is the oversized cards make storage a real pain. Keeping the game as-is requires 180 card storage + oversized cards. There isnt anything I could find on Amazon or at the game store that offered a 1-box solution. To make matters worse, the retail packaging doesn't reseal. A pretty big oversight for a boardgame company, imho. I hope this problem is solved next time.
@@jadevanschie290 it will indeed fit the cards, but not the documentation or playmat without creasing and damaging. The 400 Arkhive fits everything, but there's a ton of extra space. Same for the Dex Protection Game Chest. I went with the Arkhive and used a foam insert cut to fit the gap and keep everything nice and snug.
Not sure if you have anyone's ear at Ravensburger but I really think they need to find a way to control Ursula's deck a bit better to ensure a more consistent play experience. That is unless the intent was to make a basically unwinnable game in the case of unlucky card draws.
None of the stores I’ve talked to got enough of them to even fill the number of people that wanted to preorder them. And I’m not paying double just to get it now. I’ll probably have to wait until the big box stores get it in a couple of.
you draw x cards (x based on difficulty) she plays what she has ink for and inks what she doesnt. She doesnt spend ink she just has to have enough to play the card each draw reveal. Hope that made sense.
