As for the spinning fill, I would have put a small knob of some type to hold onto the rod as your spooling the reel. Just something to hold onto giving you more control as you go back and forth...

You totally miss a big market willing to spend money - the bass baitcasters. What you have is a despooler and a spinning reel spooler. Useless for my 40+ baitcast reels as I can already hand-crank line onto a reel with what I have.
