New ESP Trig-Hammer Hooks! 

Bought a pack in december, so far had 6 bites on them in 2 48 hour sessions landing all fish absolutely nailed. You could not ask for better hook holds. Rigs were slip-d with wafter hookbaits

Just because, x caught a big un on it means nothing! X might have caught it on rusty old tackle! Its not about the product. Its about the time place and luck!

Just tied up a few rigs using these. Sharpest hooks ive had out the packet no doubt, they catch the hand every single time on the palm test. Impressed so far

They've just copied the RIG MAROLE Hunchbax hooks.

Liked the looks of these hooks. Had my first carp the other day on em. Low stock pit had a stockie approx 7-10lb lucky to get it in as hook opened out!!! Was using it as a 360 anyone else had this

Hi, Do these not cause mouth damage? Some of the waters i fish don't allow long curve shanks, is this what these hooks are?

Currently been using the size 6 on spinner rig with a 14mm pop-up. Pulling carp away under from the snags every session. Perfect hookholds and all catches absolutely nailed in de bottom lip. 💪

Got a couple of packs to try after seeing the results Mike from born&bred has been having! first impressions look very good, only issue i have is i would of liked to have seen these hooks have a larger eye so stiff materials could be used better eg 30 lb stiff links etc etc However, i will be on these exclusively on christchurch this winter! and have no doubt they will tip the odds in my favor. home run Dave, sure of it

Totally get the point about how sharp the second samples were, stuck in my hand getting them out of the packet! Can't wait to try them :-)

You said they are a big hook so what sizes do you recommend for different size pop ups or bottom baits... size 5 hook with 15mm pop up?

I bought a couple of packets of these (size 6 & 7 barbless) and I have to say I’m very impressed. The sharpness out of the packet puts other hook brands to shame. As a hook sharpener (I’m not in Jason Hayward’s league by a long stretch) these are exceptionally sharp. I’ve not used these in a fishing situation, so I can’t say how long the point will hold there sharpness, but not having to remove any of the coating means I won’t have to worry about whether the points have corroded. My only gripe is that these are sold loose, which for the effort gone into producing so sharp hooks seems a bit foolish as they are bound to get bounced around in transit. Having said that, the packets that arrived by post seemed to have survived very well. I do wish they were kirbed though, but I have done this myself with some pliers and they haven’t snapped like some brands do. They are big for their size, which is nice. I’m a fan of longshanks and these are set to replace most of what I currently have. Well done ESP! 👍

Still got some Raptors . They are a great hook . Use them for catfish , have never let me down.

Just got myself a few packs of these to try with some ronnie rigs, they look pretty awesome.

I cant wait to grab and try some of these at the weekind as i fish long shank ronnies over the silk weed in my local park lake , and they will suit me perfectly for this lake !

The test is my biggest tick to piss me off, how on Earth is your hand like a carps mouth ? It’s not, plus if you pull slightly down you will catch the hook in your hand every time.... Stop using the hand method it’s bad practice and bad teaching. Ps I love esp they have always set a high standard.

Looking forward to giving these a go when I next hit the bank.

Looks like a great hook, wonder how it would do with the 7 foot monster alligator gar I catch!?

Would like a little less talk on hooking efficiency and a little more on how they behave once hooked into the mouth flesh. We're edging closer and closer to bent hook style here and again its due to chasing the latest trends/sales. Your better than this

these are awful! awful! i bought these hooks had about 4 takes screaming off , not once did the hook catch on 4 of those takes all lifted into nothing straight in the bin
