Idk in other versions but in the Spanish version of Octo Expansion right before the final battle starts, Tartar says something that would be translated like "Come on pasting effigy, let's remake the world for its original owners, the humans", which sounds like if he wanted to prepare it for humans to come back, so I think Tartar knew something about humans being alive somewhere And btw the disturbing sounds are probably of the octarians themselves, by taking the zapfishes you cut off their electricity and as you can see on the levels everything like the level floors and some decorations are floating, and without electricity they just fall down on the octarians, which might also explain the crashing noises

Actually, I already had a theory in mind long before this video was made. In fact, before there was ever an announcement of Splatoon 3 I was already working on a fanmade project called Splatoon 3: Splatocalypse. This was when I didn't know if there was ever going to be a third game. But my theory was this: Before the wave hit, the Professor was working on a substance that would pass humanity's knowledge onto the next genetic life form. However, the substance didn't get finished in time, and so it was only a prototype, so all the information retained from the humans would just be battling and fashion. I also believed the time-capsule device used for Judd was also used for the Professor. After all, it would make sense that he would use the time capsule for himself. I also had the idea that the Professor was a time traveler, and he has had telepathic contact with Marie, since she is the only one the Professor really trusts out of the entire inkling race, due to her awareness of the future. These are just some of the ideas I had, since I wasn't sure if Splatoon 3 was ever going to happen. Nonetheless, it was refreshing to see this video. It made me reflect on ideas that haven't been thought about much since Splatoon 3's release. If anyone is curious about my plans for Splatoon 3: Splatocalypse, I may make a video detailing my ideas. 5:20 I really like that theory it makes sense that when the humans drifted around in space they eventually came to a new planet far away and to build onto this maybe the story of splatoon 4 or the dlc is that they travel into space finds aliens and near the end it’s revealed that they are actually humans that has mutated or evolved that would make sense

That it's either a joke of the developers because it's fun to watch or read documentaries about species and what they do, etc. Or that the Squid Research Lab are actual humans secretly observing the Inkling and Octoling world and making whole scientific documents about them, like they are the filmers of those wild animal documentaries. It would be fun if that is the case
I feel like even if some humans survived we won't see them in the game. The closest we'll see of humans in the game would be a post credit picture if a remote human settlement in some mountains or a lunar colony, but that's more end of story plot twist.
What if you had to save the humans from their cryogenic sleep chamber, but when escaping you have to fight the squid research lab then unlock the humans as playable characters. (I know many people might not like this but you could have the option to play as your Mii)

Modern means are actually able to terraform mars, it would just take A LOT of resources and playing the long game, but it's possible. Given that Humanity was in 5 or more world wars, I'd think that Humanity's technology diverged from ours at this point, so it would be even more likely

I like the idea that there is just a cryo bed of humans up in the clouds surrounded by a storm and the key to waking them is now a ghost that just shows up one day in the middle of a rainstorm all dazed and lost. The story could be figuring out just what this strange individual is and leading it to the humans in the sky to finally fulfill its duty.
I don't really think it'd be a fun idea if the humans survived and interacted w inklings and octolings it'd just look off and not that interesting of a story

The story for Splatoon 3 pretty much lines up with the moral - Humans, while brilliant, were stupid. We ruined everything for ourselves. No second chances. And Octo even backs that up with a machine made by humans deeming the new species as useless and vapid for fighting wars over fashion and music. I kinda think it fits more that there aren't any. If there were, it would mean Grizz would of been in a weird moral odd area later. Instead of directly a bad guy. He'd get his way by accident by having mammal life restore a balance in ways. It just makes more sense to say we messed up. It's a more focused story. Humans wouldn't add anything to the story. They work better as relics. :)
Theory: The Professor is E-Gad. The Splatoon universe takes place 12,000 years after the apocalypse, while the Pikmin universe takes place millions of years after the apocalypse.

In my head cannon when playing the video game "Space Engineers" humans are alive. Due to the technological marvels and horrors and advances made in the world wars 3, 4, 5 woukd resulted in space travel being taken up by space mining companies sending out space engineers and Space marines humans into other solar systems the space engineers would mine resources, and build new colonies and ships create more farms. While the space marines sent with the engineers protect them from rogue space pirates. and of course their are humans who turned to privacy looting and plundering follow the human space engineers and marine fleets starting the Golden Age of exploration, conquest, and privacy. Eventually. Contact woth earth is lost when World War 5 ended with nuking of the south pole of earth, this event cut and stranded hundreds ands thousands of human space engineers and marines and pirates from the cradle of humanity as ships and colonies raido communication from earth go silent and remain so for 12000 years. Entire human mining companies and colonies and pirate fleets would compete and wage wars on each other due to greed, and panic an event known to humans as the 12000 years of silence from earth, and civil wars among the soace engineers, marines and pirate factions. These space engineers and marines being far from earth and cut off would have zero knowledge of earth being flooded and build their colonies in bliss and fighting space pirates amd other human space colony factions. One day one or two of the major faction groups of space engineers and marines and pirates returns to earth, first reaching the moon where these space engineers and marines amd pirates would get a scenic view of a changed earth. The result is some of the warmongering space engineers, marines and pirates want to reclaim earth and restore rhe cradle of humanity to its rightful owners the human race believing that since the old earth governments are dead they can forge a new legacy and age on.the earth and seek to wage skirmish wars on the new inhabitants probing their populations for how effective in combat thy are while building up their troop strength and resources for a war to rerake earth for humanity and wipe out the inklings and octarians. But their are other friendly human space engineers, marines and some pirate factions who want to reclaim the earth but without genociding the new inhabitants, and wishing to make peace with rhe inklings and octarians.
Splatoon 3 story mode is about mammals, if the dlc side order is about smth mammal related too then I think the next saga in Splatoon will be about that probably
I've had a bit of an idea for a while, which may sound a bit crazy, but time travel shenanigans. Before the events of the original splatoon, the timelines between the human and inkling worlds connected, so some stuff managed to seep through to each side, but no living being could pass through. This could be used to explain why the splatfests involv things that the inklings and octolings should have no point in knowing about, like Spongebob or Pokemon. I would also explain how the Research team are able to learn and explain new weapon and special types.

we don't actually know wether the same proffessor made tar-tar and Judge. Also Judge got an immortal serum. He's been wake a lot longer than normal cat live. The ark polaris is the same ship as the SR stage. Then I also think the squid research lab is highly likely a group of actual humans in the world of splatoon, makes me wonder what would happen if the humans and the molusk meet. Did either of the cultures ever make their ways to Mars? Because if humans exist anywhere, it would logically have to be Mars. It's just something that has always been on my mind. Surely there has to be something there, if humans went extinct.. in what is presumed to be the distant future from Now. There has to have been at least a Colony, a whole settlement, a whole entire Civilization perhaps, maybe even Mars itself being Colonized.
