I love the way yall can compare the new EPCOT to the old without getting into the same negativity loop that a lot of creators get into. As a newer Parks fan I don’t have the connection with the old way the park was and EPCOT is still personally my favorite park. I appreciate yall not getting into the “IP doesn’t belong in this park” or “why are there thrill rides” debates that fuel a lot of other Disney content people.
I couldn't agree more. The negative tones that a lot of other creators use are lost on me as a newer parks fan, too. I always prefer positive comparisons as Disney has something for everyone but doesn't have to be everything to everybody.
For those of us who travel from overseas we don’t have that connection and appreciation to the “quintessential Epcot” stuff and the IP is something that helps us appreciate the park more. Different strokes for different folks
If there’s one thing I can count on its Mammoth Club doing an in depth review of something. Just thinking about Molly’s possible words about Luminous made me tear up. You both get it. Thanks for doing what you do.
I used to work at World of Coke in Atlanta so here are some fun facts I learned about Ms Beverly when I worked there. Beverly is actually discontinued and is only made for the tasting experiences at World of Coke and Epcot. Beverly was designed to be a palate cleanser and you're actually not supposed to drink it! You're supposed to swish it in your mouth and then spit it out. However, I'm not sure if that improves the experience.
It is so refreshing hear you guys respectfully give your honest (and educated!!!) opinion without jumping into the Disney-hate wagon everyone’s been jumping in these days. It seems like it’s the new fashion or something. So thank you for the work that you do!!! You’ve gained a new subscriber. 😊
“Listen we are here for the vibe… let’s conga, hopefully” 😂😍 The VIBE is Molly and Alan’s pure JOY and happiness over the new changes, also their unmatched knowledge of small details. Masters of WDW ✨
I am going to be an emotional hot mess when I see Epcot like this for myself in a few weeks. It looks so much more open and inviting, and the statue of Walt is the cherry on top of the space. The lights timed with Spaceship Earth are stunning too.
@@glenpreece yea it took me a second to figure out what was going on but it was pretty accurate to the point where the bottom of the band was a different color than the top if that's how the leds on the ball and the posts were showing. Pretty neat integration.
Current culinary program CP here. I work at Epcot(until the end of the month when I get deployed to Riviera for my extension)and I'm just in awe that I got to be here for this day and to see Luminous. Getting to see it with my work family of CPs made it even better! So happy you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you for sharing your positivity, wonder and info about all things Disney
I first went to EPCOT on… Oct. 1, 1982, opening day. Actually since we were staying at the Contemporary we got to go in and preview it the day before. Nothing was open except the gift shop at the front, but I recall all the landscapers frantically laying out sod and flowers to get it ready for the next day. I still have an unused Epcot opening 3-day ticket, I think it was about $90 back then.
Molly, you make me feel like it’s totally normal and ok to be teary eyed while sitting on my sofa watching the light show on Spaceship Earth from the new gardens - and, for that, I thank you! ♥️😂😂 Great video!!
I saw Molly and Alan when they were filming in club cool! I was so shy and nervous saying hi, but they were both nice! And if you can believe it, Molly is even more beautiful and Alan is even more handsome in person!!! 🤗
It was so lovely meeting you in the queue to see the new Walt statue! (I was in the Elsa bound!!) It felt even more special being there for Walt's birthday and able to see the new fireworks on opening night. The panel sounded so amazing too, love hearing behind the scene details! Hannah x
I really love this new update for EPCOT. I can't disagree more with the people that think this time should've been spent on another new ride. EPCOT has gotten 2 brand new rides in the last 3 years alone, and I think this park specifically was in dire need of more sitting space. This new area seems like it brings a nice sense of community to the park that I think Walt would've loved. My only gripe is the placement of Walt's statue. I hope they make some changes in the future so that Spaceship Earth can be seen better from that angle.
I am so emotional watching this like tears. Walt literally changed the world and brought us animation pretty much. My life is overun by animation, it is my favorite form of tv or movies, along with my dream to be an animator because of Disney and my love for art is deeply rooted in these films and like I cannot be more grateful to what he has done for me and so many.
This is one of the best videos you guys have made. Ever. Mammoth, previous life. Ever. You almost had me in tears just watching from home. I cannot wait to see the transformed Epcot! Kudos to you for bringing all the new things to life in a way nobody else has been able to fully capture.
I’m gonna speak up in favor of One Way or Another for Guardians. One of the best thrills I’ve had in my 50 years was BELTING those lyrics when I got that song during my Fab Single Mom Solo Birthday Trip this summer.
I really liked Beverly. I expected it to be way worse than it was. It’s definitely not something you want to drink a lot of, but as a palate cleanser or mixer, it’s really nice. The cucumber sprite was my favourite one hands down.
The more I watch these videos the more I appreciate everything Disney. I am from Orlando and I don't get to the parks too often and watching these videos are making me want to spend a lot more time in the parks. Love your videos. Hearts.
I was an intern at Cosmic Ray's 20 years ago and wasn't ready for how much Disney has changed. I thought that during the last week of January I wouldn't need Genie + for this park. I was dead wrong. There are too many popular rides for this park to be as laid-back as it used to be. The lines were so long that I didn't get to experience the World Showcase, which is my favorite part of Disney. I told my husband that I want a quick weekend getaway next year for my 40th. I WILL be getting Genie + from now on.
I’m still so sad I didn’t see you guys that day, I was there too! Lol but I’m super excited to watch this video and hear y’all’s opinions on everything! I sobbed during Luminous 😂🫶🏻
We met you guys right by Walts statue! Thanks for being so kind and snapping a pic. I totally agree with Alan how Luminous covers the entire lagoon and the really high fireworks so almost every spot has a great view. The garden I am still not sold on. Although that shade and seating will be fantastic in the summer
We were there for the opening night and got to say hi to Molly and Alan. Luminous was amazing I loved all the incorporating of the different countries and the overall story behind it. I liked that it was something that you didn’t have to have a perfect spot to view it since there weren’t any projections like harmonious too. So cool to get to be there opening night and definitely wander to go back to see the gardens and Walt statue when it’s not so crowded!
You guys did a fantastic job covering this new area! While I absolutely loved Harmonious, I do understand people’s grip with it. That didn’t stop it from having a soundtrack that brought this 37 year old man to tears everyone I heard it!😢… luminous is a solid replacement. SSE at night is the best thing Disney has ever created! Now it’s even better with the gardens. EPCOT is and forever will be in a state of becoming. Carry on Molly and Alan. Love your work!
Well I cried watching you all watch luminous. And my song with my son is you’ll be in my heart. I’ve determined there will not be enough tissues in all of Orlando to contain the tears when we take him for the first time this spring…
I loved seeing the changes they've made and can't wait to see it on our next trip. Some might not get too excited about gardens but I think it's great to have a beautiful place to sit & people watch. Molly, I was right there with you with the tears....OMG!
oh my gosh, those jessie ears are just the cutest things ive ever seen! i love jessie so much, she's my favorite character. molly id love to see you buy those ears and wear them next time youre in pixar land or whatever
Althogh my favorite type of videos are strategies of the parks. But I just love a Molly video. Doesn’t matter what the content it is, always so pleasant to watch ❤
Some friends just went last week and they were very happy with a lot of the new stuff. Glad to hear y'all liked it too. We need to make the trek down from Jacksonville soon and check it out for ourselves!
Loved this video. And was so lucky to also see the new show on that evening too. And getting to meet Molly and Alan in France pavilion…. Was low key the best day of my holiday 😍🦣😂
Great video. The two of you do a great job of showing the park and providing commentary. I had just watched another video from someone who wasn't there but commented based on video he collected and it is like night and day, your video was so much more helpful. It made me excited to see it, especially some of the details. I really enjoyed it, thank you.
Luminious was beautiful. I saw it a couple of days after you and I cannot wait to see it again. I was teary eyed but keeping it together until the final song and then I lost it. Our son wasn't there, but I texted him afterwards and told him I was full on Molly crying.
just got home from EPCOT !! it was a great time I went on guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind and it was excellent had my mom go on it !! the festival booths were amazing the night time show was AMAZINGGGG emotional
Hey Molly and Alan, it was so so lovely to meet you that day (I was the sparkly person you met in the Moana section 🙈) meeting you both made my day - thanks for always bringing us these amazing videos. My first impressions of the fireworks is that I prefer Harmonious just because I feel like I preferred the songs and it was a bit more upbeat but I need to watch it again. As a non ride person, I love the Moana section and I defo missed some of the things you showed (despite going in there about 6 times on our trip) so will be more thorough next time ♥️ xxx
I really appreciate that the buckwheat crepes are gluten free and that they will use those in place for the regular crepes if we order a sweet crepe gluten free.
I had to stop and think when Molly said Epcot didn’t previously have spaces to sit and luxuriate because I remember hanging out plenty of times between the gift shops and test track. …and then I remembered we were always sitting on low walls 🤦♀️😅 The new seating in Epcot will definitely be appreciated!
Beautiful!! I’m super excited to see the new show and explore the Journey of Water. I imagine my fave new thing will stay at Guardians tho - that tech is just so cool and so much fun!
Wow wow such a great video!! Cannot wait to see it all for myself soon! The Walt statue 🥹❤️. I really truly love that you guys never once take for granted what you do and your love for it really resonates . Side note ..Molly your hair looks adorable.
I was at WDW and flew home to Michigan the day before the walls came down 😭 As someone who’s new to being able to visit the parks, I’ve only known wallcot in my 3 trips so far. Can’t wait to go back!
Molly love your videos; very informative and entertaining. Will be in Disney in may thank you for all you tips and tricks. Stardate may 2024! Maybe will run into you on one of your weekly visits 😂
Around the 10 min mark, you mention that purchasing ILL is a good tip to be sure you "get in," but also the virtual queue offers the immersive line up experience. Can you do both on the same day?
Sad we missed this by only a week and half as we were there Thanksgiving week. I bet in a few years they come up with a fully interactive, robot Walt that will respond to questions in his voice. Boston Robotics has a fully functional walking robot now.
Great video, again! Wish list item-We’d love to see review of the character breakfast at Ravello!, as well as a refresh on the fireworks sip and savour event at contemporary
Love the review. We visited Space 220 for first time this trip. Loved the experience. Really appreciate the Lounge tip. We did the lunch because we are not big on deserts. The lounge will be how we go in future. Will have to try the deviled eggs next time. They look wonderful. Alan I loved the smoked old fashioned. Keep it going y’all
