What VRC WAS going to be using but they called it off because their lazy ass didn't want to rewrite the code for VRChat again. So they stayed with unity.
This game is currently on sale be sure to snatch it up! Such a beautiful VR game. store.steampowered.com/app/1047640/Helios/ Their discord server: discord.com/invite/98upZDm
Lo he comprado. -------------------- I bought it. Spectacular with Unreal Engine. The house they give you is wonderful, although the truth is that it tempts me more to build something myself. I hope you will have the option to upload environments or objects and tutorials in RU-vid. Helios It's a generational leap in virtual worlds, and this is for those looking the best, the most realistic and exciting worlds. Great job. Keep that great work.
I was waiting so much for this review, I hope Helios VR have more people to join because I can see the potencial have…its so realistic and make me remember to the movie “Ready player one”…this could be “The Oasis”?
I hope more people jump into this game soon! I sure am going to be on it more frequently than other games. The graphics are so fantastic that I dont want to hop back in vrc/cvr LOL. Everything looks so niceeeeee
@@JordanVR for sure, I hope you could make a tutorial uploading avatar please. Also Helios need more help for publicity , need to be spreed around and the best way is media RU-vid, streamers, social media , I hope this can happened because not everybody engage with Helios yet, like me I just knew 3 days ago on servers they show other options and they mention 🥺
@@cherrygirl8204 I’ll eventually make a tutorial for that, just need to learn unreal engine a little bit haha. I have my FBX in there but haven’t done anything else yet. I hope more content creators make content about this game I loveeeee it 😩
I played helios before vrchat did a dumb update and even tho its in early development I enjoyed it so far and I even talked to the dev in game. I will mostly play chillout vr and helios vr for now on.
Idk why, but Helios seems familiar in some way. Like I seen it around at one point, but "something" kept me from actually just trying it like I did with Chillout. It just seems odd to me really since I just tried out Chillout randomly way before these whole shenanigans with VRChat started happening so clearly, I was able to just play a game to try it without issue. I'm not sure if I seen something "sus" with Helios in the comments or whatever, but what I DO know, is that the high quality stuff there looking really nice, and I DO want to give it a try. My comment may have sounded like I was trying to give some hidden message or something, but I was legit tripping out wondering if I tried this game already and why I chose not to keep using it if the stuff so far looks neat.
I really like the way that this game plays and feels you could recreate actual games inside of it rather than using VR chat which just uses unity and you can sort of kind of get what you want. With helios you could definitely have the Sims or GTA but in VR
NEOS VR has an incomplete standalone/quest version behind their patreon, If you haven't checked it out then NEOS is absolutely worth it. It also runs within its own engine, currently only using Unity for rendering, though I've caught word that they have their own rendering system in the works. That makes for two non-Unity competitors. Yes, the learning curve has a bit of a steep start compared to Chillout or VRChat, but it's incredibly intuitive once you get the basics. Aside from that, it looks like a lot of what you went through is essentially showcase content; once you get a lot of community uploaded content, the quality will knock back down to average VRChat/Chillout/Neos quality.
umm kinda, I mean only behind certain plans. But there's a community issue with NEOS, there's a reason why NEOS isn't that popular yet. Trust me my 1.2K hours and contributions, will be good enough to know about it.
@@lordharryvarden Care to expand on the community issues? As far as I've seen, the NEOS community, which partially includes me has been extremely welcoming and helpful to their best ability when it comes to new people. It does get hectic with a lot of people in one instance spawning and toying with the various gags and items that the community has made, though.
I figured out how to play VRChat with mods without EAC thinking that there are any installed. When you install MelonLoader, it installs a file called 'version.dll" in VRChat's main directory. EAC doesn't detect the "Mods" folder, any mods in it, or even "MelonLoader' itself. *It only detects this "version.dll" file* that is required by MelonLoader so that it can run. If you rename "version.dll" to any other filename (such as skjdej.dll), VRChat will run and EAC won't detect it. *BUT* MelonLoader can only recognize the file by it's filename, "version". If MelonLoader releases an update with "version.dll" being changed to any other name in existence then EAC won't detect version.dll, and mods should work again...
Version dll is the proxy that it uses to inject into the game. renaming it wont do anything. Im sure theres a better way to explain it but im not a dev lol
honestly seems far more optimized than unity even with the graphics maxed out lol so much smoother. my steamvr render resolution is set to 500% stable 60fps with valve index
Hey I’m not Jordan but… If you buy with the promo is running rn you will play with the futures they offer, no need to paid for anything, I hope this solve your doubts.
Helios's biggest, flaw, having to pay for it not a good start to get someone into it, plus there are a bunch of bugs there, and it's apparently easy to get hacked by others there.
I mean it is a unreal engine, devs have to pay a royalty to epic games. I think having to pay for it would stop a lot of malicious users as well as young kids from playing the game. The price still is very affordable imo.
my pc will catch on fire if I even try playing this in vr no cap, still looks really nice though, just shame I don't have the equipment capable of running it
I was able to run my steamvr resolution at 500% in fullbody in a public world and I was at a steady 60fps which is really good.. seems really optimized
@@hayzzzVR I have a quest 2 but I have NO GPU and run everything entirely off CPU in VRC I get average 11FPS, and CVR I average maybe 20-30FPS at most,Helios in VR genuinely would most likely set my PC on fire if I tried running it through the quest
Lol he thinks his Raytracing is off. But those frames tells me otherwise Edit: The nerf guns can be picked up and used by other people, but not on the server world sadly.
After the actions of what VRChat Did, me and three other devs were joking about making another platform, and three days later we're writing the heart of the platform with with a goal in mind not to follow VRChat's path and build the game around an API modding core to give everyone the power to not only create avatars, worlds, etc. But to create mods to allow people to make themselves feel right at home in a virtual reality world.
