There’s quite a few of those. They’re just so hard that no one wants to play them.

They exist but afaik they're all pretty small scale. I think the primary issue is how to make it appealing to play for the majority who will never finish, otherwise it'll not be financially feasible to make the game very long or polished. And it's easy to make the game insanely hard: Just make a segment that requires frame perfect execution multiple times with no breaks and huge penalties for failing, using as many different mechanics as possible. And you could include something dumb like a platform only being there for one frame once per 24 minutes. In the spirit of Foddian games it should still have deterministic physics and smooth controls - but it'd be harder if the controls were annoying and it used lots of randomness.
