yeah the only complaint i had were the slow animations, it took forever to change bait

@adammaginnis719 I actually kinda started to like the old fishing mechanics, I think I like it better than the change. Seemed intuitive with pulling the rod away to reel in.

@@desmondhume333 yeah even tho I got used to the new way the original way to fish was just fine for me but hey that is what happens when enough people complain about things they get changed but I do like adding more fish in the fish tank depending on the size of the fish.

I couldn't agree more it only needed a bit of a UI makeover. I haven't personally tested the new system yet so I can't say which I like better. But I never had a problem with the old way, a lot of people did though

Is it that bad? I keep hearing that. I haven't personally gotten hands on yet so I can't say which system I like better, but I didn't have any problems aside from the ui with the old fishing system

@@FringePatriotGaming yes it is pretty bad this minigame is buggy by pressing A or D it’s not filling up in time and the fish gets stamina back while you are running out of it pretty fast…I finally eat food to get more stamina and managed to get some fish but still even with stamina buffs quote of success like 20% max… This fishing thing should be relaxing it this isn’t at all. Anyways a good game I like it a lot and it’s good that they work on it

I hear a lot of complaints. I can't personally jump into it to know exactly what you mesn until I get off work, it looked much easier though so in their showcase so I'm surprised.

No way are you serious? I've got work today I can't jump in and check it out myself until later, are you putting your reel tension in the red? I'll check it out as soon as I can and see if there is a method to the madness

@@FringePatriotGaming Everyone says the same (which is what im still doing) i've tried keeping iit on red 90%, i've tried 70-80% the fish's capture rate (which is above the fish itself), I've also tried keeping it on 50% and below, i've tried switching rods, places, world server, relogs, same bug. Some people in my server also experienced it, where the the fish's capture rate is just stuck at 50% and it keeps going up even if u did everything correctly up until the fish's stamina depletes to zero.

To also clarify, i have tried fishing earlier before i encountered this problem, and im getting around 1 fish every 2-3 mins the rate's so LOW, i guess for now we're just gonna gaslit each other into thinking we did something wrong XD. nah there's def something off other than us if many end users has similar problem.

There is also a bug where doing the a or d thing gives them stamina rather than take it. Have had that happen to me A LOT. Gotta fully close and open the game.

@@ducky5848 I had that happen to me during a fish or two but I thought I was just too slow on the prompt because it wasn't happening consistently

Hopefully it helped. Apparently there is a bug that causes the a and d pull rod prompt to not register even though they say they are. If you start losing fish relog

I've heard people complaining about the new system. I can't jump into it deep until after I get off work tonight. I'll drop an update if there are any solid methods to catch em all

I started messing around again after I commented and I figured it out. Now I can catch fish! I even got an electric eel

I liked the old system as well. Just a tiny ui tweak would have made it much better. I don't mind the new system either though tbh.

I've heard this at least a dozen times today. I haven't gotten my hands on it personally yet but I'm off work in 20 minutes and am dying to see why people are saying the system is so bad. I'll probably have a video out diving more in depth into the topic once I can get some time with the new system

I didn't mind the old way either it just needed a proper U.I. I haven't been able to get hands on with the new system yet but I've seen a lot of people complaining

@@FringePatriotGaming yeah once you get used to the new fishing mechanic it works well but it feels weird at first but I hope they add a combat invite system to Manibus public event which I mentioned in their official discord for Once Human.

If the a and prompt look like they are working but you still don't catch fish try re logging because that's a bug that re logging usually fixes. If that's not the problem and you are still losing fish then idk I could barely force myself to lose a fish

I'm in PC, having the same problem, they may have some problem with the "capture rating" of the fish itself, they're known for being bad at regression testing so TONS of bugs are to be expect every update unfortunately.

I don't use controller I use keyboard and mouse and I am not actually failing to fish I just don't like the new way to fish.

Oh, it's with the left mouse button releasing it or clicking it....this system seems way harder than before. If people couldn't figure out to point the pole away to find the sweet spot, they are never going to be able to to it this way with all the added steps.

Feathering the reel button would be my guess. I haven't gotten hands on with the system, I broke down their showcase. When I get off work imma jump into it though and put out an update if there is any nuance to the system that I missed. It seems like there is because I've seen a lot of complaints about people losing fish

It's not a fishing game it's fishing inside of a game, idk what they label he game survival mmo or something

That's entirely possible. The system looks simple to me but I haven't gotten hands on with it yet so I don't know if their complaints are valid.

No man, this new system sucks. Fish have never ending stamina. 20 TRIES and not one fish. My stamina is gone, and does not stay up like this video is showing.. Old way was much better and more relaxing. No one is whinning this new way was made to baby it down for those who didnt figure out the other way, now this way is either bugged or im no dumb to get it.

@figuresix haha I've heard those exact complaints all day today. I'm itching to go try it out. My guess is it is either some sort of bug or the balancing is way off. I can't say for sure until I try it in a few hours

better try it 1st. because watching it is useless. they made the system very simple on the streaming. but on real player fishing? it sucks.!!!

It is simple and I still don't like it I prefer the old way. I have no problem catching fish the new way but I still don't like it.
