Thanks for this video, I was looking to use carpet tiles in the kids bedroom. I wanted a simple easy way to floor they’re room. I was looking for something, I can easily remove if needs be due to stains. This video is very informative 😊 I’m from the UK by the way.
Even though they are not attached to the subfloor, they are attached to each other, so they don’t slide around at all. I currently have two different rooms of carpet tiles, and we vacuum them with no problem whatsoever 😊
Maybe this is a dumb question, but could this work on stairs? And could/would it work with the stair nosing? This would be somewhat of a temporary solution (3-5 years), until we do our stairs in hardwood (when refinishing our hardwood floors elsewhere). For context, we have pine board treads, and subfloor landings- the landings are cut at an angle. Thanks!!!
I would say yes on the actual step but I don't think they are as flexible to go around the tip of the steps. That's a good idea though. I would have never thought about that 😮
What is the sq ft area of the room, how much was it in total and how long did it take? In hours? Im a stay at home mom with 3 under 3 so i need to do this myself but have limited time to do so
I’m going off memory but approximately 140 ft.² and total material cost was probably $400. Time is very quick and efficient. I would say the whole project from beginning to end was only about an hour and a half 😊
