UPDATE 2/21/2024: Hit Hero in just 342 in-game hours (Season 4: 71h, Season 5: 191h, CU29 80h). From Infection alone, I gained 4,397,330 XP in 122 hours. At this pace, an infection only Hero run would've only taken 257.42 hours or 10.72 days. *OLD COMMENT* Many comments have mentioned Firefight, and while I agree that it offers consistent XP, it still doesn't match the XP per hour that you can earn in Infection. Not only is the XP ceiling for Infection much higher, it takes significantly less time than a 15 minute Firefight game. As you improve at Infection, you'll find that XP gains surpass what you'd typically earn in Firefight. But if you want a more casual experience, Firefight is still a reliable method.
I think the analysis in this video is pretty biased as there's probably only a handful of people that can actually crank out high kill matches on Infection regularly (you being one of them) - it's highly unlikely that the average person would be able to hit 50+ kill games consistently, whereas almost anyone can hit 3k XP MINIUMUM if they sat in the hills while playing Firefight, not killing a single enemy You have to realize that the % of skilled players is relatively small compared to the entire player base, and a lot of people won't ever be able to hit 25 kills per match, let alone 50 - 100 that you're showing in this video Also, in the long run XP per hour doesn't really matter when compared to XP per match; you could play 6 Infection matches in an hour (10 min. each) getting 5000 XP one match and 1000 XP for the other 5, only netting 10k, or someone could play 4 matches of FF (15 min. length) and crank out 12k XP in an hour (roughly 3k per match if you just sat in the hills doing nothing else - add kills on top of that, then skulls, and you could net 5k - 7k a match, 28k in an hour) XP per match > XP per hour
@@KillerChickenz01 How? Consistency is key, if you can only play 5 matches a day, you'll want to maximize the amount of XP you get; PvP XP varies greatly, especially with factors like SBMM Firefight is solid and guarantees a certain amount of XP every game, and when you're grinding, having that peace of mind is a lot better than sweating to meet a quota every session I crank out 100,000 XP a day with firefight EDIT: to sum up my point, the game doesn't award you XP for the time you play - it awards XP based on performance, so your XP per hour does not matter whatsoever when compared to XP per match If you know you'll earn 5k XP every FF match, then you'll spend your days playing FF vs maybe getting 5k XP in a PvP match every so often (when in reality it's more like 2k - 3k)
EDIT: As of Jan. 26/2024 I've hit Hero rank - took me 2,198 matches, about half of them were normal Firefight I went from mid-Plat to Hero in 8 weeks; started tracking XP needed on Dec. 1st @ 7,868,015 til Hero and cranked out a minimum of 100k a day (some days I hit 200k) I hit Onyx 1 on December 22nd, and hit Hero a little over a month later. I started playing Infinite on Oct. 24, 2023. Took about 795 hours, but some of that was spent 100%ing Campaign. I ended up switching back to BTB for the last few Onyx ranks because of how boring and tedious FF got; it's extremely draining, but consistent. Averaging out my XP per day from 7,868,015 to 0, I was earning 140,500 XP per day (56 days total) ------------------------------------------------------------- OLD COMMENT: ------------------------------------------------------------- I feel like Firefight is far more consistent & doesn't affect your K/D (which is a huge bonus) I average 5000 XP per FF match (without skulls) and grind out minimum 100k XP a day that way, but have gotten up to 250k in one day just grinding FF Went from 7,868,015 XP needed 'til Hero on Dec. 1st to 4,943,595 XP needed as of this comment (Dec. 23) but will likely be 4,880,000 later tonight Another thing worth noting is that SpartanRecord doesn't recalculate how many matches you might need once you start grinding out large XP amounts per game (which is annoying) but I'm estimating it'll take 989 more matches til I get to Hero Went from 4055 games needed on Dec. 1st to 2483 games as of this comment, that's an average of 1990 XP a game (but I'm earning 2.5x that playing FF every day) This is just my opinion and insight from stats I've been tracking since the start of the month, everyone is different but FF seems a lot more solid than Infection and Husky - I'd take a consistent 3000 - 6000 XP per match, keeping my KD the same, and being able to chill vs sweating constantly and stressing over trying to farm kills in PvP
@@prooftanks752 I play Normal, Heroic and Legendary still aren't worth it even with the current XP multipliers unless you have a 4stack and can grind out skulls every match Even if you sit in the hill and do nothing else on Normal, you'll get 3k XP a match; throw in skulls and kills on top of that and you'll easily get 4500+ per game One thing I will note is that skulls aren't really a priority for the most part, but I would recommend trying to get at least 1 on the first round so you can get an extra 800 XP that match; if you can get the 3 easy skulls (Famine, Catch and Fog) then that's even better, but the game rarely gives that and throws Thunderstorm & Mythic for skulls 2 & 3 most of the time (which does NOT make it worth the XP as the enemies are bullet sponges at that point) Normal is the best mode at this point, 343 should have given Heroic a 1.3x and Legendary a 1.5x XP modifier imo
While infection inflated my KD like crazy (2.1 to 2.96), I definitely see firefight being a viable option for people wanting a more laid back experience. This guide was more of a maximalist approach showing what’s possible when skill is used to milk the most XP out of each game. I still see infection being on top of the 3 pvp playlists that virtually have no XP cap.
@@prooftanks752 I think Heroic is 1.15x exp and Legendary is 1.25x. Unless you got a team that doesn't die so you can get skulls which gives more exp, I think normal would be the best for getting exp. You have a higher chance of getting skulls in normal since it's easier to stay alive so I always find myself getting around the same amount of exp I would get in Heroic or Legendary. Sometimes even higher. If you got a bunch of skilled friends that can survive the whole game and capture all the hills on Legendary then that would be the fastest way to get exp. Your exp would probably be around 8,000-10,000 per game if you can manage to pull that off.
i dont have the patience to be the infected constantly being killed, the best mode is husky raid and firefight. those 2 modes alone tripled my score with little to no effort. horde requires effort which is great but it makes the grind noticeable to me
Id say its a bit biased tbf, from my experience i never played any onfected match where anyone got more than 60 and thats rare It all depends on matchmaking, and if the infected work together or non infected are all in the same spot, eother you get gangbanged or everyone is fighting to kill the same zombie Its just not consistent Firefight is the most consistent way is firefight
Great video man! Infection is definitely an underrated mode for grinding, helped me get through most of Plat and Diamond, but I wouldn't say that this is THE definitive mode to play I made a video on Hero rank a couple months back, with the main portion of it detailing the best playlist to grind, and a lot of people commented different playlist that worked out specifically for them. I don't think there's "one true playlist" that everyone can grind, a lot of people have different playstyle and have different preferences on modes they want to play.
Thanks man and congrats on hitting Hero! I see what you mean, others could def have varying results depending on how they play. While no playlist is a “one size fits all” situation, I just wanted to share the most efficient route that helped me out personally
Even if Infection isn't best for some, you're video was really informative on the mode, keep up the good work dog! (And thanks, the grind was mentally crippling 💀)
Firefight not getting a mention isn’t right. When you can average 4,000-5,000 xp per match. firefight is THE fastest way and THE most consistent way to get hero rank. Tis the facts man
Firefight takes at least 5 minutes longer while gaining the same amount of XP as Infection’s floor. I’m averaging 5405 xp every 10 min with this method spartanrecord.com/service_record/playlist/jericz/00cd3ab8-4b24-4181-8493-7aee34751f52
I can’t find a match in infection. Even when the search time says 20 seconds my game just sits and searches for an hour whiteout finding a game in infection. How did you get past this?
The cheese spots are why I stoped playing infection. It’s not fun at all. They need a shotgun only infection mode. Unlimited ammo but you ONLY have a shotgun. Then again having everyone camp a room with unlimited ammo shotguns would be ridiculous so maybe unlimited use of ammo boxes but have those boxes in high risk no cover areas out in the open.
@@jerics ^^^^ fools a clown, AIMBOT ALL DAY = TRASH. see how it goes to the next player on the other side of the walls instantly but he doesn't keep shooting his infinite ammo cause it'll give it away. PPL these days always falling for fake stuff from clowns= 2024
You can do the same in fire fight, but its a matter of having good teammates (aka not going down 247) Get a crap ton of kills and ur Gucci, especially Rn since Grunt Apocalypse is going on
I’m sorry but in what world is it common to drop 60 kill games in this mode? Like I played this for like a month and never have I anyone go past 30 even that was rare. Like you have actually got to be loosing it
@@optomysticartist7768 my fault, id say about 30-40 hours total as i’m still relatively new but this channel has improved my movement and gameplay by a landslide. not many creators put in the thought of delivering useful info in such a direct and concise way like jeric does
@@jerics +a little auto aim with my aimbot program.... I can't believe he keeps faking too like he actually doing it and youre a clown for believing it.😂🤡🤡🤡
@@jerics 1:32 -1:39 is where I could see easy. and I wasn't even looking for it. why you keep looking at the wall over by flag????? hmmmmm why do you keep having to bring it back......hmmmmmm what a joke. im really surprised no one called your fake A out yet tbh. where the real ones at anymore....SHHHEEEEEEEEE
this is only for gods at the game, xp is extremely inconsistent and camping spots are unreliable due to limited amount of ammo and intelligent infected that dispose of you in 5 seconds after finding you.
It depends. If you play on mouse and keyboard or controller. If you play controller, you're going to be farmed by mouse and keyboard players who have the obvious advantage. Which, in my opinion, is a complete joke. If they would make it fair competitively, Hero rank for both inputs would be respected. Other than that, very few have the skills for both inputs, and it's a shame that forced crossplay is a thing.
Spartanrecord.com says you're getting 20,346 XP per hour with husky raid. As of right now, I'm averaging 38,326 XP per hour with infection. The playlist is a farm once you get used to it.
"AND GUYS WHAT YOU ALSO WANT TO DO IS DOWNLOAD YOURSELF SOME HAX LIKE AIMBOT CAUSE WE CANT AIM WITHOUT IT" -actin like someone youre not. look how his reticle goes straight to next player on the other side of the walls. you have no skill I can't believe you talk about skill like you good.😂💀
"anyone better than me has to be CHEATING!!". If you check my stats I've been performing at the highest level since the game came out. Take off the tinfoil hat. if something was actually up, I would've been banned ages ago
@@jerics the fact that you took that time and effort to reply is sus itself. " if I just deny it they won't be about to prove it" huh. to 90% if people, it looks good w/e. but when you, AND EVERYONE CHECK IT OUT!!!, look at the aim after he kills one, it shoots to the next, even through the walls. quit tryin to be someone you not. and FYI.... @@RPP-n2r "The fact that you took the time to reply is sus" so you're admitting that you're just looking for attention? I've gotten messages like these for years and every time it's been refuted. You're not special lmao
I’d wager that legendary firefight is absolutely not worth it, at least playing with randoms. Idiots don’t realize what they got themselves into, die almost immediately and lose potential skull bonus for next round. Heroic almost isn’t even worth it either. I can get 6k points consistently on normal FF, assuming randoms don’t die. When FF launched, I was at platinum lieutenant and as of today I just hit diamond Gunnery Sergeant. And that’s playing usually 2 - 3 hours a day. Never been a big infection fan.
bro its easy to tell......bro uses aimbot.......a menace like in the sense he thinks he's good and has to put on a front to feel like someone in the world..... sad.... and he really GOT ALLL OF YOU, YOU ALL GULLIBLE AF
I don't know. Hoth FF Normal nets me 4k EXP each game I'm sitting in the Platinum Branch rn, and it takes 4-5 games to rank up. The games are super quick if you slay fast. I was able to blow through Gold in a day just playing Hoth FF Normal. The issue about Infection and other PvP modes is that dreaded SBMM. Yes you will rock in those game but when you wanna relax you can't.
