Exactly--What would have happened if he had the right producers who actually knew what to do with him AND he left the group for real before Bobby B? He really kept that NE train going--and does not get enough respect for that...true MVP.
Lea O. That's the truth. He has that smooth and rough Michael Jackson type of voice. Very Versatile with upbeat and ballads. Ricky, JG, and Bobby are also amazing. Ralph is definitely the lead voice of the group. Not better just a great lead voice.
@@vegasmitch1472 Vegas.. I’ve seen Ralph 5 times from 2022-2023 and he still sounds good. he doesn’t sound like he smokes cigarettes with his singing w voice. His talking voice always been raspy so no.
@@ashleyoya Look at His Lips & that Raspy wasn't just in his Talking Voice. Never heard the Raspy in his Voice until about 10yrs ago when i Noticed his Lips getting Dark like Smokers.
They were together in the late 1990's for "Home Again" and toured a lot. Bobby has also subbed a lot for Ricky in BBD. The group has never really split up. They are like no other group in music history...10 acts out of one group. They have the original NE, then there's NE with Johnny but w/o Bobby, and then there's NE with all six. All three NE groups have different catalogues. The. You have four solo acts: Bobby, Ralph, Johnny, and Ricky (one album I think). Add in BBD and Heads of State (Bobby, Ralph, and Johnny), and on top of that two more spinoffs with Johnny performing with LSG and then that group with (Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank is it?). There's nothing like it.
Ramone DeCurta yes you are so right. All other groups let their egos destroy the group, this group group had ego problems but because they were true friends and really cared about each other deeply they were able to survive.
Caught the show with my girl in Hampton Va we were front row and I swear to God they sang and danced for like two hours and sounded exactly like every record I've ever heard and this was just last year very impressive.
Trina Ross : True, because Bobby is actually the best dancer in the group. He got out of shape from that stroke he had, but I’m really glad my man hung in there. I thought we would lose him, to be honest.
Ronnie Devoe is the best dancer in the group. All of them can dance. BB even admitted that. Ronnie is best dancer. I could care less who is best this/ that 😏 NE has talented young men in the suave, smooth and Professional group. 💪💯👍💜💜💜💜💜💜👑👑👑👑👑👑✊ No doubt about that.
Bobby was in a car accident a couple years ago and ,he can't dance like he use to, that's why he's picked up weight and also a lot of stress in the multiple deaths of his brother and his son recently
NE4LIFER here. I'm so proud of my boys, and I think it's amazing to see them all dancing together. I think it was a clean performance, and they still had those 90 degree NE knees. Brooke Payne provided the template that other boy bands, try to copy. You notice, that they all manage their space perfectly. No one bumps into anyone.
this is the first time I've seen Bobby perform,"if it isn't love", he did a pretty good job, given the way they make fun of him during the concert skits......
I just looked at it. It was a medley, not the whole routine, and it was really fast. I would've liked to have seen them do it normally. But it was still good to see them doing it. That should've been included in the movie series.
Elboogie1975 I just looked at the 1990 video myself yes it would of been nice if they could have made it a part of the movie it was really fast i agree . As if they were rushed to do it the movie was so good lol wish it could be a part 4,5,6 hurry up with the NE tour😞
Oh wow, they're killing it! The choreography is fantastic! Ralph voice hasn't change much. He still has it. Go Ralph! Go Ralph! I luv Ralph! Bobby is hanging in their. I luv him too!
Antoine Cox after seeing to movie, you are so wrong. Bobby was a cancer to the group. He may have started the group but his egotistical ways is why they kicked him out and eventually why everything blew up. It showed later in his self destructive ways and the pre example he set for his daughter. I'm so sorry for him and his family
Beverly Porter That's because they are brothers for 4LIFE threw rain threw the storm God almighty always make away for these 6 amazing men 😎 especially Ralph and my my my my my my my JOHNNY...🌹
I absolutely love these dudes. Must respect to my brothas. I remember it had to be around 5 years ago and my brother and I was in the car and I played "if it isn't love" and he said to cut that old shit off. If looks could kill, my brother would've been toe tagged that day lol. I turned that shit up and hit repeat after it went off. Now after the movie, he wanna hear that same greatest hits CD I was playing that day and we both laugh as I pop it in.
temptations/j5 were the standard for decades and great for the history of r&b groups....but Me has done with no other group has....in springing great acts from "all" of the members!!....Legends!....period point blank........now they need to keep bbrown/gill in "shape"....and rock it until those 50 year old knees just cannot do it anymore...lol....their stamina even at this point- - - mind boggling!!.....much admiration&respect to these dudes...."still" gets my sisters goin crazy!
I remember this performance when it first aired. This was right before Sherri Shepherd was leaving The View. She was acting a damn fool when New Edition was on the show. All six of these guys rocked that performance. Even Bobby was on point with the steps then later on that tour he couldn't really hang with the fellas on the choreography which made him left half the shows from the tour including the concert i was at in Dallas. Ralph was on point vocally on this performance because in past performances his voice was raspy and offbeat for a minute. Too bad Johnny didn't get a lead in the medley but i know he is a great team player for letting Bobby, Ralph, and Ricky take the lead vocals while he harmonize along with Ronnie and Michael.
Thats usually on tour after he's been singing damn near ALL of the songs ALL night. This is a 4 minute slot. That's 30+ years of wear and tear you hear. The others besides Johnny barely sing.
