I got the same ones and didn’t want to take the bumper off again for just this. I used the 3m tape where you did, and screwed it in from underneath. Having threaded screw already imbedded in the fin, and securing with a nut is a much smarter idea to secure to the mesh. I may try to fabricate that myself, but as of now it’s very secure. Even on the track.

I installed these on my C8 back in June. I didn’t drill through the bumper either, but adding 3m tape is a great idea to prevent movement! Here’s a few things I can share from my install: •If you have the stock exhaust you WILL have to remove the bumper to install the center 2. •I used different screws on the bottom portion so I can add nuts on them. After a few weeks of driving I noticed that a few of the screws on the bottom actually came out. •You can put painters tape on the top portion of the brackets (where it’s attaches to the screen), and mark the tape where the holes are. This will make it easier to locate the holes if you’re installing with the bumper on. •One thing I wish EOS would’ve done differently is attach screws to the top portion of each fin and and provide nuts. It would’ve been significantly easier to put the fin in place and then tighten a nut from the backside vs trying to find the hole and screw it in from the backside.

I like your ideas. The screws going through the belly pan into the bracket would be much more secure with a nut. I could see those coming loose and I would recommend doing that as well. I also agree it would be much easier if there were screws that came out of the top holes and just put a nut on the backside. It hurt me enough to have to drill trough the belly pan, there was no way I was drilling through the bumper for that middle screw.

@@eight16garage yeah drilling through the bumper for a $200 mod is insane lol Paragon Performance sells some that are very similar but a better design imo but they’re also like $800 (which is ridiculous lol), so I went with these.

@@_Car_Ideas Couldn't agree with you more. I originally wanted the ones from Paragon but then saw the price and thought the same thing you did. I think the way theirs mount are a better design (less drilling on the belly pan) but like you said before just go get some better hardware for mounting these and you basically have the same thing for a lot less money.

Thanks for the install video. I just ordered these and they mount much different than the paragon ones according to their video. The only thing that bothers me is that I’m having to pull the rear bumper to install the center rails with the stock exhaust. I’ll see how creative I get trying to do it with the bumper in place. 😁

Yeah, kind of a pain to go through all that for such a small part to install.

I got the same, and installed them without removing the bumper. I found the easier way to install them is to purchase ss bolts and nuts from Home Depot. Cut off the bolt head and insert it into the fin. Now I can take the fin and insert the two headless bolts into the honeycomb grill with easy, and then tighten with nuts from behind.

Carbon fiber fins would look good. Maybe EOS will add that option in the future.

Are those carbon flash black or matte finish?

The ones in this video are their matte black option. Their website also shows there is a carbon flash painted option as well.

@@derrickdunlop3566 Honestly, when there is a mismatch in finishes it usually bothers me. However, because they sit so low on the rear bumper and the fins are pretty thin, it's hardly noticeable that they're a matte finish unless you're really looking for it.
