Loved watching the process you go through planning your table settings. The flag idea is a great one! I would love to hear your thrifting suggestions. I hope the week ahead is a good one for you!
Good Evening Linda, Enjoyed your video tonight. Loved your tablescapes. You and your Ben are so right the second one is YOU! Stay your authentic self and your won't go wrong and will maintain continued success. I love the decor and style of New England Colonial. Alas, living in Georgia, even though it is one the original thirteen colonies, the decor has that "Southern Vibe". It just looks more in tune with the area to go with more "genteel" decor. Which I love too! Can't wait to see what boxes you will come up with next. Best Regards, from ❤from Georgia!
Good morning Linda, just watched this week's video Monday morning whilst having my coffee, they really help to set me up for the week. I definitely preferred table setting idea number two, it was more you. I love the ideas you come up with. Have a great week, kind regards Julie from a cold England 🇬🇧 💐
Agree with you,the first tablescape was too much ,not a fan of the grass, but the second attempt was lovely. With most things simple is better and again you can't go wrong with white, black, cream, light gray , blues and greens. Willow is a sweet pup🐾🐾
I had the same idea about the garland vs. ornament "hack" - I saw a package of rigid, flat egg-shaped cut-outs at one of the dollar stores near me. I thought they were ornaments to hang, as they had several different colors of gingham pattern on one side only and some jute twine, but the jute connected them as a garland. Undeterred, I knew I'd see how they were strung together and cut the jute between them to turn them into the ornaments I wanted instead. Easy, and only $1.25 for each garland with six eggs attached! I also thought, if you had another set or two of the mini garden tools, you could put them in a floral arrangement in your orange (apricot?) ceramic watering can flower pot - perfect to reinforce the Peter Rabbit/Garden theme! Enjoyed the new items, agree with Ben (and you) that the lace tablecloth didn't work with the more rustic "grass" placemats, etc.)...maybe for a tea party or another Spring gathering? Looking forward to seeing your pair of egg trees next to Queen Bess...Cheers!
HI Linda! I lovve the Peter Rabbit Garden theme.. 37 years ago I did my daughter's nursey in Peter Rabbit, I still have all of it like the crib mobile, comfort& shams, stuff Peter, etc etc, what a surprise that would be to her !!! Your mom's cat is beautiful, I am too a cat woman !! So you are opening a store??!! What happened to you slowing down ?!! haha can't keep a good woman down !! Hugs & Blessings Paula ~~ Indiana
@@newenglandfinelivingMy Wild Guess is that if you put them on your Online Store...we all know that you paid $10 each for them! Lol! They are so cute! Could you put them in your garden if you keep them?
I totally understand the wallpaper!!! My backsplash paper I feel in ❤ w/25+ yrs ago!!! This year, hubby offered me new countertops! They needed replaced. Couldn't find the paper anywhere. I was distraught!! Hubby did an EXCELLENT job on the new counter/backsplash install!!! He totally saved my paper!!! HES THE BESTEST
So wonderful to see humans and animals living together and co existing in naturally peaceful surroundings ..Just to appreciate as to how it should be.. Thank so much for sharing part of your day with us , your viewing public .. x ❤
Linda, thank you for another enjoyable video. I always look forward to them. Your content, filming, and music selections are peaceful and inspirational. I like how you include your pets, Willow and Gus, in your activities. God bless your "Kindred Spirit", Robert.
I look forward to your videos every week Linda! What great finds you got! I agree with you about the second table setting, perfect for your home. Loved Willow running to you during your nighttime walk. Have a great week!! 💗
I like seeing the beautiful wood of your table. Great idea for use of the garden flag. Have a good visit with the kids. Thank you for sharing.. See you next time.
Good morning Linda. I need to get outside to trim also. It's been raining the last couple days but at least the weeds will pull easy. I love Staffordshire dogs. I inherited mine from my grandma, who came over from England, but there are no markings on the bottom. They are a little smaller than yours & are dark in color...greens, blue & tan. They have been in my life since I was a little girl as grandma lived with us. Look them up, they have a fascinating history.
I cracked up when u talked about NOT following trends…. Me too I’m the opposite of trends. This is my kind of shopping! What a haul. God bless Linda! John 3:16
Linda I sooo enjoyed spending this time with you !! Loved everything about this video. Really appreciate how you think out of the box as you said, I will try to do this as I shop. How lovely to have a window seat to sit with your coffee and enjoy the blessings of nature !! Thank you Linda and have an enjoyable week .
Willow is my favorite. She is fun to watch. Looking forward to your finished Easter table. Your property is beautiful and so peaceful with the deer. Looking forward to Spring blossoms and gardening. 😊
Yes, I can never forget your $25 grand father clock. It’s love-envy. What a wonderful concept of a thrift shop within an assisted living community. Really great video. Loved Gus. Hubby and I have rescued many Guses over the years. 😊😊😊 Great Haul, by the way.
Love creating a world I call my peaceful moments. Beautiful cat. Love building my Pyrex. I don’t like trends I do me. Video, just in time I have been going through my Easter decore likes and dislikes. I will make them chick eggs, show video again please! sweet Linda.
My husband found a set of blue and white Staffordshire dogs for me for my birthday several years ago. They move from mantle to China cabinet, depending on season. I really like them!
It did make me laugh Linda when you were talking about adopting the two Staffordshire dogs & Willow jumped down from her seat & came over to you as if to say ‘O yeah Mom’… Great video.
Good morning Linda thank you again to make my day love all your content in you tube have a blessed day Sunday from my home to yours ❤ from texas well wishes !!!
Good afternoon Linda, I was surprised when you said you are doing Peter Rabbit. I have already started my Peter Rabbit theme. It started with ribbon. I am looking for a particular copy of the Tale of Peter Rabbit. I found thrifting this week salt and pepper shakers They are shaped like eggs with rabbits on them. The cat is so pretty. It was delightful to see the deer. Thank you for the video. As always, a huge for Willow.
Hi, I've been away for awhile due to illness but I'm back now & thrilled to see you are still living. You are my therapy, I sit in my window seat with a cup of tea & watch your VLOG . So please keep it up. And more shopping please! LOL😊
Linda, it’s ALWAYS so wonderful to live in your world for a little while. Such beauty surrounds you in your home and property and I appreciate so much that you share it with us. I always think how wonderful it would be to sit and have coffee with you. God Bless you and yours.❤
I see you have traces of snow on the ground! Here in Minnesota, north of the twin cities,it’s 64 degrees today,no snow all Winter! It’s like living through 6 months of November this year. I find that ,I really missed a Winter of snow covered garden. Love the Staff. Dogs set. I have wanted a set for years, but, never knew where I’d place them.I prefer the black/ cream ones. I think the Staff. Dogs are just Too white for your home! 🥹
Did my things that needed cutting down… roses, hydrangeas, clematis, crêpe myrtle…. all that needs to be done in March where I live. You can’t weed and mulch until April and then after Mother’s Day you can plant new things…. Frost period is over. Glad that I can do a little bit each month. It can become overwhelming in your head and on your body. Lol and of course, your pocketbook. 😮
🇬🇧 I wanted to say that in the UK we call all the counties which end in shire, ‘sher’. Oxfordshire, Cheshire, Devonshire etc. we only ever say shire if we’re referring to ‘The Shires’ collectively. Love that bee wallpaper, Farrow and ball make a pretty bee paper but without the trellis pattern, I’m excited to see where you use yours.
Thank you for another wonderfully inspiring video, Linda. We've been able to get out in the yard and gardens for a few weeks now here in north Texas. Just a lift to the soul. I am coveting those dogs, lol. Mustache or not, they are perfect. I loved your last tablescape and would love for you to share more crafting, gardening and thrifting with us. If you have to cook, share that too, lol. xoxTXDeb
First of all I loved Willow rolling around in the snow. So cute. I’m longing for Spring. It’s been such a dreary day here in Virginia. Rain and winds 20 miles an hour. I liked the idea of using the garden flags as placemats. I just wouldn’t have thought about using them that way. They would also make a nice favor for guests to take home.
Linda, I loved your video especially the second table setting. That was more your style. Very classy. I have to say my very favorite part of the video was the walk and seeing the video cam results. Sounds silly but I got tears just watching the deer walking around at night and hearing the crunching of the hoves crunching the ground. Watching them is so awesome and beautiful. I sit at my kitchen table or my k. Window and watch the deer on my property , when I get the chance. Before my 2 G.S. I had the deer almost up to my patio. Thanks for sharing.❤
I would also love to see how you made the deviled chicks! Enjoyed the video. I'm currently decorating and trying to freshen up my home. It's interesting how we can like something but still has to feel like us- As you mentioned regarding the cute bunny tablecloth. I figure I can return something if it doesn't fit in. Sometimes you just have to try.
Awwww Linda I love that Queen Bess above your fireplace. Ive seen that image so many times but I love the shape of yours and the writing. Did you do it?
Those Staffordshire pups ould look nice on the side table you have in your living room, the one with larve picture over it..or on different places on your living room bookshelves. They don’t have to always be together.
Honestly, Linda, I cannot imagine you, Ben, and Willow living anywhere but Sugarwood. Loved seeing the three of you in the woods and the deer captured by the camera. Such a special place to live and share with family. ❤
So creative! Love the flags for placemats. I understand taming your inner thoughts and gardening seems to be my savor as I can see it yours as well. It is hard to quite a creative mind sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day and other days there are too many hours. ❤️Willow in the snow.
Oh it feels so good to go work in the garden. I’m in Iowa and we had a record setter 78 degrees out a few days ago, it was windy but oh so nice to do a few yard/garden chores.
The chicks are too cute for school. I agree, the second place setting was "more you". Garden therapy is the best therapy in my book. Thank you for bringing us into your lovely home and sharing your creations!
I look so forward to your videos love what you bought your table looks great love the idea for the flags love willow running around and rolling in the snow
Hi Linda!👋🏼 I just discovered your channel, and I love it! I absolutely love New England although I live in Florida😏 I have two sisters who live in New Hampshire. I’ve also spent a bit of time in Massachusetts. Wish I could live up there! Your content and your home are gorgeous! You are blessed. Say hi to Willow❤️
You need a battery hedge trimmer for your heavy pruning eg 'Wintersweet' It will make your job so much easier. My husband swears by his. Or if you like pruning maybe invest in an electric pruner. I learnt it is better to work 'smarter' not harder 😄 💚 The electric pruners are awesome when pruning roses. I wish I had bought mine ages ago as they saved me hours of work.
Oh trust me... I have one and use it often! In this case and many other times, I make the conscious decision to have no noise and enjoy the quiet moment. Thank you for sharing! I'm with you on that!
