Bought one last month after taking an extended test drive in Range, one pedal driving, mode which I really enjoyed despite my preference for petrol cars with a manual gearbox and sporty exhaust note. Same dimensions and performance as the car I traded in, a 4 year old Renault Twingo GT, so it fits nicely into my garage and makes a very good replacement.
The ultimate car review channel, as always. Now short or long views. Can I raise here something all review sites do (so not directed here) and probably covered a million times elsewhere....... (get on with it - me) Charging time to 80% is all well and good, and I understand battery speed drops off from there - but if I buy a car with a maximum nominal range of 200 miles then I would want that battery fully charged as often as possible. On a trip, sure - another quick top up to 80% will get you home and more - but I would like to see both figures quoted as a matter of course, over different charging speeds - especially for those without home charging. (shutting up now!)
Oh no, they have gone all ugly plastic in the cockpit. My current 2013 has delightful classic interior with big round buttons. There's nothing inside this new one that makes me want to change.
As regards turning circle, the Abarth version is hopeless in that respect. Im sure there is a reason for it. I still think a hybrid would be my next car. Im not convinced at all by EVs yet, simply because its far too early in the development stages. Ancient lithium ion batteries being one of the problems.
