That is correct though. Jan 6th was an attack vs the election process which is a fundamental part of our democracy - Trump attempted to stage a coup to overturn an election he lost. While 9/11 was a horrible and tragic attack vs America and its citizens, it didn’t attempt to subvert the Constitution (although one cannot say the same of the Patriot Act)

Those who believe that Trump is an ally for Israel are mistaken: he is an ally for Netanyahu. Someone who the majority of the Israeli electorate is itching to get out of office, and whose far right party is largely responsible for the current state of the regional conflict. It would be incredibly dangerous for the region and for global politics and security if the US elects someone who holds this kind of extremism in high regard.
