Beltracchi designed the Fiesta Vignale in the style of Campendonk. The body of the small car was dismantled at the Th. Willy AG in Kriens. Wolfgang Beltracchi painted the pieces individually in his studio in Meggen. He always had to take into account that the image around the car has to give a whole - even for a great artist a challenge. Back at the Th. Willy AG, the vehicle was assembled and Beltracchi has completed the transitions. An elaborate lacquer ensures the brilliance and the depth effect of the colors.
The whole process took more than two months. Had Beltracchi painted a canvas of the Fiesta's surface, the picture would have traded for a six-figure amount. Ford Switzerland will donate the proceeds of the vehicle to a non-profit organization after Art on Ice.
Vignale, Ford's highest equipment line, stands for high-quality materials, the greatest care in processing and attention to detail. The name "Vignale" is a reminder to the Italian designers and coachbuilders of the company "Carozzeria Vignale" - and thus to the legendary craftsmanship tradition of Italian bodybuilders and upholsterers. The company was founded in 1946 by Alfredo Vignale (1913 to 1969) in Turin.
