@@kingdavid2840 I agree. As well as media offloading. This is social networking software which allows for thousands of photo & video uploads which eats up server space fast. A cdn is not enough even with Rapyd hosting. I feel this should have been built into the original release.
@@kingdavid2840 There are several plugins that do this with buddypress integration. Before buddyboss adds these features to the plugin, you can use these plugins. Some of them are free
Remember the roadmap is not a promise,@@kingdavid2840 but just a insight into planned developments. Whenever we're adding features, our development team have to be agile based on business and user needs, for social login there are a lot of third party plugins that work - such as Mini Orange. That said, we are likely to build Social Login into our Improved Registration features next year.
As Pachxata mentioned, take a look at the repo there are some great options already compatible. WP Dark Mode on Appsumo is something I'm having good success with. When we turn our BuddyBoss Components into Gutenberg blocks this will unlock the Theme to be Dark mode friendly; but it's going to be quite a large task for us to address next year.
Please bring the BuddyBoss theme up to date and support the Gutenberg Block editor or let us use more modern themes such as the new Wordpress 6.4 2024 theme.
Hey Paul, you can already use the BuddyBoss Platform with other themes, but there is a lot of styling required. That said, when we start shifting our components into Gutenberg Blocks this will make a lot of improvements and should open the Platform to be a lot more friendly with other themes. I will say though, it's quite a big task but it is something we plan to do next year.

Hi! Reactions are going to be huge for my community! Will the reactions be only for the activity posts, or will they be for comments as well? My users have been asking for comment reactions specifically so they don't have to reply every time. Also, I am assuming everyone will get notifications when someone reacts to their post/comment? Thanks.
Reactions will initially be released for Activity Posts and Activity Comments, this will be then expanded upon in future to Forums, Blog Posts and more. As for reaction notifications, it's currently not in the scope but let me have a word with the dev team. My only concern about this would be how much overwhelm it could cause with our current Notifications System. Much like the Group Subscriptions, we need to work on a better solution to strike a good balance so your users don't feel like they're being spammed with too many email or notices. Ultimately, this is where the Notification Digest feature comes in, but it's become a complex feature to handle all situations. But perhaps this could be when we add reaction notifications.

I eagerly anticipate the awaited implementation of the Social log-in, a pivotal element. Extravagant features tend to introduce unnecessary bulk and sluggishness to the system.

Today is the last day of December, therefore the last day of the year, but the features promised in this video are still missing. Why promise customers (deceive customers) what you can't do. I think buddyboss is developing very slowly compared to its competitors

Hello, when I post a new update in my feed a popup opens. Can i disable it? I want to create instantly on the page and not on the popup windows. Old versions didnt had that popup window for adding updates

Great update post. I would love to have a dark mode theme color preset bc it’s very challenging to invert the colors manually to dark mode style. Also I would to have a login pop up for non-member visitors to my website as well as business page template and event template.
Thanks for leaving a comment. When we update our blocks to Gutenberg that will free us up to add a Dark Theme. One thing though, updating all our components is a large task, and will take many months. It is something we do plan to do in the future though. As for the login pop-up, great suggestion and it's something I'll speak to the team about.
What we would like to see most is the ability to schedule activity posts. Some of our users rely on this, and they have chosen not to join our community because we don't have this feature.
Thanks for the suggestion Bec. We've actually started on designs for this, and it's likely to come out some point next year. That said, our first impression of this type of feature is for it only to be usable by Site Owners and Group Admin/Moderators, not for all users of a community. Is that a deal breaker for your community? I'd love to know your use-case for all users.
Allowing scheduled posts are useful for teacher profile types, and even students. Teachers in groups could plan, do, and post their contents in advance and schedule it to appear at a later time in groups... This saves time.
