As someone who was on Team Order, I’m so glad Chaos won. It perfectly encapsulates what Splatoon fundamentally is and if I could go back I would choose it on a heartbeat
My favorite part of the cutscenes for those was Acht joining Marina, as they DJ'd alongside her. I also like how they move the right of their headphones off their ear before they start DJ'ing.
I just love how emotionless he is, really sells the whole AI and order thing. Something cool is that his only punctuation is periods, really shows no feelings or any soul.
first time beating it i genuinely thought i had lost when they started showing the clips of splatsvillie, such a great dlc. i had literal chills when ebb and flow started playing
Music can reach parts of the Heart and Brain that words can’t, because you can’t trust words that seem true… you have to let the reality and the façade break it down to you. and then.. It’ll be up to you.
Oh wow, I didn’t expect the boss to bring up the chaos vs order splatfest from splatoon 2. But I’m glad that a little chaos is needed, and Marina understands that now
Did anyone else notice in any other gameplays that sometimes Agent 8's colors on the ends of her hair and on her fingers sometimes change according to the color chips??? :O
@candycornshrimp oh thats right that melody from Ebb flow starts playing before fly octo fly starts playing its been a while since i played the octo expansion and the final boss so that slipped my mind My bad 😅

i'm sad that while u CAN "relive" part of this boss + some other one-time stuff u can't relive these scenes, i wanna re-experience the damn HYPE i had playing thru it here myself again glad some people recorded it tho, close enough
Can easily imagine this being recreated for a live version where Off the hooks bout to head off then the audience begins either clapping or stomping the rhythm just like in the cutscene between phase 1 and 2.
6:20 I actually started crying. I just love Splatoon so much, and the fact that Side Order is the end of the Splatoon franchise just is heart-breaking for me. Especially when they released Inkopolis Square in Splatoon 3, it's just all those nostalgic memories came crashing down.
it isn’t, they said this is the end of the current story line but not the franchise as a whole. Dw splatoon is Like on the same Level as Pokémon (almost, like take this with a grain of salt.) in Japan. So it wouldn’t be a good idea from a business standpoint to end the series.
Why the hell do people think this is the end? Nintendo is not gonna just throw away a franchise that has ascended to the level that Splatoon has. Heck, they might not even be scrapping the characters, Return of the Mammalians was supposed to be the end of the current story and yet here we are.

I am thinking they already had the basis of the Splatoon 3 story mode and DLC story mode planned out, the Chaos vs Order Splatfest probably didn't change that much except maybe the lobby setting.
i wanny cry this boss is so hard i already made it to floor 30 four times and i always lost on the last phase after you defeated all the tentacles (?) but he's using so many special attacks it feels impossible 😭
I'm a roller main, and god the strength you have from using a roller mixed to the insane speed given to you by the mobility chips is an incredibly satisfying experience. You can just roll on everything, as you go, you're an unstoppable force of destruction.
Fun fact: at the part where ebb and flow plays and pearl screams at order, pearl doesn’t actually need to scream to defeat them, it takes a bit but you can brute force it! At least when you redo it
I had just watched 1980s Tron the other day before playing through Side Order. Order gives me Master Control Program vibes, some of the plot feels Tron inspired lol.
I know I’m a bit late but I really enjoyed Side Order (Still really wanna play Octo Expansion 1 day) I really liked the unplugged version of ebb & flow & that music when they were all getting in the elevator made me feel something really magical
Thought you could, once you beat and go into the tower, there should be a box to interact with. One i think is the marina fight, the other is the last fight with overlorder

I remember when I was playing doing the thing to revive eight, I was like "C'mon.... Spamming the button!" And my friend, who is much better at splatoon than me, just said "You're supposed to hit it with the beat." I felt stupid lol

i cant play this for a while switch is busted i own the DLC and i got everything saved to nintendo online so i can redownload everything if nintendo has to replace my switch when i send it in
I hate that I will probably never finish Side Order. Especially since it is the first Splatoon game I've played for the entire life span of the game. I did start with Splatoon 2, but not until Octo Expansion had come out. And I am sorry, but I just cannot stand the gameplay for side order campaign. I wish they hadn't went away from Octo Expansion/and Splat 3 campaign. I just don't like Salmon Run gameplay, which is basically what it is. And it isn't just Salmon Run, but all shooting games zombie mods which Salmon Run is probably inspired by. You are forced to do the harder stuff and if you just have terrible RNG, well then you are just kinda screwed and have to restart. So thank you for posting this.
ok the pearlina side of my brain is going haywire so dont click read more if u hate pearlina but this ending BANGED dude its so good anyways my friend informed me that it was not acht saying "pearl, i..." at 6:04 and it was actually marina, i thought it was acht bc the screen was on them and i thought it made their voice clip idk and my friend. my friend said theres a chance marina was gonna say she loves pearl. im. i love these lesbians so much dude they give me the Happy chemical!! :3
