Now this is a Story all about how My VRC life flipped upside down And i'd like to take a minute and sit right here Ill tell you how the Devs messed up here: In 2017 released and shown Its features were lacking and playerbase grow But early was the game and all was cool We we enjoyed ourselves and let the game grow People were waiting after few longs years addressed features to Dev but no one cared and some little heroes ignored t-o-s and the first small mods had entered test. After some long months the players got all the features and gave it a shot the mods grow and it came out not only good attentions came with the crowd Crashers and Rippers joined the Rooms The VR Laggers and some peoples Dooms Their Tools Avatar and sometimes Client The Moderation of vrc failed on the line. The Heros they entered the fight, they added mods in which way they shined, they protected their Players with their own Client but now one hate question that lies in the shelf: Why didn't the Devs of VRC just made it themselves? A good great Time and anything grow, The Modders had plenty and a lot to show, but still the question after full long years Why did vrc not implemented what players cared? Now the Line where everything changed The Devs have spoken and the Players raged, EAC entered the Chat, the argumentation, the only solution they had. The Community Told what ever was clear a lot of features are missing here and out of nowhere as subscriptions drop they tried to care about features the game with the mods have got. And now one thing i want to add, why is it only now so relevant? Why are they now able to develop things in just some days that we have asked in hundred ways. Now their Players have to decide, is this a a Trap or is it a Fight, Do the Devs really care? explanations they gave made it really unclear… What i can see from where im at, i wish i could have a dev talk+chat, with the real Question that ive here had PART 2: Part 2: They told us problems they told us lies storys about few annoying flys using Crashers using clients Lobby freezes and avatars lagging games and ripper tasks problem that we can't deny but eac not all will fight Modder groups with good solutions were speaking to the Group of Devs but instead of considering, eac is what we get. Modloaders and interfaces could have be an good solution Closing holes of Developers open ways of contributions adding all features before eac listing features with priority talking with modders and their code showing respect the devs have owed All the mods and all the crashers the heroes made it way much better instead of asking for their assist for adding safety they have missed instead they fight majority and they now play authority Instead of take some moderation vrc becomes a shitost station, crying kids and screaming peoples that's why we need daily sleep pills there is so much more than just crashers its 8y year olds calling themselfs pssy smashers but instead of all these things they decided to do what stinks taking the mods long worked ideas they copy all and claim its theirs and now they wonder we are not satisfied they must be deaf they must be blind they may need the mods they fight
Take a moment to listen to me as a oculus quest 2 player it ruined my gameplay it was unplayable when I joined games there were ever invisible exploiter / they spammed my roles just for the fun of it maybe mods are good for a pc player but as a oculus player it really sucks playing vrchat I can only play with fellow oculus players or its just unplayable.
Back when I started making my own avatars, you had to bypass the 20k poly limiter by default to make the ofter atleast 25k avatars work, if you are still new to creating them (besides some were crazy bigger than that anyway...) Also would like to add, I refuse any discussion with them, cause after nearly 5 years, you either with them and its fine or you are against them and can lead to timeouts up to perma-ban, if they give in to discussion, cause of high enough pressure or the comment request comes from a bigger figure, the tone switches from smug to apologetic and evasive phrasing, also acting as if they cared.
I'm pretty sure what they're doing is just damage control, they probably snagged code from mod devs just to implement a lot of these features. They annoyingly keep dodging around EAC which is the root of the community's outrage. I will say that yeah, it's nice they're finally adding some of these features, but it shouldn't have taken this long and taken this much outrage just to add them. They easily could've worked with the community too, but had refused.
You're obviously a very simple, negative, and black and white kind of person. You are literally making excuses in advance, just in case the devs do the good thing. Devs implementing new stuff quickly would really hurt the hater hivemind wouldn't it? So you have to make excuses early so you can make the good things look like bad things. Jeez... That's sad. Let me tell you something you probably wouln't have thought in a million years. Do you have any idea how much of their dev time has been wasted because of hundreds and hundreds of support tickets and reports they had to deal with every single day manually because they had no anti cheat? Well, obviously you don't, so let me tell you. It's a lot. And do you know how much of that time is now available because of pre-emptive anti cheat? That's also a lot.
Well... that's what happens if you have no real competition, so i see the situation right now as a good thing! It just shows that we need to voice our opinions 👍
theyve always showed they dont care about us, its time to move on to a better game, with a great dev team, a super cool world loading transition and a cute redheaded mascot with a framerate in the triples
While I'm glad they're officially adding these features, since it means Quest users will have these features, I'm still severely disappointed. EAC has done nothing except harm the community, it hasn't even stopped the crashers! People have already learned to bypass it! What they should do is just remove EAC, admit they fucked up, and look for a better solution, like you know, *a server side solution*. That way, people can have client mods, but the server prevents malicious things from happening.
I guess this is good-ish, but I'm still gonna be playing other social vr games too, never going back to only playing vrc or changing my review back after the security update
idc about any of these, what needs added first if they're gunna take our mods and throw them in themselves is a TTS and closed captions option for mute/deaf/and HoH users
They need to move to a newer version of unity. I think its still on 2019. Which would explain ChilloutVR's much better performance. And I mean 3-4 times better performance
Chillout uses the GPU thes why it runs SO MUCH BETTER Vrc uses the CPU which is flippin dumb It annoys me tonsee how people are already going bavk to vrc like they have Stockholm syndrome instead of staying away and ACTAULLY voting with their wallets and their USER numbers
Honestly, Home Instance Type seems really interesting. I just wonder if it'll load you into an already existing public?.. regardless I'd definately find an old hub to set my world to like either 2017 hub or 2018 hub. Be cool to experience loading into a public world again from straight launching the game..
For me that was the standard for 3 iterations of the "Hub" (first semi-medieval one, the newer sky platform and that semi dark one I can barely describe, cause I stopped around then for a long while and the "Home" thing #4 was standard when I came back) of VRChat before I set my home via command line at some point.

I get why the devs made home worlds an option cause at that time publics in vrc were WAY more hostile then they been in the last few years. 2018 I remember the PNGs that covered the screens and prevented menu use.
The horizon thing is wrong, you were looking at a video for Adjustable menu. Horizon adjust is a feature that lets people play the game while laying down.
You can manually set fsr on using adrenaline software and that enables fsr in every game. Albeit you have to change like 10 things instead of one. If you want I can drop all the settings for it later today in another reply
@@walterej769 In graphics. Anti-lag on, Radeon chill off, Radeon boost off, image sharpening off, enhanced sync off, vertical refresh always on. In advanced graphics leave everything the same aside from making sure texture filtering is in performance mode. In display. Free sync off, super resolution off, gpu scaling on, scaling mode preserve aspect ratio, interfered scaling disabled. All of this combined will get close to the mods effects but not perfectly do to it happening outside of the game systems.
you should end each point with - Which is already a mod they have ripped off. but its good to see a clear read out of what should be implimentd, should help alot of people realise all these features available.
Using EAC to block mods feels like telling bystanders to stop doing CPR on someone because the ambulance is on the way and will be there in 10 minutes.

I only been on vrchat for aess than a year but i only notice that they never made new additions and instead changed existing features. They should have added new stuff especially wanted stuff rather than do what they did and even said planned but wont be implemented in the near future
I don't think I'm going back to VRChat because I can't have blacklisted avatars So now I have to see all the not safe for work avatars and have a custom start screen with very sick music
All right I seen they're going to have some sort of blacklist now I want them to add a debug console so I know where my data is going I don't feel safe without some sort of debug console I use it on every single game that I play
honestly my avatar search was all i really cared for, hopping worlds to find someone who wears an avatar that isn't in a world is god awful and i refuse to hunt for avatars
I think hide avatar via ID will be like, you click on someone’s avatar, and by the button where it said “avatar performance” it’ll say “hide this avatar”, that’ll do the hide this avatar that use this ID. I’m unsure don’t quote me on it

thank you, i now see no mentions about the other mod(s) im still new to all this and was literally just about to buy a leap motion hand tracking camera however i had this feeling i should peek into vrchat once more since after starting, and ending vrchat 2 years ago due to vr sets being expensive, which still are, and so with enough saved and being introduced to leap motion mod videos over the years i had hopes, until i looked into it vrc once more, the video title the day vrchat died caught my eye and oh my goodness i am glad i didn't just normally go out and buy it because vrc was the only thing i planned on using it for.
Horizon View is not Comfy menu, it’s pretty much like a player rotater. I was confused at first because I thought it was the comfy menu as well, but if you read it, it tells you how it works and it’s not comfy vr menu
I really wish they added more support on keyboard and mouse. I don't have vr headset and it kind of sucks playing games like this on keyboard and mouse. At least Chillout had it figured it out with some of their keyboard controls, although it's not perfect but at least it's something. That being said, I tend to find games like this rather boring on keyboard&mouse. Although from what I hear the text-to-speech thing seems kinds worth it. I tend to be silent in game because I'm insecure of voice (rarely talk actually) and my English (when I speak it that is), so that would be useful for me.
I really hope they add a avatar search because it's a pain to look for the avatar I want so I hope they add one if not then chilloutvr is my new hangout spot because they have a avatar search then again vrchat has more problems then a avatar search so yea
I really like all these changes to the game. Personal mirror looks amazing. Adding notes to people is nice. The text to speech add on is very good. I honestly think though which has caused a lot of damage is this update should of came out before the anticheat was implemented. It caused lots of people to get very upset and cry. Including me, I hated the idea of something that was going to drop people's FPS and take away some people's ability to properly play the game. If VR chat wanted to purge the modders and cheaters then they were successful in doing so but at a cost of losing many people to other VR chatting games.
How they can help fix VRC They can keep EAC disabled, BUT, community vote on features, whichever feature seems to get the most praise, gets added in. let the community vote on features. let us have a say! then people will be more than happy to come back. listen to your community and u will get rewarded.
Thinking about giving up on VR Chat their avatar search is garbage im tired going world after world costing more and more of my gb just for a specific avatar scavanger hunt.

Honestly them adding all these features that were previously mods, is great. But this just proves that all these features have been possible for a while now. And clearly people have been asking for for a long time. However, that does not restore any trust they obliterated with the community, with the way they handled adding EAC to the game. Ignoring people, banning anyone who criticized it, and just completely locking off the steam update post from comments, because they knew people would complain about it. Their response to this was just one big middle finger that said "We hear you, but fuck you we don't care about you or the community". Now that mods can't be used, they have all the excuse in the world to just steal the code from the big mods out there and put them in the game themselves. But this is literally just damage control. It's all it is. They could of done these things a while ago, but now that they fucked up so hard by adding EAC and got all this backlash, they are panicking and trying to put a bandage over it. It's honestly disgraceful. Just go to ChilloutVR instead, it has all these features already baked in and more, with them encouraging you to mod the game AND has an Avatar Search function. Their servers are a bit of a mess but they are actively working on improving it and are extremely transparent on their discord/twitter about it.
I'll bet they shit their britches after losing like 10k players in a matter of hours. After they were done beating the crap out of each other, decided they had better get on implementing some of the things the community is demanding. At least we know the uninstall button is working just fine.
did they just befriend modders only to to take what the modders made and implement it into the game? kind of sounds like it. hm. since no abuse of modding. makes me wander if unity model stuff will be experimented with now. like a way for noclip and what not. as for eac where there's a will there's a way.

This doesn’t get rid of EAC. I don’t see that ever going away. This is the, ‘Mods weren’t only malicious?’ response the dev team has for the community. They claim to of put the big things on hold and assigned development of popular, highly requested, previously mod features and whatnot to the team in order to get things out asap. Would of been nice if these were out before the EAC release, even in the same update, but we’re finally getting things we’ve been asking about for years. Hopefully they pull through and it drops in the next couple weeks, Max. All the gifs/videos I’ve been seeing make some features look done. But looks can be deceiving.
Now the only mods I use are for the searching avatars so maybe that'll be like a update down the road they may update it where you can search for avatars and maybe for like the mod I used where you joined a world and in the avatar tab itll show public avatars you can turn into so if they do something like that I'll be like one to stay in vrchat but the problems that has is like if you didn't want someone to wear the same avatar as you I kinda see that they wouldn't need the like allow avatar cloning options but who knows maybe they will do something like that because if they do that I'll probably play a lot more than what I play now but just to talk about the mods I am most indefinite know they won't be gone for too long because vrchat won't make money off of people playing they'll just have popularity by people playing but how they make there money is thru the vrc+ so will they make any money after the eac implement most likely not because the reason why people buy vrc+ is because of the mods and when they implement the eac most people got rid of the subscription so most likely in a few years or so vrchat is gonna hurt for money and I think in the future of vrchat eac will not always be there cause of the vrc+ subscriptions they will lose so most likely mods will return but most clients such as emm and others are moving to cvr but what they could do so vrc+ gets a huge hit is Have a limit of favorites for the people who don't want vrc+ and then when people buy vrc+ they get unlimited favorites that would increase there sales on vrc+ but will they do that most likely not but they lost there wow factor for the vrc+ subscription so to make up for it they would need to implement something big to get people to subscribe again because otherwise they are just gonna lose money quickly and vrchat is just gonna drown like rn its on fire but there vrc+ is drowning so it's up to them I just think they need to create like a new wow factor for the vrc+ because rn it's a rip off cause it doesn't provide as much as it did with mods around so yea they are in really bad situation rn
