Congrats, CP, for another fine video. At each area we see excellent progress being made.

Colin, thanks for this: it's a really good video. Well done on getting a great overview of the pitch relative to the stadium roof opening. Like others I also always struggle with your audio settings. I always turn up the volume to max and jump like hell when the adverts interrupt! A few PoI's here: 1) At 0:55 mins when you focus on the NE Movement Joint in the Barrel-Cladding you can see that is doesn't strictly copy the line of the dock edge below. The line below can be spotted easily through the Mansard Roof structure below it as the little galvanised steel bridge just to the left and below the Movement Joint in the barrel-cladding, allows people to walk over the joint there. You will see 8 such little arched bridges (2 on each stand concrete roof) around the stadium and in fact when you look at the NW corner in this video you can see a second one. 2) The Old Dock Wall alongside the south end of the pitch will not be visible when the pitchside layers are added. 3) The two-tiered concrete base, which will be covered in cobalt blue tiles later, and which you were looking for, is at the southern end of the Dock-filled area of the East Plaza. At 14:29 mins it's at the bottom left corner of the screen. At 15:37 mins you can see that it's located at the base of the first full-height brick panel northwards from the SE Corner, roughly halfway between those 2 nearest lighting columns. There will be another one of these located just to the left of the yellow-truck hiding behind the 2 green skips at 14:59 mins. 4) Centrally at 17:05 mins you can see the start of the series of 30-odd Pedal Bike Stands that will be located in the reclaimed Cobbles/Setts along the inside of the wall. 5) At 18:12 mins, they have moved the scaffolding from the northern small Gate Tower of the southern site Tower Gates entrance to this southern small Gate Tower of the Northern Tower gates entrance. Thanks again. Have a good day.

Re: 17:05 - The correct term here for the paving here should be "Setts", surely? "Cobble-Stones being of a more spherical shape, like large pebbles?
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 8 дней назад
@@mikeoglen6848 Mike: Good afternoon. Strictly-speaking, yes, they are using only Setts all over the site, due to the nature of the straight-sided edging to them where they're mortared. That's why I inserted the term Setts. However, I inserted the Cobbles term merely for some less bothered by the pedantic detail, in order to highlight that they are the old reclaimed stones which have a rounded top surface, unlike the new Granite Setts or Concrete Flags used over the vast majority of the new Plazas and Concourses, which are all flat-topped. The same reclaimed 'Cobbles/Setts' can also be found laid all along edge of the South Concourse between the Nelson Dock balustrade and the Nelson Dock Granite Coping Stones. It's the same acknowledged terminology approach as accepting that most people can relate to the 'Media Complex' rather than the correct terminology of the "DNOC" or "Distributors' Network Operators' Compound". Have a good evening.

You're sure about the dock wall not being exposed alongside the south end? That's very unfortunate if true
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 8 дней назад
@@gregbaillie6270 Greg: I've never been 'sure' about anything on this project, that has yet to be installed or completed, when plans can change. I can tell you only what the last-seen approved plans and images suggest will happen. I am only referring to the south pitch-side, not the Plazas or the internal Concourses, where some sections will remain visible.

@mikeoglen6848 8 дней назад
@@davidbadcock2225 Thank you for your response here.I see the distinction you are making here, david, but in this case I don't think it is being pedantic to use the correct terminology. In this instance I would support DNOC over the sloppy "Media Complex" terms when they are incorrect.

@johnjonesToffeeman
@johnjonesToffeeman 9 дней назад
Hi Colin great video as always.The dock walls are exposed at various places around the site. My question is if they keep them exposed how will they repair the damaged sections? the parts inside the pitch would be dangerous if players were to contact them so I don't see how they can be exposed
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 9 дней назад
John: the Granite Coping Stones at the pitch-side will not remain visible. They will disappear under layers of the pitch-side materials. They are only visible now due to the digging in of pipes and services around the perimeter and to an extent whilst the pitch area is also dug down. But then it will be layered up and the pitch-sides will basically come up to the same level as the bottom lip of the terracing. Seperately, IMHO, in regard to the wall Coping Stones being exposed around the plazas, they coped with a lot of abuse in their long history when they were exposed on at least 2 of their potentially 6-sides, so only being exposed on the one side (top) will be an improvement and they will be much better held in situ now than before. They are granite, remember, which is much more resistant to wear than most man-made materials, having been naturally present on earth from its infancy, way before Homo Sapiens made an appearance.

There is an anomaly with the so called vents in the barrel cladding. Everywhere else it is long cut-outs straddling 4 rows except tor the North East corner where it is only straddling 2 rows

Are some of those padded seats going to be heated, or have some other element that requires power? Looks like (at 5:56) there are coils of wire coming out of the concrete and the seats that are in place all have black pigtails hanging beneath them.
@andrewmackenzie8829
@andrewmackenzie8829 9 дней назад
The gaps in front of the hospitality lounge directly behind the dugouts are having 2-3 rows of what Everton have called "Enclosure" on a membership basis, x4 seats, built in screens almost like Emirates Business Class with concierge service of food/beverages. I do not believe the general 'All' membership or Tunnel Club seats are heated, but they're padded with higher backs.

Brilliant video again Colin. Just a quick question for you. How are they going to incorporate the old dock wall inside the stadium next to the pitch? I’m curious as surely it would be a hazard when the mighty toffee’s are doing sliding tackles defending our blue wall? UTFT 💙

Thank you again for the waterway info but they are right now laying the concrete floor right there to prevent it from going under the stadium. Why would they do that for just the illusion?
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 9 дней назад
Jurgen: yes, the concrete is indeed to act as a waterproof floor to the channel and to prevent water migration undercutting the seacant wall etc. The misconception about the 'decking' extension is probably my fault for a poorly- written/defined/unedited comment to an earlier video about the overlap of the planned composite decking that will lay on the lower levels of the Lower Promenade (which will overlap/overlip the Seacant Wall below) and which projects inwards to the water channel, if that makes sense.
