Just for reference CP, by the time Goodison closes next year the stands will roughly be this old: Park End, 31 years (1994) Main Stand, 54 years (1971) Gwladys Street, 87 years (1938) Bullens Road, 99 years (1926)
Why attack the guy? He’s given his time & effort to bring you a perfectly good video of our home with some very knowledgable insights from a season ticket holder. It’s people like you who get us labelled ‘bitter blues’. Try some courtesy for a change or simply don’t watch or comment
@@davegerrard4960 I really don’t worry about it, love a good troll, they comment , people comment back, all helps the algorithm’s and I get paid more 🤣🤣
Thanks, Colin and Phil. I enjoyed the relaxed review of the Old Lady by a passionate season-ticket holder. I've only ever experienced infrequent attendance of the Gwladys Street and Bullen Road stands and often smarted at the obstructed views. I know it's NOT the same for others who have very long and traditional experiences at GP (I was the first in my family to support a football team, never mind EFC) but I look forward to the experiences at BMD and will have a keen interest in the development of GP after May 2025.
As far as I know at this current time they are staying there as a reminder of what was there and the fact those players made the history at Goodison and not a stadium they never played at.
@cp-overview that makes perfect sense why the statues should stay just for the rememberence of goodison being there. I'd say your right and they will stay too tbh
I am not sure on the plan with the statues, if they are going to keep them in the area for people to still visit. Hopefully we will find out more information in the future on this
@@DuncTheBlue1878 _ Really? I 'm pretty sure you can see glass in dark frames , why would they put cladding over it ? It makes sense that it's open glass panels to let natural light in, what will be a dark space .
@@richarddeane8433 Because it’ll look better if they cover those gaps either side with brick cladding. There will be plenty of artificial light inside the tunnel. Skylights would have been good, but they decided not to have those. No idea why.
Taylor travels with a crew of 368. Trivia...the onstage crew...dancers, singers, musicians receive a salary of US $2500. per show, totalling approx US $380,000. per person for the entire tour. The drivers apparently receive wages plus a $100,000. bonus.😊
The towers in the middle of the pitch are called relay towers. They hang speakers from these towers. Due to the size of the stadium and the use the huge HD screens any even minimum delay from the sound getting to the audience is magnified - the vocals would be out of sync from the video.
I hope the work in Scotland goes well for you, Colin. I forgot to ask you if it was Building or Drone-related. 1) Yes, the gaps in the diagonal terracing side-walls are meant to be be covered over with Brick Facades in due course. 2) It's interesting that the concrete pads at the bottom of the water channel seem so far to be at different levels. I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact that the Composite Decking will project out over the newest pad and not the older one. 3) At 13:41 mins, one can just about see the area where they will be digging the extended tree pit for 3 more trees along the SSW face to about where the blue cherry -picker sits in front of the Ticket Office doors. 4) One would think that the recent rain would mean they didn't need to be watering the sand on the West Quay just now, but I guess a bit of sunshine and strong winds dries out the surface quickly and creates a mini-sandstorm.
Thanks David, building related , an old customer has decided to move into a derelict cottage in the middle of nowhere! But I will also take the opportunity to do some Scottish stadiums and may even try some new things as there are several castles etc in the area to try photography skills out on. I’m also meeting up with a fellow RU-vidr to do some drone experiments with our various different ones
2:14 the gaps on the mezzanine terrace steps actually have black steel panels as far as I can tell so wont allow any light through. I expect the brick cladding to hide this anyway.
Just googled Saan and FBN they joined force to transport items saan is from Netherlands and Romania, Fbn is Fly by nite and based in Redditch. Best wishes CP
Hi mate, reference your comment relating to ticket prices and the cost of staging the event, 50k tickets sold each night, 150k in total at an average price 0f £170 equates to roughly £25 million generated just through ticket sales. Obviously the promoters and production company will get the lions share of that but it would be fascinating to know how much the club will receive for the use of our stadium. Like you say, the cost of staging these tours must be horrendous and I'm sure the ticket prices are justified.
I think the club and Taylor's team must've reached some kind of deal. She toured Manchester last time. And sometimes deals influence where she tours, e.g. Singapore did a deal with her to be the only stop in south-east Asia. Either way, mutually beneficial I'm sure. Swifties are so dedicated and it must be doing heaps of good for the local economy.
It's a beautiful stadium. I hope they get the ownership issues sorted soon. Just out of curiosity, do they need active water management with it being so close to the Mersey?
@@petermorris5957 To reduce the risk of flooding, you mean? The site has large surface water storage tanks and the waste water goes to the sewage works next door via gravity pipe. In terms of flood risk, the ground floor levels are raised above the flood zone for an extreme storm at high spring tide and allowances made for climate change and sea level rise.
If you want to know how busy the site is, look at the amount of cars in the car park (see about 8 mins). You can tell it’s very busy meaning… people are working inside
You'd think they'd have the stage at the Kop end to utilise the new AR End. I wonder if that's because the ARE still needs some fit out work>? edit:oops discussed in other post.
Thanks CP nice to meet you too. Yes, we have a good few hours found our forever stones and enjoyed Melwood visit. You have us on the bottom of the screen at the end of vlog on the stones lol xx
Oh the irony of it all 😂 we’ve waited what has seemed an absolute eternity for all the seats to go in & now they’ve stripped hundreds out for a bloody pop concert ?? C’mon
