New Ford Kuga 2024 Test Drive 

Hi Dan, the "L" mode works with a dead battery as maximum recuperation. When the battery is fully charged, the internal combustion engine starts and brakes the engine without recuperation. I have a Kuga 2.5 Hybrid 4x4 (2022) and long-term consumption is 5.77l/100km

5,7L/100 km is absolutely insane for a such a heavy vehicle and 2.5L engine.

Nice video, Dan, as always. As far as I know the 2.5 engine is built in cooperation with Mazda and the hybrid system is from Toyota. Probably the eCvt also. So the question for me is why to take Ford and not the Toyota Rav4 which is with great reliability. And the price will be similar. By the way the car sounds like rav4.

I checked out the PHEV ST-Line X which is priced equaly to the Active X version as there are only some styling diferences. It costs around 43600 eur with all the possible nice extras and dealer discounts. The only thing this car is missing is ventilated seats. The exterior looks decent and from the options and technology point of view, this car seems like good value, however in my opinion, the biggest downside of this car is its interior look and feel. Either you have not checked out the interiors of a Mazda CX-5 or a Kia Sportage or even an MG eHS either you are extremely biased towards this car... In my opinion, asking the same amount of money as those mentioned vehicles (which are similarly priced) with this interior cannot make this car a success...The interior simply looks and feels cheap for the asking price. I would only buy this car of I didn't have other options as far as interiors go.
