New externally mounted roller garage door 😃 

It has been a game changer for me. 8 inches tall, 8 inches deep and 95 inches long.

Not a problem at all. It cost £1520 and that includes £120 for a 5 year warranty.

Hi, if the door fails there is a cap you remove on the underside of the white metal box that houses the roller and a winding pole that you use to manually raise and lower the door. Not sure on the brand as ‘Essex roller doors’ (essexrollerdoors.co.uk) don’t state the manufacturer. Their service was spot on and the instillation as you say is very good indeed.

I was told very secure. More secure than a standard up and over garage.

I would assume it must be. You would have to somehow remove it from where it is bolted into the wall though. I have to be honest. Security was not my aim with this so I didn’t ask those questions.

Nope. Completely water tight. No issues at all. It is designed to be external like the ones on shop fronts. I can’t say enough how much of a difference it has made.

Exactly. We currently have very drafty wooden doors fitted externally, and we are massively limited with depth of garage as it's been partitioned. I can fit my bike in there currently, however if we fit an internal roller door then it wouldn't fit. I've already gone on a few websites to get some quotes and ask if they fit external electric doors. Thanks again bud 👍

Yeah, really good video. I’d be interested to know the slat size too as I am deciding between 55 or 77 and yours looks great!

@@andrewl4878 sorry for being dim. Are you literally referring to the number of horizontal slats? What difference does it make? I can count if that helps but will only be a count of the visible slats.

@@wheelsandwatches No, it is the width of the individual slat so there are narrower 55mm slats and bigger 77mm slats. There would be less slats if 77mm and this apparently makes the door stronger/more secure especially if very wide.

It is indeed. No problems at all. If you research them and buy from a decent company they are very reliable.

yes they are, the door is fitted back to front. This is utterly tragic......

It is the same implementation used for shop frontages. So the slats are reversed.

Not sure, it’s a standard single. They came and measured it to ensure the correct door was chosen. I can measure it if that helps you in some way.

It’s 90 inches wide at the opening and 104 inches wide internally. Hope that helps.
