What do you think of the perks like first access to exclusive items, merch, meet ups, game divisions and the potential for a Soku team down the road? Its tough to market a new mousepad company so is stuff like this an interesting way to stand out?
I think it's all a bit much, although I like it when companies have discords for info on new releases. Also, having good support is the most important thing. Wooting for instance, awful support experience recently, and their discord is where they respond to people more quickly, but all in all not a good experience. Hate to say it, Finalmouse has some of the best support I've encountered, but they also stick out because I've *had* to have my items from there fixed haha.
@@nyororomeowelas1225 yeah true companies need to take discord support more seriously. Gamers really prefer it over traditional email/chat support. Not sure how Soku handles all that but good point to keep an eye on it
@@UpgradeLemonade Ah yeah ironically Wooting's approach is to respond to Discord tickets much faster than their emails, which took about 1.5 - 2 weeks when I was emailing them.
@@nyororomeowelas1225 ohhhh I see what you mean now. Yeah I mean they need to respond to stuff in 2-4 days business time for email. Over a week is way too long
Outside looking in the perk system is cool but by the 2/3rd product launch they should’ve at least had one of things they promised available by now. Especially with the lack of the universe story telling with these two pads it instills less confidence in their vision.
Really glad you dropped this review. Thinking about reviewing it, I'd probably prefer the SOKU Akai Control version cause I assume most will review the Shiro. Love the design too
I was interested in the past and was in talks with them but to be honest I lost interest ... really only MaxGaming is an option and it's $80 shipped to USA or like 70Euro to EU. Not saying it's not worth it but at the same price or more than Artisan and similar to variations of their pads... I'm left a little meh
That's the PureTrak MF2 , it comes in a few designs but that is there Warrior design. I think I have a link for PureTrak in the description with a coupon code if you wanna grab one of those. Solid pad
For someone who just wants a mousepad, i think its hard to recommend Shiro over LGG Saturn. V2 rubber based LGG pads has insane value thats really hard to beat.
Ya the Saturn is goated and it's a little bigger for the price. From a value perspective it's great but the Shiro is great if you want to have something beyond black or red in color.
The lgg saturn pro is more similar to the shiro than the akai? I bought the lgg saturn pro which is a control mousepad and I want a hybrid mousepad, I read that the Shiro was a hybrid, so I want to know if the shiro is worth it to have a little more speed than the saturn pro or if they are more or less the same is not worth buying the Shiro.
