Got the ST Line First Edition in white. Had it since 1/9/20 and must say I love it. Still finding all sorts of magic little features that it does eg take your seatbelt off while the engine is running, and it automatically puts the handbrake on, mad!😀. Had 2 older model Kugas before and this one wipes the floor with them. Loving it👍🏻
A few questions 😁 How much MPG are you getting motorway and in town? .how is the drive?.Is if smooth drive or noisy due to CVT engine especially in motorway?. .,does it respond well for overtaking and is it fast enough and pick up well?. .does the interior bland as it look? .does ford pass work well?. Too many questions but your answer will help me pick my car
@@justinfrancis4259 MPG in town is 5.2l/100kms sometime much less if all electric (2.2l/100kms). Motorways, we have not done much of that but it is no more than 5.3l/100kms. There is absolutely no issue with CVT noise and the engine note is quiet up to 130kph. Overtaking, just enjoy it. In Normal mode its quick enough, but you can select Sport mode with a press and off you go. Pick up is satisfactory. My interior is the ST Line so has the red piping etc, the ambient lighting adds to it. The worst feature is the useless tonneau cover in the boot. It is flimsy and will get damaged. It’s kept in the bedroom of my house.
@@justinfrancis4259 the Pass app is good for starting the car on a hot day before you get to it. I am not sure about the journey info as it keeps telling me I corner to hard 😝 I would say it needs more development time.
Subjective of course- but bolt on chunky infotainment looks a little dated. A few styling tweaks externally needed too for me; front headlights too big. I like Ford so would love them to get it right.
I have a hybrid 2.5 petrol automatic, this is my second Kuga ST. The engine bay looks like like an oil refinery, a plastic cover would make it look nicer.
Really enjoying Cam’s reviews - even more of a ‘real world’ review than I have found elsewhere, and in a pretty crowded market. Looking for a replacement car again now, and bounce between Carwow Matt and here - keep up the good work Cam! Oh, and I really quite like the Kuga - it’s on my shortlist for first steps into the hybrid world.
If you want more clattery get the 190ps Auto AWD,that does clattery very well,the sound when pulling away either slowly or quickly is akin to a hammer drill crossed with an electric lawnmower,i'm not kiidin it does my head in.
I’ve got the same model in white coming in may, same couldn’t test drive, I owned the mk 1 kuga, great drive, looking forward to picking it up, let us no how your first drive goes
I’ve had the Vignale with the same engine and A8 AWD since October, and I LOVE it. Pulls really well, overtakes nicely, and in sport mode, handles the back roads beautifully. I get about 50.7 mpg out of it.
I don't like the way the infotainment screen sticks up unsupported and without a glare shroud. The one in my 2017 Focus is built-in and doesn't look like some afterthought.
I've just ordered the ST LINE X ECOBLUE 2.0 190 Tdci Auto AWD as my Motability Car its got what I'm after in a car for my comfort and smile I have Rheumatoid Althritus but still work as a professional Driver
This car looks good from the outside - but is a complete letdown once you sit inside. Ford interiors are awful (my opinion) just hate the way it looks, I really wanted to like it but compared with something like the Kia Sportage it’s just light years behind.
I Had the previous generation and I cant believe they've carried those seats over.the bases are tiny leaving a huge gap under your knees.very poor.they need an extended base and more side bolstering.im only 5 ft 8 and they were very unsupported all round which is a shame
A 4x4 version is available in Titanium, St line and Vignale trim (2.0 diesel with auto box) and the size and heft of the thing qualify this as an SUV. A soft roader at best maybe but a 4x4 is available.
Such a really strange set up of petrol engines and very low powered for such a big car? Seems daft to have 118BHP for a near 2 tonne car... 1.5 petrol should be 180BHP with electrification assistance
Sorry that dash led set up is utter rubbish I stopped buying fords long time ago after the mondeo totally usless vehicle at the time thou this kuga car looks good from outside
