Louder is not always better I love the way the g200 sounds, the tone is perfect plus its always nicer to hear turbo spool over loud ass exhaust anyday 😉
The smoke is from the oil that’s inside the pipe. When I put on my turbo back on it smoked like crazy for a few miles down the road. It’s just the oil burning off. Nothing to worry about.
Danny your STi is sick! I like the sound of the new exhaust. I think that as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters. I also switched to a quieter exhaust on my wagon. I just got tired of it being so loud. Just make your car how you want it and don't worry about what other people think.
Invidia is the best sounding I reckon! I got the R400 on my 08 STI. For a daily it could be a tad quieter, but when you have to choose between the Q300 (which is practically stock volume but good tone) and R400 (which screams at high revs and makes me feel things) I am glad I got it! Sounds pretty sick man!
This is exactly what happened when I went from an Axle back to the Invidia N1. It’s to as raspy and it sounds better BUT on the other hand, I expected expected it to be louder. It sucks FA’s are so difficult to make them sound really good. The consensus with most Invidia exhausts are very bassy and deep.

100% better!!! That's the exhaust I want to get, too! Loved watch the progress of your car over the years. I have a '05 wagon, myself. I'm currently running an SRS exhaust that has a similar, deep rumble sound as the G200. Either going to go with the Invidia or the HKS carbon fiber Ti exhaust.
I have the same exhaust on my hawk eye. It gets louder when u get miles on it. But pro tip. Haha if it gets loud as fuuuuuuuh your coil packs are going bad. Mines went bad I replaced them and exhaust note is much better I noticed. The cops see the tip and will give u fuzz but I love the look.

im gonna miss the turbo whistle sound from the exhaust. maybe use the n1 resonator and cat-back. and the n1 exit and muffler. idk thats what i did, sounds sick either way. gg
The smoke is cause the exhaust is still brand new and it’s burning off the oils and initial stringy wool like exhaust packing but could also be oil in the pcv going to your intake too much meaning AOS time
Sounds amazing! and looks good too! I'm looking to do the same. Right now i have the N1 Race (same as you before) and I'm tired of loudness specially @ highway.
3:59 is what sold me on getting this exhaust 😂. JK I finally have this MF being shipped after a month of waiting on the backorder. This video is what made me purchase the g200 honestly. Great video, very in-depth look at this exhaust.
The smoke is from the oils they coat the inside of the exhaust as a corrosion preventative and the oils from your hands touching it burning off. It's normal homie. Also, I live near you guys!
I'm have the same promble with my 2006 sti the blue smoke out the exhaust and its like a burning oil smell , and I got it check out by potter automotive in sac and he heard a ticking sound on the intake side , he think It might be that I need a valve adjustment . the subie sounding great :)
