4 Max 2G must be the best bc it has that new widget feature. I've only Chromecast with TV on an old 2010 flatscreen HDMI/USB. Until two minutes ago I had no clue there was 4K 1st and 2nd gen on both the 4k options. I want my old TV to act like my Echo 8 with these crappy widgets so i guess I'll have to pay $45 for 4k Max G2 over the $25 Firestick. Thanks, I Think, but truly more confused now than ever at A47. ~12/24/2023.
Thanks for pointing that for streaming, these high speeds are irrelevant. I cut my Xfinity plan from the 1 gig to 400 Mbps, which saved me $30 per month. You should really think of the 'speed' number from your ISP as 'throughput', as multiple devices running at the same time are splitting the throughput.
@@TheFrenchGlow No, what i mean is that I just bought a Fire TV Stick 4K (Mantis). It should be released in 2018, but after I check the box it says 2021 and has a 3rd Gen remote. The Stick itself is an actual Mantis (checked in Device info). But it's weird since I couldn't find a similar package on any website, including Amazon.
@@TheFrenchGlowI Have done the same !, I Have the Alexa Pro Remote, I just bought the Official FireStick Ethernet Adaptor as I'm right by the router. I have 1 gig down and 500 Mbps up, but the main router is downstairs connected to another router thru a LONG CAT6 CABLE upstairs, I get the same speeds on my FireStick as you do. Yet it buffers on some 20mbps streams so although the Ethernet Adaptor caps at 100mbps nothing streaming wise ( I don't game ) needs above 100mbps and it's WAY more stable apparently. So never any buffering I shall see tomorrow when it arrives and report back. I Have a Polk react soundbar with the sub and sats, and it is an echo inbuilt so I it's like having a cube. Just randomly all came through together randomly haha 😆
Hi! The new 4k max (2nd Gen) has wifi 6e and some hardware upgrades but most people will not notice any difference between 2021 and 2023 4k max unless they are in a very congested 5ghz area.
I have the FireStick 4k MAX 1st Gen, Am I right in thinking that the FireStick 4k 2nd Gen is just a reboxed FireStick 4k MAX 1st Gen ?.@@TheFrenchGlow
does the 4k stick (non-max) 2023 make more sense from a budget option? note: I especially want to hardwire via ethernet connection for the best internet connection, may you have alternative options from Amazon to incorporate. another question: is there a difference between the 2021 Firestick 4k (non-max) vs the the 2023 new fire Stick 4k (non-max)? Debating on whether to use an older model I have, vs the newer model. The max sounds awesome, but I aim to mainly use this for web apps not available on the Samsung TV.
I thought I had an answer for you was going to say yea you need 4k max 2G for the new ambient mode or whatever its called; but your ending sounds like youre leagues ahead of me knowing how to use apps on your TV. I am finding it hard to catch-up to evolving tech. I've no clue how lay folk manage it nor how the cell phone only youth of today will ever get to square one. Seems a Masters in CS is needed in the quickly coming world of today.
Will the 4K Max 2nd Gen, help with the buffering issue, i have on IPTV, i have a regular 4K fire stick, i have T Mobile WIFI router, getting good down load speeds, around 290 megs, thinking of up grading to, this 4K Max 2nd Gen, Thanks for any suggestions.
My question would be, is there any improvement in the image from fire tv4k to firetv 4k max, or is it just the speed in the applications and more storage?
Going to the shop tomorrow to buy my dad one for his birthday, if a get a reply in time which do people recommend out them all? Either 3rd or 4K is I think the way to go
My tv and movies experience isn’t ever a problem but why is it so slow on sporting events? Especially college football. My ESPN always lags on my stick but rocku TV’s don’t lag much at all.
